Feeling that you're not improving while others at the back are now in front of you, improving much better than you caused you to feel unmotivated and the certainty to give up eventhough how much time you spent on art, something you loved that is now becoming something you hate. Thinking no one has bad art, you're the one who have bad art. ; - ; please don't give up, everyone has their own pace so stay patient and continue what you love, no need to see left right up down to think about your art.
God this makes me feel so much better about my art. I guess I forgot the reason why we draw in the first place and the reason why many of us started. Either to survive or vent those feelings as pictures. We draw in order to put our emotions out there, a little piece of ourselves. Because it makes things a little easier to bear. There’s nobody whose bad at art because art is personal to all of us. It’s our feelings and emotions.
My problem is that I can't express my emotions through art properly when I dont like the result, and I've never made a drawing I liked 100% so I'm never happy with what I made and consider myself bad at art
Really fucking good. The lyricism is ON POINT and WOW am I crying now. Thanks so much for the translation; I needed a bittersweet ballad like this. ♡ The double-meaning of the title is a gut-punch once you get to the end of the video. "There's no one who's bad at art" and "they're nowhere to be found"-- because you go into this thinking that the message will be "all art is good," but instead, it's "people who aren't successful enough to make a living off of their passion for art end up quitting or maybe even disappearing altogether." Wow, just shoot me, Suttaka.
Personally, I had trouble understanding the lyrics/meaning. “The people who drew because they didnt want to die, and we who drew because we wanted to die” Maybe I’m dumb, but I viewed this whole thing in the context of suicide and depression instead of art at first. Judging by the comments maybe this is about using art to lessen the pain of living, and just enjoying doing it for the sake of doing it, instead of being perfectionistic and not doing anything/giving up because looking at your less-than-perfect art hurts. Ive been perfectionistic for so many years, and kicking myself to make things better, and fix problems, and shoot for a higher standard for years now, and I pretty much forgot how to have fun... I think agonizing over how to live and really trying to live are super different. I’m starting to learn that the hard way. Im gonna try my best to enjoy the act of doing it.
This song is quite reflective of me. Especially that one line, "It really sucks when there's something you love in a place you hate." Sure, I still love a lot of other stuff, but they wouldn't have lasted as long as they do if I didn't reexamine the reason I loved art so much. I would have forgotten it all in a second. Remember, everyone learns at different paces, even if someone next to you doubled their art into something you've wanted in a short time, doesn't mean you should feel horrible about your own. Maybe you aren't doing something that the person next to you did. Find out what, why, how by viewing their art in a different light, asking them, or watching other's developments. You aren't being left behind by no one. You aren't being dragged down by the time you've spent on your art at all. 'Cause you are still trying, you still want to get back into it, and that's the best part... that you are still climbing. You'll find your way there, now just find the right edge to put your hand on. .I sorta got hit with a rock to realize it. A good rock.
Allow me to be the light in the comments!!! EVERYONE is good at art! You think your art sucks? Think it's bad? You're _wrong!_ An excuse like "Anatomy is hard" or "Colors are hard to work with" or "I don't have good enough resources to improve" doesn't matter! You may think your art is bad right now, but it gets better the more you practice! I've been drawing for like 5 years, and there's people my age in my grade that seem to be 'better' when really, we're all on the same level! We all have different styles, different characters, types of art, maybe one likes to paint and the other sketch, that doesn't make anyone better, we're all good at art! And so are you! If you keep trying, you'll find a style you enjoy, you'll make characters you get attached to and maybe even rely on as a vent source, and you'll be happy with your art, and yourself. It's a slow process, but it'll be okay!! :D
"there's something you love in a place you hate." this. I'm really depressed rn and I hate life, my art is the only thing keeping me going these days. too bad I have to stay alive and live life if I want to keep improving aha
I know someone who's thinking of giving up their passion in art entirely. Hopefully this song can motivate them to not give up on something they love. Thank you for your wonderful subs as always ❤
I relate to this song, because even tho I’ve been drawing for about 6 years seriously now, I debate quitting about every other day. I decide not to every time, obviously.
I love how Gumi sounds in here♡, and yeah I agree that no one is bad at art. Everyone has different styles, pace and techniques and that made them special and unique.
Absolutely. When you stop comparing, there's a sense of relief. You feel a lot better when you are not paying attention to the anger you harbor because of the difference. . . 'Cause then you get to pay attention to what made a drawing/painting/etc. good, that way you can learn some of those techniques instead. :P That's what I did.
I am manga artist and I understand this struggle all the way. Took me a full 2 months to reach the intermediate level of drawing Manga. Now I am just learning how to draw things on the front perspective which is hard case trying to draw a person who's walking forward on the front view is kinda hard to think
This is the first song in forever that I find myself listening to repeatedly.. I think everything about it just hits me really hard. Thanks for translating this.
every artist experiences the feeling that they are not doing enough, or that maybe compared to others you are not all that great! but listen, the title of this song is true! there is no one who is bad at art! with every picture you draw, your skills improve, no matter what you are always learning and bettering yourself. even if you go at a slow pace or start with no fans, your art isnt bad!
I had thought there was no one who couldn't draw because art is fullfilling for everyone. Then I met this one person, who really can't do anything artistically. Even the teacher gave him up. Just this one person.
MaryArts Well may he be on the side of light cause I'll be a facking chicken pecking his head a million times if he just gives up or well let me say I can believe he did his best.
MaryArts Well that's true. Imma agree. Though I did say at the end of my sentence ik he tried his best but that's only going to be confirmed by the actual commenter
That is a lie. I do art professionally, you know, but I still stand by the notion that There Are No Bad Artists. If you do art, no matter the medium, you are good at art. To improve, you need to feel confident in yourself, and to realize you will be great one day if you stick by what you do. Never give up, keep practicing, keep drawing, just. Keep going, no matter how long it takes, you will get to where you want to be one day.
I felt the same way when I was younger. But, again, as long as you keep drawing and have even the tiniest smidge of confidence in your work, you WILL improve. Even if you need to fake the confidence, it's better than nothing. Fake it 'til you make it is a viable strategy to combat self-esteem issues.
Ya girl Jayderade don't give up continue grasping on that hope and surely that hope will bring you somewhere you've never been before so keep fightingg

