You are absolutely correct about the variety of experiences (restaurants, shopping, bars/lounges, entertainment) available at Venetian/Palazzo. Having a Walgreens right there is the cherry on top of an already fabulous sundae.
I would pick Palazzo over Wynn maybe 7 out of 10 times, based on pricing and the variety of experiences available. I’m more of a explorer starting early in the day, with a jaunt back to the room in the afternoon for a power nap to recharge for a full evening of fun. Plus, I appreciate Palazzo having more affordable food options on-site.
That said, both hotel resorts are fabulous, and well worth a stay.
When it comes to casual and mid-range dining, I think Palazzo is by far the best property on the strip. You could stay there for a month and not hit every restaurant.
Palazzo/Venetian over Encore/Wynn 70% of the time... Interesting. I'm probably 50/50.
Safety is key as some who frequents the strip as a business woman living part time here. I feel very safe there. That and all of the other amenities? Hands down blows all other hotels off the strip ;) best, e.

I took your advice and went to Palazzo last year. I’m going back to Vegas in a month. I wanted to try a different hotel simple because there’s so many awesome hotels in Vegas. The problem is I can’t bring myself to do it. Palazzo gave me everything I could want in a hotel. I can’t wait to go back. Thanks for all the helpful videos Coolist.

Coolist, given your vast travel experience, it means a lot when you give such a favorable review. I stayed at the Palazzo, and from the moment I got out of the cab and was well taken care of by the friendly Bell Captain, until I left, it was the best customer service and hotel experience I have ever had in Vegas. Everything was perfect. No problems at all. That’s rare. I have stayed all over the strip, and now I’m spoiled , and it will be so hard to stay at lesser properties. It’s not cheap, but not crazy expensive, and what you get for the money is a great value. The entry-level rooms there are huge and spectacular.

I don't think I've ever had a mediocre stay at Venetian/Palazzo, let alone a bad one. It's a guaranteed stellar trip.
Love Venetian and Palazzo and their comps are really good. Wynn and Encore are good at the restaurant/casino/pool/level, but the rooms at Wynn are questionable for 5 star. Encore has the better rooms from my experience, but you're always gonna have more fun with more options at Venetian or Palazzo. As a test drop the same amount of coin and watch as Venetian and Palazzo offer you way more than Wynn or Encore ever will.

Just recently found your channel and am marathoning through lots of your old content - it's awesome! Great to see a different angle on travel reviews that isn't redundant (most importantly) is honest.
Definitely agree that V/P has the volume of restaurants that no one on the Strip can compete with. The downside I've found with them over the years is their portfolio is a bit redundant and not all of that volume meets a high quality standard. It's definitely cool that they have 20 pizza places, but do I want 20 meh pizza places or 2 awesome pizza places? I ate at Sushisamba once years ago and my thoughts on it are the same as yours all these years later - meh food. Same with your thoughts on Delmonico. I ate there in 2013 and it seems the same as now - solid food, but nothing overly spectacular.
All of the V/P food I've had is in the very good category, but none of it is in the memorable category. Admittedly, I've not eaten everywhere there, X Pot looks great. Their recent cocktail bar additions are also excellent and a step above most offerings on the Strip. But I wish they steered a bit more towards the quality and away from the quantity.
I absolutely hands down agree with you on the restaurant selection at Venetian/Palazzo. It's stellar.

I’m torn on Vegas. When I’m there I get super run-down, but when I’m away I miss it. Perhaps I’ll periodically do Vegas content - everyone seems to like it. BUT if you like what I do in Vegas, then just wait to see what I’ll show you globally.

I love The Palazzo, safety is top notch, they even have trained German shepherds as “employees “ :) Free valet, best food, rooms, cleanliness , overall experience is everything! Security checks everyone going to elevators, must have a room card. Beautiful place, won several hand pays on low bets, just amazing. Totally off the radar as the cosmo is hyped, Bellagio etc, but IT IS The Palazzo hands down number 1! Beds? Amazing also. Try it, you will love the place. Kind Regards all e.
Oh and you can walk connected to a bridge ti The Wynn. Of course Venetian is connected that they own, they have a Walgreens connected, stores, restaurants , the pools? Off the charts gorgeous. You just need to get to Palazzo and your set for everything. :) e.

Mikey Chen on utube just did 2 videos comparing Wynn dining to Palazzo/Venetian and Palazzo won in his review. I live here halfod the year and I love both places. But, Palazzo has the edge to be honest in terms of overall experience if you have to stay, eat, sleep there. Just my 2 cents.

