MSFS Addons Linker is a life saver for the Community folder. I have been using it for a very long time and would not be without it. I launch MSFS and other add-ons directly from Linker.
Another very interesting and useful video. I am an assiduous observer of your works, from which I learn a lot. In addition to thanking you for your work I want to ask for help (if possible) to create an ILS landing system in one of my airports (fictitious or not). Again, thank you very much.
I am working on an airport video now. Actually, this will be my third attempt. On all other endeavors, the video changed resolution, and all my recording was crap. I think today I will start working on a new airport video.
A few questions about how you are using AIG with the Add-Ons Linker. In your scenery folder I see you have folders for AIG, and then AIG OCI. Do you use AIG to hold the AI Manager, and the AIG Traffic Controller folders, and then your AIG OCI folder is the one you point to for AI Manager to install all of the sim object models and liveries? If that's correct, is the AIG OCI folder really the only one that needs to be linked back to your community folder in order for it all to work? In other words, the AIG folder you have could actually be set up outside of your scenery folder as long as AIG OCI was there and linked to Community? I also see you're running FSLTL Traffic all of the time (not linked), so do you link in AIG as well selectively on top of FSLTL? Asking because I used AIG extensively in P3D, but am jumping the fence now to MSFS and want to set it up to work with the linker. Looking forward to scenery improvement/creation on this side of the fence too, and your video's are great! Thank You! Keep them coming!
Hello. I haven’t used AIG in months. AIG is a great concept but I was ever able to achieve reliability. I used both methods with AIG it seems the linked OCI worked best although the installation will create an OCI. Maybe the installation method. I used created some of the AIG problems. With FSLTI I used a standard installation and not thou add on linker
@@patriotsix5880 Thanks! Good to know. Coincidentally saw your comments this evening over on the OverKill install video detailing your experience. I’ll give the linked install a shot, but if it misbehaves as you described will probably be using FSLTL as well. Then on to scenery!
@@jefftodd8037 do what you want brother but FSTL is quick, easy, works all the time, and as far as I can tell just as good. I am waiting to see what the Just Flight mod turnes out to be. Since you mentioned Overkill, AKA Mike, I was supposed to meet him last Satruday. I was in Arizona for a week vacation and was heading to Tuscon Saturday. We were going to Pima together. While on leg three of our trip, Winslow, I got very sick. It turned out to be Bacterial pneumonia. I spent four days in a Winslow hospital. I was in bad shape and didn't know it. It came out of nowhere. The bacteria had entered my bloodstream and I was starting to develop Sepsis. The vigilance of my wife saved my life because I didn't want to move and didn't know how sick I was. I would have stayed in the hotel room and who knows. So, I didn't meet Overkill but we were in contact. The good news is that I arrived home back in Nashville today and doing well. I have been luck in life. always healthy. So I had no idea what was going on with me. Oh, one more thing, FSTL will csue some stutters at large airports. It is a lot to manage with all of the full res models to manage. Good luck.
@@patriotsix5880 Oh Wow! Sounds like you were almost Patriot Six Feet Under!! Really glad to hear you're ok. That's scary. Now you for sure owe your wife getting all the way through that honey-do list around home! I owe my life to my wife as well for similar reason. Good sign that you have a lot more to teach people (at a minimum). We'll all look forward to that. Thanks for the advice. I'll probably experiment with FSTL and Just Flight when it arrives. Be well!
@@jefftodd8037 You win the comment of the year award here. That is hilarious and witty. It was scary for my wife but I never was afraid. I got nervous for a couple of hours when they wanted to do a CT-Scan of my lungs to ensure there was no malignancy. That was an anxious wait but I was not in total panic but contemplating the possibilities and next steps. They did not find anything so that is good. But the C word should make anybody nervous. Particularly me because my dad and my best buddy were taken out from pancreatic cancer in a matter of months. Thanks for the light moment and for watching.
