Ive got an NG12 too and yep found those deck rubber plug rod holder storage things whatever you call them... a pain with letting in water to the hull. Also think some of the preinstalled plates need a bit of extra marine silicon applied to them to seal out water from the hull, apart from that pretty solid kayak for its price 👌👌 The only thing I'm thinking of adding to improve is a DIY keel guard made out of kydex as those Berley Pro Ng12 ones seem to a bit to small and overpriced. Might even add some extra protection near the Stern to help protect the hull when loading on & off car as well as when coming in to the shore to land.
@@Spector06111 hey thanks for the comment! My mate Zac and I will design something with his 3d printer Also you're not wrong about the kayak being solid for its price you get a good amount compared to other brands in its price range Also I have a video on the material I used for keel guard I personally think it's better than kydex as it's cheaper, thicker and easy to access no where in Townsville sell kydex
Hey mate, have you had any issues with side scan and the way you have mounted your transducer? I have a Garmin striker 9sv on a next gen 10 mk2 and have mounted the transducer in the same way you have but haven’t had it on the water yet to test the side scan out.
@@jamie5236 hey mate originally I had a piece of foam between the transducer and plate, that gave me a lot of problems, I removed the foam and now it all works perfectly
G'day mate good luck with her 😊 which weir are you in mate and do you plan on putting her in on the stand🤔 i still use the old orange and black dragon kayak, hopefully i see you out one day.
Hey mate thank you! I'm in blacks weir, also I'll eventually try the strand from something different also I owned a dragon kayak back in the day! Such a good kayak!! I'll keep an eye out for you!
Will have to ship my Coleman ram x 15ft canoe up to Eli,s place. That way I can get you to set up the 54lb watersnake canoe motor with the remote you have set up for yours mate. My Coleman has a outrigger so fatboys like myself can stand without losing balance. I put a lowrance colour sounder with gps and plotter. The Coleman is the large tour model made for camping away trips. 2 people plus swags, tackle, cooking equipment. Perfect for chasing Saratoga and Sooties, JP,s etc. Any way I like how you have set yours up Jun it's a credit to you mate. Regards B.J. P.S. Just a small request can you edit and show Eli and yourself hunting J.P,s please mate?
@@brianbochow that would be good if you did bring it! I reckon I could make something work with the motor depending if the mount is the same also Eli and I will hopefully get a full day JP fishing in the future and get a good video out of it!
