Just got one of these today and had to watch your video to see if yours was the same… the number stickers on the pedal adjustment are back to front compared to all the others.
I've watched a few of these videos on Kayaks and one thing I have never seen anyone do is show how easy (Or not) it is to access the front storage on the water or even an Esky in the rear area - IF you do another video could I ask that you consider doing this?
@@d1v1s1onby0 Just thought I'd provide you a quick video to show you the Esky on the rear... I don't have a video showing me standing and accessing the front hatch but I can tell you that it is definitely possible and easy
Yes that Kayak is awesome but many of us can not afford that kind of Kayak but it is very nice , even the side handles are located in a perfect spot to crab it up and is a awesome looking Kayak too !!
I've been using Nextgen 11.5 offshore fishing for 1 year something now great kayak only thing i need to upgrade is the drive they need to bring back that propeller drive can't stay vertical when jigging and bottom fishing imagine always pulling out the paddle to stay vertical
Yeah typically it's not really made for offshore fishing however if you're careful it can work... As for thinking of upgrading your drive system there is some things that they are bringing out now that might be beneficial
Hey mate I have this at the moment m.vevor.com.au/kayak-cart-c_12089/vevor-adjustable-kayak-cart-canoe-boat-carrier-450lbs-load-with-12-solid-tires-p_010966491989?adp=gmc&ad_group=&ad_id=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwxLKxBhA7EiwAXO0R0I3BHggoeWjCEhQWuneG4aE-bTz2ya2YcVK8mzJFrtIuOArTAv9q2xoCFIgQAvD_BwE
I bought one last week , its a bit different to yours , my draw doesn't stop sliding forward where yours stops . Also those holes for the cable for the motor at the back are not there ,I have the ones at the front , but I thought they might have been a drainage hole , so that's another thing I missed out on ..... I think the rudder could have not been so wide , I feel it cutting into the sand or the shore when exiting the water to the trolley , I think it makes it harder to slide , do you have that problem or do always use it on a boat trailer on boat ramps ? Nice video .👍
Do you use a kayak trolley to move the kayak around? I know what you mean with the rudder protruding out from the body of the kayak. However I would prefer that then compromising on the awesome turning circle that it gives. I found that a good trolley will help you to manoeuvre it effectively ❤️🙏
@@robfur ok thanks for clarifying mate... Unfortunately the only way around that would be to get a trolley you can attach while it's still in the water then wheel it out... If you are on soft sand you would need the larger inflatable tires
Gave my new Kayak 11.5 its first run the other day, absolutely magic, 3 cod and 4 Callop. I like the changes to the seat with yours, it took a while to get mine just right, the rails look more stable and there are good adjustment points. It would be good if they made a billet for the area where the pedals go, so you could stick an electric motor in and still use your rudder while the motor is rigid, if the battery goes flat just undo it and slip the pedals back in.
@1lime1000 just joking around Of course... They will have drives coming soon that have reverse options... However at the price point that is currently available it is the standard forward drive 🙏
@gckayakfishing true i would happily pay an extra 6 to $-800 , for that. Until then ill hold off ,,yak looks good for what it is ,,,drive system still way behind unfortunately , , good review tho mate 👍
@@1lime1000 yeah for sure mate that's a fair call... The car is awesome I'm looking forward to when they release the new drive... They also have some pretty awesome electric motors 🙏

I do use a trolley, but it's the first bit of dragging it out of the water that got me . All good after that using the trolley.

Very nice... Yeah for sure 👍
Is looks like this kayak is made by Vanhunks or vice versa.
I can see some similarities but the guys at K2K here in Australia have designed this NextGen 11.5 for the Australian kayak fishing market 💪👍
Dose the drive system have Reverse & kick back??
Yes if you put it in the opposite direction
@gckayakfishing lMFAO, thats a big no lol

I like these kayaks, sadly. Only for Australia, I'm assuming.
Yeah I think so at the moment but who knows what the future holds
Probably inspired me to get one.
