- Happy Halloween, and welcome to my first ever full-length crossover video! Thanks for the 500 subs, and to everyone who ever supported me on this channel! :D
Featuring: Gravity Falls & Danny Phantom

Story: The Fentons go on a road trip across Oregon, making a pit-stop at Gravity Falls. After Jack and Maddie take a tour around the Mystery Shack, they decide to spend a few more days in town to conduct research. Danny senses something wrong, and goes to investigate. Dipper, still burned from not being believed by the agents, goes outside - only to see a strange ghost flying in the distance.
The next day, Danny goes on an errand and asks Wendy for some stuff on behalf of his folks. Wendy asks what he’s doing in town, and he says his parents are ghost hunters. Wendy decides to show him the Dusk 2 Dawn, explaining what happened in there. Danny realizes he has to do something about it. When night falls, Danny goes into the store to ask the ghostly owners why they’re attacking teenagers. However, they take issue with his tone, and attack him. Meanwhile, Dipper and Mabel are collecting evidence on ghosts. Dipper spots Danny in the bushes, and asks how a teenager like him got out of the store. Danny says he was successfully trapping the ghosts. Dipper, excited, asks a billion questions about what Danny does as a ghost hunter. The latter happily obliges. Mabel steps out of the bushes and asks Dipper who he’s talking to. Dipper turns around - no one’s there.
Jazz notices McGucket and decides the man needs serious therapy. While McGucket is reluctant at first, he realizes he can’t keep ignoring his problems when Jazz says he ‘can’t turn a blind eye to them’. He tells her about the day his life was ruined, but when he remembers Bill, he panics. Jazz takes notes, perturbed by the story she’s told.
While the Fentons are asleep, Jack hears a noise and goes into the woods. There he encounters Bill, who offers him a deal: all knowledge about anything ghost, in exchange for an open mind. Jack agrees and is immediately possessed by Bill. Thus ‘Back’ starts his Plan B - to use the Fenton Portal to open up the Rift.
Dipper realizes something is off about Danny when he notices his eyes reflecting in the footage. Mabel suggests they go into the store to check the security film. There, they find out that Danny’s not human. Upon further research and finding out about Danny's 'misdeeds' in Amity Park, Dipper concludes that they should try to thwart Danny before he attacks someone else. However, the usual methods prove less than efficient. Dipper tricks Danny into meeting him in the woods, planning to exorcise him. Dipper tells Danny about knowing his secret, prompting Danny to laugh - partially to throw Dipper off, and partially out of the absurdity of being found out so quickly. Mabel comes out with her grappling hook in order to help Dipper. Suddenly, a ghost yeti attacks the group. Danny and Dipper work together to exorcise the monster. Dipper realizes Danny's actually a good guy, and apologizes. Mabel smiles, happy that Dipper made a friend.
Jazz spots 'Jack' in the Shack, and goes towards him. However, upon seeing his eyes, she realizes it's not her dad. Bill taunts her, prompting Jazz to use a modified version of the Fenton Peeler. She pushes Bill out, leaving a confused Jack. When he realizes what happened, he smiles, proud of his daughter's actions. Danny and Dipper hang out, and McGucket thanks Jazz for her kindness in trying to help him. After Jack and Maddie mess up the Shack in an attempt to 'clean it of further spiritual contamination', the Fentons continue on their roadtrip.

A special shout-out to DPSG1 - the idea of a crossover came from her, both in terms of her gif set on Tumblr and from her suggestion during one of our chats. Her faith in this project also helped me finish the vid, despite a broken charger, two corrupted hard drives, and a crashing computer. This was honestly one of my favorite projects to work on, and it pushed me to learn how to mask on FCPX since I don't own AfterEffects. :P

Danny Phantom and Gravity Fall? that's an interesting combination. though that begs the question, can Bill Cipher be sucked into the phenton thermos?
Ghost and demons might be similar since Butch Hartman described them simply as monsters once, so maybe. :)
Plus, ghosts can possess people in Danny Phantom; so can Bill Cipher if given the chance. Perhaps they're not so unlike to each other :)
though, Dark Danny was powerful enough to dent the fenton thermos from the inside, and Bill Cipher is clearly more powerful than Dark Danny, so maybe he can be sucked in, but he'll break out right away.
TYLER ourada Well that depends on what you think is powerful. Sure Bill could do some crazy amazing stuff, but he always needed someone to fall for his games first. Without someone to make a deal Bill is more of an annoying ghost. Reminds me of Desiree (that genie ghost) actually.
Bill get's a lot more powerful once he gets into our reality, I can see the resemblance to Desiree, but bill can choose who he makes deals with, and most, if not all of the time, bill is in control, also he can do things without making deals (sometimes doesn't even live up to the deals he makes)
If this crossover would happen, that would be the greatest thing in cartoon history. XD

This is incredible!! Danny and Dipper are best friends, Dipper and Mabel discover Danny, Danny tells Dipper about his experiences in the ghost zone, a possible love affair between Danny and Wendy, Danny's father makes a deal with Bill; the twins with Danny being a team against the paranormal. Hopefully this isn't just something that's still a fan wish, it could be like a third season (maybe not canon), seriously, this is cool man.
I swear this needs to be a real show, these are my two favorite shows ever and this would just be great form them to both come back.
The most amazing part is that without any voice you can actually understand a full story from this video, im impressed by how good it turned out!

