That kalanchoe plant was pretty with its shiny leaves but the red flowers was just beautiful. So from 1 plant, you now have 3 pots. Your window sill would look lovely when you display all 3 pots. But I would like to know if the leaf propagation is successful. Keep us updated on that!🍀🌿
I'm curious to see how large a 'Mini Kalanchoe" can get, before I took the cuttings it was getting pretty big. I will be keeping an eye out for new roots on the leaf cutting. The flowers are stunning, did you see it when it was covered in blooms? ua-cam.com/video/kEBc4NFbxxg/v-deo.html
Thank you! This really helpful. Mine almost died because of root rot. So I tried to water propagate him after watching your video. Now new roots started to grow.
I’m just learning about this plant, and in the West Indies, I’ve learnt that you can just take a leaf like the one you had in your video that wasn’t doing anything and place it in a book and leave it for a few weeks and you will see it start to root on its own. What an amazing plant. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video! I really enjoyed how much depth you went into. I was searching for a great video on this plant topic, but none actually compared to yours! Thank you!!!
I'm glad you found it helpful. I have some new projects going with these plants ua-cam.com/video/XGXifnmgxMM/v-deo.html, in total I have about a dozen now just from taking stem and leaf cuttings! More updates are coming soon.
Can you repot Kalanchoe plant in a big pot ? I have a nice big pot and I like to have the plant in it re planted. I keep it outside here in California.
Can you please do more videos on Kalanchoe blossfeldiana it’s so hard to find good propagation videos of these plants. Also my kalanchoe is turning a lighter green idk what I’m doing wrong. Could it maybe be going dormant? I’ve only had it since November 2018. Is it slowly dying? I just don’t know. I may just say screw it and take a cutting, and start over. This was such a could video.
Oh cool, is that the Latin name? Thanks! I treat these like any other succulent really, they propagate best from stem cuttings, and can be rooted in water or soil. I have grown them from leaf cuttings too! You can see them in this recent video towards the end ua-cam.com/video/bII8UHbdJRI/v-deo.html Thanks for the feedback!
Sorry almost forgot, yellowing leaves can be a sign of lack of fertilizer. next time you water, use a mild liquid feed in the water and see if that helps. Also just let them dry out betweeen waterings to prevent rot. I hope that helps!
Hi, it's raining here in India can I plant my kalanchoe cutting in this season, and also my kalanchoe leaves are turning yellow,it seems that its dying
Not always. Some more delicate plants can rot easily, but I have found most of my succulents do fine as long as you let the soil dry out, and plant the water cuttings as soon as they have a good set of roots.
Pls help. I have kalanchoe left on window sill for about 2-3 yrs now. Watering it , ignored it for awhile and realised it’s growing tall. How can I replant or cut the stems again so I can plant and propagate it?
So would just one cutting, day the one from the water be planted alone in a pot? Or would you have to put several cuttings in a pot to make a new plant?
Kalanchoe 🥰 lovely succulents with thick green leaves and beautiful flowers ❤️
Your videos are pretty informative! And your voice is so calming! Awesome videos!
Thank you!

Oh I'm definitely going to try this... Wow ! Thank you. Stunning flowers on your Kalanchoe. 🙂
The new plants are doing great! The leaf we pulled off is starting to root too, I will have an update on them soon.
Thank you! This really helpful. Mine almost died because of root rot. So I tried to water propagate him after watching your video. Now new roots started to grow.
Great! Thanks for sharing your results. Make sure to let your soil dry out completely once you plant it out to prevent rot.

You can also plant the leaves, stem first, in soil to speed things up.

That was awesome to see how fast it grew roots, thanks for sharing
I was pleasantly surprised to see it do so well.
Bardzo ładna roślinka i z jednej ile radości super....:):):)
Very informative video! I love that you showed the outcome to both types of propagation. Thank you:)
I hope this helped :) thanks for watching!
Awesome 😊 love your videos ... Very peaceful...
Great video! For the cutting that was in soil, how frequently and how much did you water?
Thanks!
Bought 3 pots hope it keeps blooming :) Can I spray the leaves n does it like rainwater? Thanks
I think I read somewhere that they bloom more during short days, like a Christmas cactus
Mine bloom after Christmas, closer to spring.
Great info thanks for sharing.Much need advice on how to care for my plant now I can proagate to get more plants as well.

I have a tiny tubiflora plant is there a kalanchoe tubiflora mini version also ?
Can you repot Kalanchoe plant in a big pot ? I have a nice big pot and I like to have the plant in it re planted. I keep it outside here in California.
Brilliant video thankyou
Thanks!
Can we keep these plants out in the garden in London weather?
Probably, but I dont know if they would survive the winter.

my plant has gotten really, really leggy I need to try this. TY
Stem cuttings are easy to root and look great.
i really lov dis flower .....in which season we hav 2 du cuttng ?
I got this around Valentines day, so probably a few months before then.
Hi, it's raining here in India can I plant my kalanchoe cutting in this season, and also my kalanchoe leaves are turning yellow,it seems that its dying
Make sure they can dry out between waterings, so a pot under shelter is the best place for them. I hope that helps.
Is it imperative to let them dry for 24 hrs before putting in water/soil ? If so, why?
Not always. Some more delicate plants can rot easily, but I have found most of my succulents do fine as long as you let the soil dry out, and plant the water cuttings as soon as they have a good set of roots.
What happens to the place on the parent plant , where you took the cutting ?
It will usually heal and set out new growth, sometimes two new stems will form.
I find that cuttings and leaves from these plants will grow very well if treated with a root growth hormone.
Rooting hormone can work wonders. I never use it though, and the cuttings do fine.
I use honey it works great instead of root hormone, dip it and stick it in the soil, works on leaves too
Pls help. I have kalanchoe left on window sill for about 2-3 yrs now. Watering it , ignored it for awhile and realised it’s growing tall. How can I replant or cut the stems again so I can plant and propagate it?
Cut the top of the plant to your desired height, then plant the stem cutting in soil or water. Its that easy!
@@GiveitaGrow thank you
I have one of this .it became a humongous plant but no flower.
Any body knows why ?
You can try more morning and evening sun, warmer light can trigger flowers. Also a mild fertilizer could help.
What was the soil you used?
I use a cheap potting soil with added perlite.
Thanks a lot 😍🙏
Don’t you love them!
Yes I do :)
At 1:40 I saw a mealy bug 😱😱😱
Maria's Plants I thought it was a spider. I need to go back and pause. Hate mealy bugs found some on one of the plants I brought in. Dead bug now...
Amazing. That was fast rooting.
So would just one cutting, day the one from the water be planted alone in a pot? Or would you have to put several cuttings in a pot to make a new plant?
One will be enough, but you can plant a few together if you want a thicker plant faster.
Give it a Grow thank you so much for your responses!
Whow I need that
These are flowing right now, I love 'em
😉
