Hey man, thanks very for taking the time to do this for everyone, it really helped me in Lurgan Ireland as it is Easter weekend and my rope broke and there is no one opened to fix it. I managed to get it working again. Thank you so much 🙏

Thanks for watching our videos. Yes in our early video, it took a bit longer than it should be presented. Over the time, we learn and improve the time and clear presentation for everyone to watch and learn. Thanks for subscribing. VARIETECH
I ❤ Canada! Thank you and I really appreciate your comment. I can't say this would be the best method to rewind a coil spring as everyone has their own preferences. But one thing I would really would like to make things happen when I will finalised my design and prototype of a hand-held coil spring rewinder, anyone should be able to safely rewind a starter coil spring easily, and at least my 5 year old son could safely rewind a coil spring with the product. Thanks for watching our video and I'm glad that this video really make sense. VARIETECH
Thanks AJ Restorations for subscribing and watching our videos. It's an honour for us. Restoration of old small engine is one of my passion. Doing Restoration will not get your money and time back or for profit. It's a very time consuming and it takes hours and even week to complete the restoration including video editing and publish for others to view in just 30min but it's very rewarding. I have high regards to those UA-camrs doing Restorations. Let us know what video would you like us to do to benefit your Restoration contents. VARIETECH

Pull starter spring is a more challenging part to provide a better solution. Its not 100% easy but it's a one step to produce general purpose tool to rewind any pull starter recoil spring. Thanks for watching our videos and to subscribe to our channel is showing your support for us to produce more videos tutorials and quick tips. Keep watching for this future project. Thanks. VARIETECH
Take a Bath Productions shows an easier, quicker method to wind the rewind spring in any 2- or 4-stroke pull start. A flat wood board, wood screw, chuck drill, ziptie. For an experienced person, 2 minute job, done. A novice might get it wrong a few times before success. The big issue is Stihl doesn't provide a pre-braced and tensioned ready-for-install spring. It flies everywhere out of the package like a slinky from hell. Their low- to mid-end equipment is manufactured obsolescence throwaway junk to owners of no mechanical DIY aptitude and experience and that need to be pampered and stored in clean and dry environment.
Yes, I saw that video and when he rewind the spring on the board with a drill and at 2:35 the spring slipped and wrapped into the drill chuck and said, "What the h.." Funny! That's why I use a different approach where this method can a handheld product one day which every single engine mechanic would like to have one. Keep in touch to make this thing happen. Just always think outside the box and the possibility beyond what you saw. Thanks for watching our videos. Cheers, VARIETECH
@@Varietech-AU Yeah, the drill/screw/board method is a genuine and old DIY prone to potential failure. Even in the hands of experienced individuals the spring can go flying. The issue is not that you will conceive of a great, completely functional system (you appear to be an engineer), it's that manufacturers like Stihl operate in the 'engineered obsolescence' business model that their products will fail or make it exceedingly difficult for casual owners to fix their own equipment without a highly learned and ingenious problem solving instructor such as yourself. I can't wait for this new design of yours.
@@jasonbell5152 I always respect other method and approach especially the old school because we all learned from them and able to come up with simple or a complex innovation based on their experience and public constructive comments and opinions. Sometimes we can figure out the concept and operation of your innovations by head how its individual component works but you will find your limitations when making the prototype especially on 3D modelling and 3D printing to make the parts. I have once successfully made an innovation for Victa LM/G4 needle which is now widely known as viton tip metal needle. Second is the Victa float/needle lever which will only works on viton tip metal needle which currently on final manufacturing tooling and production. Since I'm not financially capable, the manufacturer has all the rights and patents of the products. Cheers, VARIETECH

I had to bend the spring end a little to get mine to catch. Make sure the loop is touching the plastic shaft housing or it will free spin.
Nice one!
