Here’s the blotter update:
- I’m not sure who the joke is meant to be on here (or, indeed, what the joke is) but aside from the odd, very faint whiff of something mildly animalic, this is an unobtrusive, powdery, floral skin scent. It also turns out to be not especially memorable or interesting in its mid-to-final stages. So the joke is entirely lost on me, I’m afraid.

Yes! The Nothing Really Matters video is beyond fantastic (great reference) and has made an incredible and lasting impression on me since it was released
I've always found it to be re-watchable. One of her most intriguing videos, I'd say.

@@jritsoncandler I know -- how cool is that? Although I think I already had all those remixes.
It's very interesting, because everyone I've worn this around has had the same first impression as me--cookies, honey and coffee. I also detect a bit of suede/leather in the dry down, but it is mostly a sweet vanilla and some honey, with something earthy/burnt (which reads as wettened, fresh coffee grounds to me) in the background. I do not get anything very dirty, animalic, or urinous at all!
I suppose "what happens in the dark" is some baking and putting on a bit of coffee haha!

I would absolutely try this, bottle not withstanding. I truly only loved China White (which I see had been discontinued). I kind of faded out on the line but I did truly enjoy Fantomas, the scent of a cut melon in a hot car.

I own three perfumes from Nasomatto: Black Afgano, Nuda and Narcotic Venus, all of which are from years ago. I have not tried any of their newer perfumes. Black Afgano is a good one.

I just got my bottle of this. Total blind buy, it smells interesting. It smells of something burnt, initially like a burning rubber. Then when it settles down it continues which this burnt rubber smell but then it hit me what it smells of. It smells like unlit incense sticks and sort of lit incense . It has a warming sensory experience and makes sense as an intimate fragrance.
I don't get any leather, the start does have a fruity facet mixed with the rubber smell.
Actually also reminds me of incense cones.
Also some sort of dirty heavy cedar, rather than a clean light cedar smell.