Hey Michelle. It’s a hard one to answer because they are both so similar and different. They both are ultra-luxurious (two best properties on the strip), and right next to each other, so no matter what you choose, you’ll make an awesome choice and be able to visit the other property.
Pool - Wynn/Encore
Room - Wynn/Encore
Dining - Venetian / Palazzo
Bars/Lounges/Fun - Venetian/Palazzo
Theme - Venetian / Palazzo
Regular Shopping - Venetian / Palazzo
High-end Shopping - Wynn / Encore
Energy - Venetian/Palazzo
Classiest - Wynn/Encore
^^^ Choose based on which categories are most important to you.
If Venetian/Palazzo was meaningfully cheaper, I’d choose it without hesitation.
It's impressive that you can go on these long trips and stay fit. That requires A LOT of discipline! Fasting all day and eating once is a good strategy, but with all the temptations im sure that's really hard!
Where do you get the sick coats?
Having had so many amazing balls meals there, "Cut" was far and away the most ridiculously fantastical meal/experience we've ever had in the LV. $$$$. But well worth it if you can swing it. Agree with all things Venetian and Palazzo here. Spot on. Although, I will not play poker there (Venetian) ever again...long, boring story. ;)
We’re going to Vegas in September. Are all the rooms in Palazzo suites with the separate seating area? Would you recommend the Palazzo or the Venetian for a special birthday for my wife as we’ll also be taking in Rod Stewart at Caesars?
Yes the standard rooms are all suites. Palazzo a bit bigger then Venetian. Decor at the palazzo is more modern. The palazzo has a sectional couch while the Venetian has a love seat and two arm chairs. All fold out Into sleeper sofas. The vibe at the palazzo is more a low key quiet elegance. The Venetian is where the action is, the casino is also bigger. Enjoy your trip and happy Birthday to your wife.
I just got back from four nights at the Palazzo, and it was a fantastic experience. I'd booked a room at the Venetian but upgraded at check-in to a room in the Palazzo with access to the Prestige Club Lounge. That gave us free breakfast every day, an open bar happy hour each evening, and also a quiet place to go when we didn't want to sit in the room. The room at the Palazzo was extremely comfortable and, as jordan? said, nice low-key elegance. This video is absolutely correct about the restaurants. There are many of them, and many of them are great. Bouchon in the Venetian tower is a must for brunch or dinner.
@@todd3167 so glad you were able to experience the palazzo. Prestige is worth the money imo. We got it last March and it was great! The staff are the best. I’m going solo in March and wanted to do prestige again. I asked my host and it’s the same price for 1 or 2 guests. Kinda bummed about that, so I have to think about it! I am a smoker so I asked about smoking rooms. They only have one floor dedicated to smokers and that in the Venezia room tower. I’ve always wonder about that tower. Thought it was “exclusive” then I read about it more and people says it’s so far from everything. We’ll see! Glad you enjoyed your trip!
How are table minimums on the strip? Staying at Paris in a few weeks and hoping table games arnt over 25$
Man I don't pay attention like I used to. $10 blackjack tables shouldn't be an issue. $25's all day and night long.

I’ve never been to Rao’s. Usually for Italian at Caesar’s, I venture to Il Molino. I’ll put Rao on my list!

I used to like Wynn/Encore until my trip last week. We had a reservation at Mizumi and apparently Birkenstocks don't meet their dress code even though I was nicely dressed otherwise. The hostess made a very creative suggestion to seat my family while I go back to Aria to change my shoes. What a pompous pretentious dingbat! I don't think I can look at Wynn property with the same positive light again.
That's such a tough predicament. Mizumi is unreal too... But Going back and forth to aria again would've taken at least another hour.
Where did you ultimately decide to eat?

If you run out of meal choices at Trump, try Sparrow and Wolf. We were there last week for their first night of summer menu. It's "life-changing" as you would say.
During my last trip in May, my son and I reserved a table at Bochons at the Venetian, where “business casual” was recommended. My son, notoriously cool, doesn’t wear jackets, and I was sure I would have to buy him one. However, when I called to inquire about it saying that my son was wearing blue jeans and a shirt, they said it was fine. We had a wonderful meal.

And you need eliminate SW steakhouse due to bad service and food - why food too! Salty! Food and why service eat less than a third of a $75 steak and no one ask is there a problem with your dinner…?
Would you recommend the venetian or the palazzo for a first timer? Don't plan on doing much gambling, just exploring/good food/shows.
