I love it when UA-cam recommends Modded 3DS videos and you even showed your physical collection. I was obsessed with your Wild World game holder, that looks so cool. I sold my FireRed and Crystal but I never owned them originally anyway. The ones I have are in a Pokemon Black carrying case. I have a modded New 3DS XL Pikachu Edition, although I'm a bigger fan of my stock New Pikachu 2DS XL and the one you have (I love the dual colors)
Yes, me too! 🥰 Prior to filming my own video, I was watching SOOO many other modded 2DS/3DS videos so I could figure out how to film mine + get recommendations for games I might've never heard about. The battery replacements for the original GameBoy games are super easy and cheap to do, most game shops will change them for $5-10, if you don't feel comfortable soldering.
Just to let you know: you can copy all your stuff across from your old SD card to your new SD card so you can have it all in one place! You just need an SD card reader and some kind of computer. Then you can plug in the old SD card and copy everything onto the computer, then plug in the new SD card and copy the files onto it (tho make sure not to replace any files. If you’d prefer, you can just find where the save data for your New Leaf file is on the SD card and copy that across instead but that might take a bit more time to find it). I’d also HIGHLY recommend making a copy of the new SD card as well and that way if anything goes wrong you haven’t lost anything.
@@DxityDoo I did, but unfortunately one file would just not cross over :/ I saw someone on Reddit have a similar issue, and it had something to do with having already transferring one system to another in the past (this is my second 3DS. I had the original upon release, and then system transferred once I got this one years ago ;-;). @@DxityDoo I would hope so, but it's OK! :) I do still have my ACNL cartridge + my Crystal one. The only problem with my Crystal one is that it malfunctions, so thankfully I have the Virtual Console version! I can only boot up my ACNL cartridge if I use it with my old SD card. But I was considering getting ACNL digitally and starting a new file on my 3DS with the new SD card! We'll see 'cause since then I had been replaying Wild World so that keeps me busy

Noooo I'm so sorry to hear that! 🥺 I feel your pain but in regards to my missing older cartridges, like my original Yellow, Blue, Red, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, and FireRed cartridges 😭 idk what I did with them, RIP. I absolutely loved Soul Silver! I never got to play Platinum but plan to play it some time :) I heard it was great!

But if you're afraid of doing it yourself (which is completely valid!!), I would suggest getting someone else to do it for you 🤩 I did mine myself and I also don't consider myself that tech savvy either. However, it wasn't as bad as I thought as I followed this written guide: 3ds.hacks.guide Before modding my 3DS/while I was researching about it, I remember a different creator highly emphasized not to follow video tutorials because the process has changed various times over the years. But that the written guide is constantly updated + can't lead you wrong! But Fantasy Life is fun, you should definitely check it out! You can play co op on it with friends too which is wha made it super awesome for me! They're making a sequel for it on the switch too!

You should know that TCG 2 has had a fan translation for a while now. It adds the Team Rocket expansion and allows players to play as a girl. I have it on my 3DS and finished it a few years ago.
I knew about the sequel, but didn't find out about the English translation until some time after I had made this video! I got it for my 3DS :) I love it so far, but want to go through this ROM hack of the original TCG that incorporated gen 2 Pokémon first before continuing the sequel!

I just bought a copy of pokemon TCG but the battery died in mine too. :( but this led me to find a rom hack called TCG Neo. You HAVE to check it out! It's all gen 2 pokemon! Having a blast playing it.

Someone had actually made an English patch for it, so I've been playing it recently and absolutely love it. try the yo-kai watch franchise, i mean the game has 3 mainline games on the 3ds: YO-KAI WATCH / YO-KAI WATCH 2 (It has 3 editions pick psychic specters its like pokemon platinum for pokemon pearl and diamond / and YO-KAI WATCH 3 ! Highly can recomand it. It is a bit like pokemon where u catch like team members but its just so much better. love it

I unfortunately don’t have a capture card installed on my 3DS :((( it’s also the old 3DS XL model, so even though I could do it wirelessly, it’s so slow it’s not worth it 😭 I tested it out myself and it was terrible! I heard the new 3DS/2DS models can do it seamlessly though!

Hello! I got the .CIA files of them :) the ones I couldn’t find existing .CIA files of by googling, I just downloaded the ROM + play it through the emulator on my 3DS. Try googling the game title + adding .CIA file in the search and see what comes up! There’s a way to make your own too. I haven’t done it myself so I’m not knowledgeable on that 😅 but the software is called Ultimate GBC VC Injector! I would do some research if you’re planning to make your own :) hope that helps!!

Yes, me too! 🥰 Prior to filming my own video, I was watching SOOO many other modded 2DS/3DS videos so I could figure out how to film mine + get recommendations for games I might've never heard about. It was so fun for me to share my collection just as much as it was enjoyable watching other's share their own~

The battery replacements for the original GameBoy games are super easy and cheap to do, most game shops will change them for $5-10, if you don't feel comfortable soldering.

