I love Todd. Not sure what impresses me more his musicianship or his humility.
This is a superb example of what the world needs and what Todd Rundgren has been reminding us of for many years, it's all about love and positivity and inclusion. That audience and students will remember this for a very long time. Todd is an artist, a true star!
Todd is God... he’s the best .. just saw him a few months ago at AC Golden Nugget.. great show
The difference compared to Optimist songwriters like Richard Page, Michael W. Smith, or Michael Penn is that their faith has been tested publicly without his doing.
? He is the best true star
It's so cool that Todd gives back to young musicians just getting started.
A great cause .... Spirit of Harmony Foundation, which includes the great Jean Lachowicz!
Todd is the man! So cool always! And forever a great song & sentiment!!
just fantastic
Love, compassion, forgiveness....hope.. these are the thread through all of Todd's music. The only values which make human life worth living. Thank you so much for a lifetime of joyful music!
well spoken! Good job Bob!
What a thrill and an honor for these kids to have the opportunity to work with this amazing human! Go Irish!
I recently discovered what an amazing musician, writer, producer, and giver this genius is. And to think I was only familiar with that 70s hit, Hello, It's Me. Wow! I am a forever fan. How wonderful that he does all of this work with young musicians, too. Thank you, Todd. Keep shining, your light is blazing and you still sound great after all these years!
Happy for you!
Todd is sooo cool. What a MAN.
Times I have failed in life; Love, work, and family. I have thought of this song to keep me going. All you need is just one victory, ever how small it is, and you're on your way.
Every time I hear this song it takes me back to high school 1974 and I get teary eyed. Thank you Todd.
Such a talented sweet generous man!
Todd Rundgren is so amazing!
fredie fender
Been a Todd fan for almost 50 years! Still an amazing performer!
what an amazing experience to get to perform with the one and only TODD!!
the amazing Todd.....genius...and always in tune with young musicians
As a geezer, and long time fan, this brought a tear to my stioic eye,
I cry when I hear Todd's beautiful voice.. and watch him actually sing. He is bloody amazing!
It's been a while since I've listened to Todd... I am actually welling up listening to this. :)
@@robinames8333 This song always moves me to tears!
Craig Madden- I SO understand..Saw Todd last summer and my tears were flowing- I always say his voice is my ♥️ beat..
Music is pretty much all I have left to hang onto. Along with my dog and my beach.
me too!
Just astounding, so happy to hear the audience familiar with the tunes.
A large portion of the audience was comprised of Todd fans who traveled to ND for his Spirit of Harmony Foundation 'Fan Weekend', where they could take part in a service project at the South Bend Center for the Homeless (Todd handed out ukuleles to children there, beginning a music program at the Center); sit in along with students at his final class at ND, and be here in the audience for this concert. It was an amazing experience --and wonderful to see Todd interacting with students!
oh my god I still hear UTOPIA in my heart!!!!
Always the best closing song of an album of all time. "A Wizard, A True Star" is the most crazy, discombobulated, over-the-top, genius masterpiece album.
Wow how great was that those kids will have that forever as a highlight in their life ✌😎
Just felt like browsing the comments. Got to the bottom and not a single negative remark about Todd. Love it. This is one of my all time favorite songs and he's so cool to get involved in projects like these.
love it- but whatever TODD touches is great!
Yes. You are so right!
Still amazing! Inspires me!
Greta T & climate strike kids need a theme song & this one brings tears to my eyes - I am 62 but I remember her passion. Ask me today about Dallas/JFK truth, and how the USA went into militaristic reverse ever since, I sound just like Greta. A tad peevish, and unlike her, I can't stick to my script.
Anyway you bring your just cause, and here stands Todd's multi-purpose lyric. Fantastic
"... okay it's a lllittle spritely... hold the tempo back just a little bit" lol Todd ♥
That line makes me think of "Tumbling Dice" as sung by The Rolling Stones, as opposed to the spritely version (yet a fine version) of "Tumbling Dice" as sung by Linda Ronstadt. I get a different feel from each rendition.
Just One Victory, that's what the Croatian soccer team needs.
One of the greatest anthem songs ever written.
This song never fails to give me chills
Chills here too ..needed especially during this troubling times- So uplifting 👌🙏✝️
giving it back, just amazing!
Todd always giving back
What a man! What a song!
Tears in my eyes listening to a god given talent!
What a treasure Todd is. So talented and intuitive, just incredible.
These students just got introduced to what cool is and was!
It's so awesome watching him perform in front of a live audience.
Toddy hasn't aged a day, not in his spirit or his voice. Magic.