Thank you so much to everyone who watched/comment on this vid. I never thought this video would blow up as much as it did - I greatly appreciate all your support. It means a lot. :D Figured I'd go ahead and answer people's questions here:
1) How long did this take you?
I started mid-August 2015 and finished at the end of October 2015. The longest part was actually the 'writing' of the story - I kept having to restructure the scenes during the editing stage in order to make the video flow. If I were to do it now, I can probably do the sequel in a month and a half, give or take.
2) Why make this?
I'm a fan of both shows, and wanted to see what a crossover would be like since they shared similar supernatural/comedic themes.
3) What program did you use?
Final Cut Pro X. DP's always been easy to chroma-key - not so much GF. Photoshop was used twice for scenes that I needed (like Dipper writing in the book). It's mostly the reason the 'masking' isn't that consistent - I wouldn't get AfterEffects until several months after this project.
4) What song?
The Supernatural (Glaze Remix) by Ken Ashcorp, remixed by WoodenToaster. I mostly chose it because the lyrics are directly related to Gravity Falls (being a fan-song), and I wanted the lyrics to help guide the visual storytelling.
5) Why no dialogue?
Dialogue tends to be the weakest part of my writing - I'm a much stronger visual/descriptive storyteller (or at least I have more experience in it). Unless I find a script-writer who's familiar with both shows to help me out, the next vid will probably be purely visual as well. Though offers from people wanting to vocal act has made writing dialogue tempting. We'll see.
5) Crossover fanfic recs?
The main 'plot' (Dipper vs Danny) was based off the webcomic 'Cold Front' - definitely worth a look! I'd also recommend 'Our Babysitter's a Ghost'. 'Specters and Swindlers' was also another rec I got, though I haven't read it yet.
6) Will there be another vid?
I'd definitely love to make a sequel. What's basically stopping me for now is finding the right story to do it.

This was actually really really good! Im surprised! This should be a thing, they should do a crossover with Gravity Falls and Danny Phantom kind of like they did with Fairly Odd Parents and Jimmy Neutron. The sad thing is, Danny Phantom has been over (since 2007) and it was on Nicktoons and Gravity Falls is on Disney. Sad, but this would be a great cross over some day.

I love how all the stories came together in the end. Jazz beating Bill and culminating in father/daughter bonding was too great omg. I can't deal with this. The whole scene where Danny and the twins beat the random ghost together was too much for my heart I can't even.
I AM JUST SO HAPPY TO SEE THIS WHOLE THING FINALLY DONE. I feel so randomly proud of it even though I have almost nothing to do with it hahaha!

I honestly cannot stop watching this. It tells a story and I love it! The editing is so amazing, I almost mistook it for an actual episode. The editing was clear and it held correlation (like making sure Mabel's sweater didnt change when it was supposed be the same scene) I love this so much! You my friend are amazing
Damn, awesome editing skills, I'm a very critical person when it comes to detail so I got some things I have that are needed to be changed to become a professional work, but damn, that's an awesome video right over here. Very little to complain about.

+Joyce Edwards Thank you so much for the kind words. :D In terms of doing a Fairly Oddparents crossover, I've actually considered doing that in the past, but I stopped watching FOP after Channel Chasers - mostly because I moved countries at the time, and didn't have Nick until I moved again a few years later. I have a lot of catching up to do, but I won't rule out the possibility!

I wish Alex would continue the show and have potential crossover maybe not with Danny phantom (since that show ended a long time ago) but something like I don't know something with two kids and a third wheel like dipper, Mabel, and grunkle stan. Like maybe two kids always ending up in some sort of supernatural situation like gravity falls. Or with a supernatural best friend who happens to be the grim reaper..... I'm talking about the grim adventures of billy and Mandy with gravity falls damn it that would be one hell of a crossover!
You are aware both Danny Phantom and the Grim adventures of billy and Mandy ended only with a one year difference in when they stopped having new episodes made,right? Because thats the truth Danny Phantom had its last new ep in 2007 while Billy and Mandys last new ep was in 2008
