Reviewing the NUX NMP-2 Dual Foot Switch

- If the guitar amplifier you bought didn't come up with a footswitch, then you're probably scouring Facebook for a 2nd hand one that goes with your amp head. But if you're looking for one that uses a 1/4" TRS jack then you might want to consider the NUX NMP-2 Dual Footswitch. You can use it as a single or dual button stomping solution that let's you switch amp channels and possibly more. Some guitarists tend to also use this as a controller for their looper pedal but I'll be discussing this for those who've misplaced their amplifier's foot controller. Bear in mind this does not work for MIDI style foot controllers!

does it work with a Nux mighty bt20? and is it used for channel switching or for effect turning off/on as well

Just got this to reduce the footprint of my current foot switch and also to have LED indicators for what mode I'm on. Using a Boss katana mk1 hopefully it works!

i plugged nux nmp into blackstar id core. all it does is switch between two channels/presets on my amp. those two channels are not the ones that I want it to switch between. how can I get it to switch between the two channels I want?
Thanks for the video. Does the lightindicators only work if you connect the 9 volt adapter?? The pedal works without when connected to a N.ux ac 80 amp but i have no lights ??

Hi, it's a smooth press and the LEDS are the only indicator if something is engaged or not with this pedal. Cheers!
Hi, would you know if this footswitch is compatible with boss products?
Unfortunately I've no experience using it with Boss products. I would assume it would work if all it needs is a TRS quarter inch jack to toggle the effects but I've never tried it so it's hard to say.

Thanks for remembering man. I believe this is mainly for controlling a specific NUX Multifx pedal but I am just using it as an Amp Channel Footswitch as well.
With what you have in mind, I think the Mosky Loop Box pedal is more appropriate. Your guitar cable goes to the "In" then "out" connects with your Multifx or Amp, then "send" goes into the Input of your series of pedals (they should all be turned on), "return" connects to the output of the last pedal in the series. The Loopbox switch should basically either use the loop of pedals or bypass it all.
Fyi, I haven't used the Loop Box yet so I can't really give a review on how well it works. This is just my understanding of how I think it works.

Does this footswitch work with Boss Katana MkII 50?
I haven't tested it but I assume it should work properly with one. It looks like one footswitch will change Ch1/2 and the other would be for BankA/B. But that's just a guess at this point.

I saw a post in a FB group called Boss Katana Amps and one guy posted using the Nux nmp-2 and he says it works so I guess it really works with Katana amps.

hello good review, can you activate a + b at the same time. Does it work like a EHX switchblade + ? I want to have my bass clean channel (A) and bass dirt channel (B) and be able to activate both if needed. Thank you.