? Since 1973 he has always amazed me
Maybe one of these students could be the one who brings back meaningful Music...
Or two, or three...
I always feel uplifted by this song. This is written the week after the Biden inauguration - I have hope again.
Todd is unbelievable. .... and love this song ... and the base drum and share snap motivation ... and I love this amazing performance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the amazing straw blond .
2016年当時、トッド68歳!!。信じられない。
Wow! Love Toddy!
Great energy and fun to watch. Of the myriads of excellent live versions of this uplifting anthem, for me this one is definitely in the top five. Not least due to the joyful expression of the students and the audience participation.
BTW, I had to seek out this clip to hear the song again because of an historic event that had never happened before in the history of the United States: an ex-president was criminally indicted.
Notre Dame, my alma mater, class of 1982, makes me proud
THANK YOU TODD...!
That sax is on point.
He is am amazing talent!! Loved his music since the 70's
Rock and Roll Hof finally
So beautiful, to inspire young musicians!
I love you Todd🤠
Right on Todd !!!
outstanding show by a true genius....and giving back to the youth,,,,priceless!
Lucky kids!
F N Great!!!
That is just Fudging COOL! Right on!
Speechless❤️
Very nice!
That was beautiful.
the artists shows more than most can take..... we push the limit.... most are to reserved....... we think they should see the way we see... how the passion should flow.........their world is not the passion you have lived...
I remembered to vote.
Todd is a genius!
Love the message!
This man is brilliant
awesome-ness
Great Song!
OK two real cool keyboard parts being used here, so nice, and the piano has a (new?) chord substitution that Todd must dig, unless he came up with it of course
I'm sure with his blessings.
Remarkable
❤️❤️❤️
The man
So sooool!
this song kills me
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
HOF on the way!!!
Hold that line
Baby hold that line….
I hope the Water Protectors at the DAPL can sing this once the pipeline is ceased. Hey, I'm at WMU in Kalamazoo, we'd love you here doing this for our students.
As a Bronco faculty, I echo your sentiment!
And this musical genius is not in the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.
Finally, he is.
Utopia is on tour 2018.
Saw it.. amazing
Wish I could sing with you and your group without wax dale mann
Todds been working out.
Nice version. Weird without his guitar solo though.
you were going to play in SF this weekend. We will be together again and with Jesse, Kasim and my beach neighbor Prarie
GOTTA' LOVE the MUSIC! 'Course "motovating" the children just might help!

Isn’t this how people should behave?
Who's the knob in the shorts? Finger snaps?
Time to pull this one out again. It didn't work in16'. It had better work this year.
This man has never had a John Lennon so I will dare compare him to McCartney solo, the way i compare him to feted greats B Manilow, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Carole King, Jessie Winchester Hoyt Axton, Laura Nyro, Harry Nilsson, Jimmy Webb - everyone this side of Bacharach - and let's add Stevie & Smokey.
Without saying any more, yup, Todd's now underrated, because his total output is now greater than the above. Oh & his skillful ryrics are unlike any others - God Said is a three-melody satiric masterpiece where you'd think John Barry orchestrated & got lyrics from Tom Lehrer.
You can't prove I exist - so get over yourselves.
Todd, quoting God..
I remember you telling me that when I'd be happy to hear jov"after tripping all over AWATS dave
todd hof
Man, these people murdered Just One Victory! The best Todd song! He TOLD them it was "too sprightly" and they started at a reasonable speed, then sped it up until Todd could hardly sing the lyrics. Grade: Fail!
Listen to the record, fools! Oh, that's right NONE of them own a record player. Probably heard it on their iPhones for the first time yesterday.
Why so negative. It did get sped up during the performance, but that happens a lot when you get excited and the crowd gets involved. Rehearsals and recordings are one thing, a live performance is quite another. Have fun, have joy, and "Don't forget to vote!"
Thanks for the encouragement, Dunmore. Your criticism is duly noted. Now begone...you can't call yourself a true Tod fan, if you carry around a cloud of doom around you. Anger isn't the tool Todd speaks of, while we're searching for that one victory. Check your ego for a minute, bro...
@@garyspence2128-- check your tempo, brosef.
HOF! way too long...long overdue....Rock? Toopac? Jeez Todd not showing up at inductiom,,,,he is right....damn
Btw, is it a trump/net neutrality thing provoking ads in the middle of a decent song? Am I going to have to pay my way out of that? If it went to the artist, great..but, sheeeiiit. 🙄
Todo es un genio, me gusta mucho su música, felicidades todd desde CDMX.