Just to let you know: you can copy all your stuff across from your old SD card to your new SD card so you can have it all in one place!
You just need an SD card reader and some kind of computer. Then you can plug in the old SD card and copy everything onto the computer, then plug in the new SD card and copy the files onto it (tho make sure not to replace any files. If you’d prefer, you can just find where the save data for your New Leaf file is on the SD card and copy that across instead but that might take a bit more time to find it).
I’d also HIGHLY recommend making a copy of the new SD card as well and that way if anything goes wrong you haven’t lost anything.
@@DxityDoo I did, but unfortunately one file would just not cross over :/ I saw someone on Reddit have a similar issue, and it had something to do with having already transferring one system to another in the past (this is my second 3DS. I had the original upon release, and then system transferred once I got this one years ago ;-;). The only thing I was sad about was not being able to have my New Leaf file accessible + losing my Crystal save file that I had because I hatched a shiny Magby 💔 but I was willing to just cut my losses + start over because more games + storage ✨ I can at least still access my New Leaf file using my old SD card too :)

@@DxityDoo I would hope so, but it's OK! :) I do still have my ACNL cartridge + my Crystal one. The only problem with my Crystal one is that it malfunctions, so thankfully I have the Virtual Console version! I can only boot up my ACNL cartridge if I use it with my old SD card. But I was considering getting ACNL digitally and starting a new file on my 3DS with the new SD card! We'll see 'cause since then I had been replaying Wild World so that keeps me busy

Noooo I'm so sorry to hear that! 🥺 I feel your pain but in regards to my missing older cartridges, like my original Yellow, Blue, Red, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, and FireRed cartridges 😭 idk what I did with them, RIP. I absolutely loved Soul Silver! I never got to play Platinum but plan to play it some time :) I heard it was great!

Omg please do it! But if you're afraid of doing it yourself (which is completely valid!!), I would suggest getting someone else to do it for you 🤩 I did mine myself and I also don't consider myself that tech savvy either. However, it wasn't as bad as I thought as I followed this written guide: 3ds.hacks.guide
Before modding my 3DS/while I was researching about it, I remember a different creator highly emphasized not to follow video tutorials because the process has changed various times over the years. But that the written guide is constantly updated + can't lead you wrong!

To this day my 2ds is my most used console of all time! Fantasy Life was my most played game over pokemon, mario, and Zelda 😅
I don't blame you! Ever since I modded my 3DS, I feel like I haven't touched my Switch in ages 😅 I think the game I had played the most on my 3DS was Animal Crossing: New Leaf! I never played Fantasy Life so I'll need to check it out :)
@irisdearie even with a switch I keep coming back to my 2ds, there's just so much nostalgia with all the pokemon and Zelda games that came out with it! But Fantasy Life is fun, you should definitely check it out! You can play co op on it with friends too which is wha made it super awesome for me! They're making a sequel for it on the switch too!

Omg yes, it is SO good! I really love the music + getting to see all of the cards from back then in pixel form. They did such a great job with it! I'm still salty over the fact that the sequel to it was region locked 😭 because in the sequel, there was a playable female character + I believe they incorporated Team Rocket into the story! I'm glad we had this convo because this just reminded me to get it onto my 3DS 😂 so thank you to you as well! 💖 I saw that someone had actually released an English patch for the game so 👀

You should know that TCG 2 has had a fan translation for a while now. It adds the Team Rocket expansion and allows players to play as a girl. I have it on my 3DS and finished it a few years ago.
I knew about the sequel, but didn't find out about the English translation until some time after I had made this video! I got it for my 3DS :) I love it so far, but want to go through this ROM hack of the original TCG that incorporated gen 2 Pokémon first before continuing the sequel!

I just bought a copy of pokemon TCG but the battery died in mine too. :( but this led me to find a rom hack called TCG Neo. You HAVE to check it out! It's all gen 2 pokemon! Having a blast playing it.

try the yo-kai watch franchise, i mean the game has 3 mainline games on the 3ds: YO-KAI WATCH / YO-KAI WATCH 2 (It has 3 editions pick psychic specters its like pokemon platinum for pokemon pearl and diamond / and YO-KAI WATCH 3 ! Highly can recomand it. It is a bit like pokemon where u catch like team members but its just so much better. love it

I unfortunately don’t have a capture card installed on my 3DS :((( it’s also the old 3DS XL model, so even though I could do it wirelessly, it’s so slow it’s not worth it 😭 I tested it out myself and it was terrible! I heard the new 3DS/2DS models can do it seamlessly though!
My friend lent me their 2DS that has a capture card though 👀
@@johtocutieNew 2DS XL (the last model of 3DS) still needs to be modded w/ custom firmware to do it. But your Pokemon collection is adorable ^_^ If you're interested I highly recommend playing Medarot Girls Mission if you love that style of RPG's.

Aw that is completely valid! I was scared of modding mine myself too :/ But I followed that written guide step-by-step that I linked in the description and it wasn't too bad! Hello! I got the .CIA files of them :) the ones I couldn’t find existing .CIA files of by googling, I just downloaded the ROM + play it through the emulator on my 3DS. Try googling the game title + adding .CIA file in the search and see what comes up! There’s a way to make your own too. I haven’t done it myself so I’m not knowledgeable on that 😅 but the software is called Ultimate GBC VC Injector! I would do some research if you’re planning to make your own :) hope that helps!!
