Your description echoes what Nathan said in his book about this SP. I'm not sure if you read it. He said that after the team SP went so well, he wanted kick it up a notch for the men's SP. Since he landed all the jumps in the team event, he decided to focus on making everything sharper and more crisp with more intention and energy. That's exactly what came across to me when I watched the men's SP. It got even better, and it was great to confirm my instincts were true when I read about Nathan's plan going into the men's SP. No wonder he took the world record in the SP too, with that performance. So worthy.
This has got to be my favorite routine of Nathan Chen's. It was so amazing watching him live on tv fly across the ice so sirenely and gracefully. And I really dislike that NBC took his programs off of their UA-cam. I love this dude so much.
Somewhere in heaven Charles Aznavour is crying tears of joy to see how Nathan did such a wonderful job of interpreting this song on ice. It was a work of art.
ITA! This song sounded so charming when it was heard as the background music of Nathan's skating that I became interested in the music. I found out that it is a chanson sung in French. Thanks to the google translator, I understand the meaning of "La Boheme" and its lyrics now. Nathan's skating shows the charm of the chanson to us. It is really an fascinating performance.
I like this Olympics video very much. The video shots let us have a closer look at Nathan's artistic expression. I can feel Nathan's longing emotions and passion flowing through his choreo move. Nathan's interpretation of La Boheme gave us vivid visualization of the music through his skates and body language. Nathan's artistry/musicality is just a cherry on top of his sublime and unmatched technical prowess. Masterpiece! I'm mesmerized and addicted to this SP. Forever my favorite SP!
Fluid artistry and beautiful performance combined with so much athletiscm in doing the most difficult SP jump layout ever in the history of the sport. He was perfect, so effortless. Love the way his feet just caresses the ice in this program.
How I wish he can skate to a shortened version of "Philip Glass" program which got him the only standing ovation in 2021 World Championship. That program is a masterpiece and deserves to be showcased in the Olympics.
@@e2theeyepie I think it is great that he skated Rocketman. It fits his youthful and energetic vibes very well and stands out from others who were skating mainly to classical or warfare music. He usually has one fast song and one slow song as a contrast for his two programs.
I dislike the fact that NBC removed Nathan's Olympics programs from UA-cam. Nathan's FS got more than 6.8 million views and SP got more than 4.5 million views just within a few days from the competitions. Besides, NBC got a better score board display showing technical elements and GOE. The Olympics videos aren't satisfying for figure skating fans in terms of scoring details.
We can complain about NBC, but it's still the world's best artistic men's ice skater champion we've ever witnessed... Get over who is commentating. My guess is your channel is about bitching over national broadcasting companies that have the rights to their content? If you would like to see them not band their content on UA-cam pull out a very thick check book and write an amount that is insanely impressive!! In today's world it's getting close to a half a billion and or a trillion dollars for commercial and telecast rights. Have .fun with that figure 👌
@TheWorldAccordingtoJim Bring down the spiciness Jim it's not that deep. FS is not big in America and it would benefit from more visibility - including "the world best artistic men's ice skater."
I agree that it would be nice for NBC to keep archives up forever, rather than finding ways to sell or paywall them. Especially for the most historic moments, it feels like bad form to take them down- pun intended.
Not only does he have beautiful, clean lines along with straightened knees/arms and pointed toes but I love the little details in his choreo. For example, it's so beautiful the way his hands move as he's doing the painting gestures.
Koreo yang paling indah diatara semuanya sangat menyentuh dan mengetarkan hati ia membawakannya dengan seluruh kemampuan dan hatinya perfek brilian yang paling sederhana yang paling the best menawan dan mempesona love you
Technically, he tried to the most difficult combination jump as the third jump at his SP and perfectly did that. Moreover, I’m not a expert of figure skating, but totally understand that his entrance and finishing of every spin is completely different from others. Steps are outstanding synchronizing a beautiful song of slow tempo. Just amazing. The best SP I’ve ever seen.
This song is so beautiful and sad.
The essence of masculinity, simplicity and beauty. This line, this elegance and flawless beauty in every movement... Unique. Nathan took the sport to his unparalleled level. 🤍
Fun Fact: Except for Jason Brown who had no quads in his programs, Nathan is the only men's skater at the 2022 Olympics who skated two clean programs back-to-back with +GOE on every element and no deductions. Just another reason he's the best EVER. Actually, he skated THREE clean programs with all +GOE if you count the team SP, too.
@@hnoor4989 Why do you care about Nathan so much? Don’t waste time and step on others, just focus on supporting your idol, and respecting all other athletes, your tweet is offensive and does not make sense at all. It only ruined Hanyu’s image.