the guitar at 2:25 is loud and dissonant but in a way that's cathartic, almost like crying. no wonder it makes me cry whenever i get to that part

I keep coming back to this, theres something so comforting and nostalgic about this
I relate to this song, because even tho I’ve been drawing for about 6 years seriously now, I debate quitting about every other day. I decide not to every time, obviously.
9 years now! Hope you never quit. If you did, it doesn’t mean you have to stop forever. I hope you continue.
I love how Gumi sounds in here♡, and yeah I agree that no one is bad at art. Everyone has different styles, pace and techniques and that made them special and unique.
If you guys ever feel like your art is crap compared to others well
.
.
.
stop that. stop comparing. Comparison is the thief of joy
Absolutely. When you stop comparing, there's a sense of relief. You feel a lot better when you are not paying attention to the anger you harbor because of the difference.

Prior Cervantes Agreed, just focus on your art or use inspirations
very love-filled song

Jake PrimeX yeah, but he isn't interested in art anyway. He is more of a pratical type. A physican.
MaryArts
Well that's true. Imma agree. Though I did say at the end of my sentence ik he tried his best but that's only going to be confirmed by the actual commenter
Jake PrimeX I bet he did what he could do XD he was very serious, this is why we had a good laught because his "art" looked bad anyways
MaryArts
So true LMAO XD
This title is a lie. Exhibit A: Me
Alice Red Exhibit B: Me

Ya girl Jayderade don't give up continue grasping on that hope and surely that hope will bring you somewhere you've never been before so keep fightingg
What a cute song! X3
I'VE SEEN THAT ERASER BEFORE
man...
Damn...
I don’t think they’ve seen my art
but *I've* seen your art and *I* believe the title :,(
Depressing..
自分より下手くそな人が何処にもいなくて辛い!!
What if drawing in this song actually means cutting?
I can share, I don't own anything anyway
SOYAAAAAATUUUUUUU
