    ¡Hola Señor Hey! ¿Qué Hace tiempo en Espania? Mi español es no muy bien. Gracias!
    My Spanish is literally so bad I can barely put sentences together but I enjoy the language.

    I really like the presentation. Spanish is (was?) my native language, but now English is by far my stronger language. In Peru, we say 'chau' a lot. Also, we say 'encantado', at least in polite society, maybe not in the streets among the hoi polloi.
    We also call the "V' and "W", ve and ve doble, respectively. I think "doble ve" is also used. The Spanish 'th' for 's' sounds horrible to my Peruvian ears. It also sounds...well...let's say, effeminate. Basically, it's an intentional lisp.
    You're doing good work, here, and it's appreciated. I've recommended your channel to a friend. Can you please learn Japanese in a couple of weeks and produce a similar series? Thanks in advance.

    I am curious about question # 2. Since she is introducing her boyfriend to her mother, shouldn't the answer be encantado? I'm assuming that the mother is responding since she was the one being introduced to the boyfriend.

    Not true what you say: encantado mas comun en Espana y no comun en Latinoamerica. Habria que saber en que nivel te mueves. Es muy comun decir encantado y encantada. There is not such a thing as two Spanish speaking worlds: Latinoamerica y Espana... no es asi... disculpa la falta de acentos y la compu lenta

      +Mati Martin OK, I should have specified Mexico and Central America. I've never been south of Honduras (YET!). So, encantado could very well be common in South America. I haven't been there. Thanks for the input.

    Hola Senor Hey. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying your instruction. Your way of teaching is very friendly to someone who is trying to learn a new language. My wifes family is from Peru and I feel it would be nice if I could speak to them in there native tongue. I have grown to love their culture as they are a warm and friendly people. I feel leaning Spanish will be of such value. I desire to someday visit Peru and visit Lima and Machu Pichu and feel comfortable having a conversation with them in Spanish. I thank you for taking your time to impart your knowledge freely with others. It is very nice of you. I have noticed that you have shared six videos and I am curious if you will in the near future be teaching any new material. I hope all is well and hope to learn more from you. Thanks again.

    I am sooo happy you're doing this. I searched and searched for a class, app, or program to help me learn Spanish. But nothing does what your course does. It helps me to learn how to "speak", "write", and listen to "respond" so that I can (hopefully) become fluent. I'm doing this because I want to be able to speak to Spanish speaking clients and I know that if I can do that by myself I'll feel confident. Besides...I applied to a job that requires fluency in spanish. I'm very determined to learn! I just wanted to thank you so much! :)

    Question about Encantado/Encantada... Is it my gender or the gender of the person I'm meeting that determines the use of the masculine or feminine version of the word? In your additional materials, in #2 it seems that I am a mother meeting my daughter's boyfriend. I am a female meeting a male. So shouldn't I use the feminine version? Thanks for the great lessons!!! I'm really enjoying them so far :D

    • @diego032912
      @diego032912 9 років тому

      yep it depends on the gender here is an example because I'm male "Yo estoy encantado con esa mujer" and here is if you're female "Yo estoy encantada con ese hombre" also see how I changed the words "esa" and "ese" which esa is feminine for "that" and "ese" is masculine for "that"

      Senor Hey answered this question above, and Agent is correct. You're saying "encantada" because you're saying that you, a woman, feels this emotion. You're not describing the man you are meeting. You're describing yourself (a woman), so encantada.

    This is awesome - Question so does a male say Encantada to a female and the female would sat Encantado to the male? Thanks

    • @senorheyspanish
      @senorheyspanish  8 років тому +2

      +Michael Gammage Thanks. And the adjective needs to agree with the noun that it modifies. If the man says, I am pleased to meet you, then who is the one who feels pleased.? The man. So, it needs to agree with man. A man would say, "Encantado" and a woman would say, "Encantada". It doesn't matter who they are talking to.

    Senor Hey I have a question. I may have missed it in the lesson, but I thought if someone asked How you are you could reply bien ?y usted?, but the answer to 5 is bien "?Y tu? what the difference because I have that y usted means and you is y tu the informal version?

    Wonderful site and wonderful lessons. It is making things so much more doable for me. I am in level 2 of Rosetta Stone and am beginning to get lost.
    I have a question about using se or me in the introductions. Sometimes it is me llama Carlos, and other times it is se llama Florencia Martin Romano. I am sure that it will become more clear to me in time. Oddly, I am good with the hard issues but very confused on the smallish things.
    Thank you for this site. I agree completely with your review of RS.

    Thank you for offering this course! I love how you teach and explain the words and the difference in addressing a male or female and the use of formal and informal language. You are by far the best teacher for adult learning of a new second language. I truly appreciate your time, effort and your word book sheets! I have just completed my first lesson and I am excited to start the next one. Thank you again.

Instead I will continue to review the lesson I reviewed, so it has the opportunity to sink in. Thanks again taking the time out to teach us Spanish at no cost!
