Very informative video! The V sets are imo the most comfortable passenger trains in the fleet, I'll be sad to see the soft and plump leather swing seats replaced with the scratchy carpet static seats that seem to be in all the new trains. But they are definitely in need of an upgrade. Just a shame there's so much cost-cutting in both comfort for the passengers and safety for the drivers.
D Sets can also run as 8 Car Sets. Besides. The V Sets were Expected to be Withdrawn by 2013 when H Sets Entered Service, V Sets are meant to be Withdrawn before NSW Trainlink get the Logo over City Rail.
Yes, they can run as 8 car sets but I’ve heard whispers that there is a software issue that causes mayhem when 2x 4 cars are attached. Unclear if the issue will be rectified or if the trains will only run as 4, 6 or 10 car sets.
The H sets will Replace K Sets, Well It will Replace Tangaras on the T1, And T9 while Tangaras are now on Sector 2 to Replace K Sets. Also, Since Tangaras Run the South Coast Line from Kiama or port Kembla to Thirroul or Waterfall. The D Sets will Replace Tangaras on the South Coast Line. Tangaras will still Run the T4.
