The talent of DHT to be able to be so dynamic and expressive while being silent AND wearing a prosthetic mask, and the talent of the prosthetic artists to create a mask that can move WITH him in that huge range of crazy facial expressions… absolutely insane. As a horror fan who wasn’t even born yet when Freddy, Jason, Michael, and Leatherface were first introduced, I’m so happy I get to see such an iconic piece of slasher history being written in my lifetime.

Great slasher movie but youre giving too much props, I get it if he were wearing a jason type mask that blocks out all his face but hes wearing a mask thats glued to his face. Any facial movement will be visible, which is the whole point to still show off facial expressions
comparing him to andy serkis is pretty crazy. he’s playing a mime character and mostly uses facial expressions and physical gestures. andy serkis is a vocal, physical and emotionally talented actor with a career spanning nearly 30 years and he’s taken on a huge variety of roles and characters. he also paved the way for motion capture acting which led to the planet of the apes movies and avatar which is nearly entirely motion captured performances. DHT is pretty much known for one role and it’s an entirely physical performance. he’s excellent in his role but he is not comparable to andy serkis at all
As an actie, I appreciate your appreciation for the craft but I think we'd be remiss if we didn't give the makeup artists their due for creating such unique, iconic, simple yet unmistakably stylized look that transforms his face without impeding his abilities to use his facial expressions for his acting, that is not easy to do! And as someone who loves makeup despite how bad I am at it, I have nothing but the utmost respect for people who are so damned good at it!
As someone who studied acting it makes appreciate David even more. He says so much with his facial expressions and his eyes. He tells a whole story without uttering a single word. Also props to the makeup crew for doing such an amazing job in such a quick time. I know the video is sped up but that type of application usually takes 2 to 3 hours if not longer. So kudos to them.

When you say 1st movie are you referring to terrifier 1 or all hallows eve as a lot of people forget art first came to light in that movie , so effectively there is now 4 films with art in, and I don't think all hallows eve had even 35000 budget , so your right they have come a long way and is truly amazing.

It’s the demeanor: so stoic but animated at the same time. He’s also very coy but extremely scary when you’re the victim and he’s in angry kill mode. There’s no first person shots when all this is happening but imagine you’re one of the actors that has to be hunted down by this clown, I can assume most of the actors were legit terrified at some points
I have watched a TON of content surrounding David Howard Thornton and he proves, every single time, to be an absolute delight on and off the screen. ❤ for the same reasons we all deeply love Robert Barton Englund (a true class act) we now love David H.T. ❤ he is already horror royalty in my heart and mind. My deepest love and appreciation goes out to everyone involved in the entire history surrounding the Terrifer franchise because you have all had a hand in bringing us the next generation of slasher and I personally have been waiting my whole life for THIS level of slasher.

I binge watched all three movies in a day, despite how gruesome it is, the movies were genuinely amazing and I loved them, plus, the way art just mocks them when he’s having fun, takes away the scary element so at least you can laugh every now and then

Saw this last night and I just can't stop thinking about how big of an achievement this is and how phenomenal it is to see an indie film series come so far. The progression from Art's original outings to what we have now is so inspiring to see and a big testament to the hard work of everyone involved. Sienna is easily one of the greatest final girls too!!

Personally I love the design of Art, he's a unique character and different from other slasher movies, plus way more gore. I'm a horror fanatic but Terrifier is my limit. I would honestly say if Terrifier (not All Hallows Eve) came out around the same time as the originals like Halloween, it would fit right in.
You say " not All Hallows Eve" but that movie was the one that formally introduced Art the Clown. Remember in the 1st Terrifier they woman with the mutilated face was being interviewed on TV? We never anything about her in Terrifier. Just she says in the interview she was attacked by Art. But the 3rd short story in All Hallows Eve was where the 1st Terrifier based the movie from and you see her in the car hunched over the steering wheel from just being attacked by Art with her face mangled. So All Hallows Eve is a must watch

Personally I love the design of Art, he's a unique character and different from other slasher movies, plus way more gore. I'm a horror fanatic but Terrifier is my limit.
I would honestly say if Terrifier (not All Hallows Eve) came out around the same time as the originals like Halloween, it would fit right in.
You say " not All Hallows Eve" but that movie was the one that formally introduced Art the Clown. Remember in the 1st Terrifier they woman with the mutilated face was being interviewed on TV? We never anything about her in Terrifier. Just she says in the interview she was attacked by Art. But the 3rd short story in All Hallows Eve was where the 1st Terrifier based the movie from and you see her in the car hunched over the steering wheel from just being attacked by Art with her face mangled. So All Hallows Eve is a must watch
