Bro Flash realizing that it’s actually worth it to trade his first units for the first two goons against 1 gate is such a Flash moment. Seems counterintuitive on paper, but look how it allowed him to stay on P’s side of the map because he knows P has to keep his only 2 goons left in his natural’s wall to block vulture run backs… Flash got free real estate on the map for a good 30ish seconds and all the info in the world because of that move. EDIT : lol I just got to the end of the video where you address it lol i feel silly now but the point stands : once you notice this stuff in Flash games is when you realize how on a level of his own Flash is.
I just wrote a comment saying the same thing. In this very specific situation trading that one tank for 2 goons was beneficial. Also, in part, because that vulture that scouted the 3rd base lived and could drop 3 mines.
did you notice that P send the probe to make a 3rd way early? this way it couldnt get intercepted by vultures before dropping down the nexus although flash was having vultures out on the map. high level sc is great by the way
This game is so comfortable, Flash is not punishing some retard mistake or sucker punch kills the enemy, he simply plays out the game as it should be and I dunno how to put it but stays on beat, feels so good like a dancer matching perfectly to the music.
What Flash did at the beginning is like a piece (or pawn) sacrifice in Chess: you lose material in order to get a better position, and if you're really good, then you can manage to use that better position to win the game.
It's like giving up a bishop in a pawn trade. Seems really bad, but now there are no pawns on the queens side 🤔 to recognize that and commit instantly is wild :d
@@kylebirky298 Flash isn't top dog anymore. Jaedong, Flash, and Stork were the champs of my youth, but these days, there's a lot of new pros out there. Boxer, Bisu, and Firebathero were also insanely good too.
I love video titles where you can clearly see the point at which the author came up with a title, corrected themselves and realized it's ruined now, but eventually went 'fuck it, just upload it'
That early game exchange is so interesting. It’s like trading your bishop for a knight in an early opening to mess up their pawn structure, and then your continued pressure never lets them unkink the snarl
That before zealot legs tank push. It was not an overextension. Flash just put his vultures in bad positions and didnt micro them properly. He shouldve won there. (please forgive me for criticizing) He then went "oh i micro'd my vultures bad, lets get on top of that"
Flash also was very very slow with his second building float for the push, double building float with him leapfrogging as I've seen before smashes most reaver micro except the best players, he didn't do that here
So, this is a very niche situation. But that trade at the start, the marines and 1 tank for 2 goons. That was good in this specific situation. The first vulture lived. The fast mines can get map control. The marines are basically worthless at this point. So trading 1 tank for 2 goons to get even more map control was worth. Dont do this at home. But Flash? Yeah he can do that.
At the beginning of the match Flash delayed landing the barracks so that the Toss would see that it was floating and that he only had one marine, then the instant the probe was out of vision, he landed it and started marine production again. Was that to try to lure the Toss into being more greedy?
Artosis talking about Flash "forcing" a lack of tech or 4th base from his opponent at 20:28. Are we watching the same game? Because I see Protoss with over 900 minerals banked, he could easily have done these things (probably not both, but at least one). Just imperfect macro from Protoss.
This is the most disrespectful Flash vs game I have ever seen in my life. From the first scout, the whole theme was "get outta my game noob". Change my mind.
@@ObeliskM You aren't wrong. But cmon. At least Snow gets some respect. This was straight bullying. This was "stop hitting yourself! Why are you still hitting yourself?" vibes.
@@dampiere Yes but this Toss did hold his own at certain points, and didn't get steamrolled in the fight for high ground like a lot of others would have.
I think 6 fact, armory and +1 is too much stuff to hit consistently before legs. But maybe it's an ok way to get into the lategame without going all in and without being totally passive doing upgrade Terran
i really hate how no brain flash killed the 4th and the protoss legit didnt believe his 4th was a juicy target and left only 1 zel and 1 rever for defense... like what world do we live in that this 4th does not need more defense than that? god i hate it that flash killed it and i hate that the toss was so bad at defending it after he BRILLIANTLY defeded it with that shuttle.... he saw the mass vulture go down couldve easily ramp blocked 3 pylon -_-
Blizzard probably rakes in literally dozenss of dollars a month by making pros buy a new account every time they want a new ID. Solid business decision!
why don't arty cast old legendary games and commentate how times have changed and why we don't see those builds and strategies anymore. that would be very educational. as an occasional vod
Hey I know Flash gets clicks and stuff, but why not mix in some games from the SSL players so we get get to know them or get an update on what shape they're in before the next round of the SSL? Doesn't have to be an either/or, you could just upload both Flash games AND other games. Are you restricted to 1 game a day? Is that a UA-cam algorithm thing? Sometimes I get the feeling you just want to "be a youtuber" and get that viewer/sub count rolling (read: $). If I'm wrong, good, very good. I still get that impression sometimes though. Still love the content, thanks to you and Tasteless for doing great casts.
Whatever you're paying your titles guy, it's enough.
100% 😅
Lmao
Legit the funniest thing I’ve read in days
Funny and true
LOL
Bring a raincoat! But not really, because there's chills.
Need to dress in layers for this game.
That title gave me warms.
Lukewarms?

He plays perfectly. I wonder how he even manages to lose sometimes.
Great comment

Flash better bring a SNOWBLOWER because I've got CHILLS
15:40 that's insane micro from Flash
It's like watching Magnus play chess. The moves seem so simple and sensible when he makes them.
I always enjoy the post game analysis. Thanks for making the game accessible to people like me.
This game is so comfortable, Flash is not punishing some retard mistake or sucker punch kills the enemy, he simply plays out the game as it should be and I dunno how to put it but stays on beat, feels so good like a dancer matching perfectly to the music.
That split was absolutely insane.
Thanks for all the great casts!

Thanks! Just a small thing: can you hide the replay progress section? Helps with spoilers during the game. I think you forgot this time
You know, I haven't even noticed until I finished watching and saw this comment.
But you're right.
Flash: loses a tank to a dragoon 🤤
Artosis: This is actually worth it because it reduces the dragoon count 🧠

I thought it would be a match against Rain, that title would have been just right
Leaning on upgrading behind macro and vulture raids, he's in such good form.
Arty you forgot to hide the seeker thing at the right! 😁
That's some strong title lmao
Artois needs to be a little more inventive
Flash did have a second Goliath in this first major push but it wandered too forward and net targetted it down at 09:53
Flash had 2 goliaths but one died at 9:56 at the bottom of the screen.
I think the 2 gol number makes 1 expendable? He pushes with it pretty cavalier fishing for shuttle hits? Idk
Better bring an umbrella else the rain will give you CHILLS 🥶🥶🥶
11:30 you know that zealots beat every terran unit 1v1, but did you know that 16 zealots will beat the whole sieged and microed terran army?
I think something terrans should start incorporating is placing a single vulture in the corner base to snipe to first probe and delay the nexus
Knowledge, is power. Arty

Arty, you're an S-Tier/ASL perennial final 4 finisher caster. I think your stream would be just as successful w/out the trash. IMO, but you do you.
Flash spawns into each match with a reflective umbrella perk
Dan, you ve got to hide the replay display controls! 😢
Flash casts doing it again!
This is what happens when you try to play like Snow with 220apm
the toss played pretty well until late game too considering it might be just random

Looks like he's experimenting with super late siege mode again
Artosis, please consider using your influence to get some SC2 pros into BEYOND ALL REASON.
Had to grab a sweatshirt for this one... feels a bit chilly in here

Tbf everyone is a noob compared to Flash. He even crashed Snow 5-0.
Lmao yes. The lazy micro was clearly saying “you don’t deserve my full attention.” If you’ve played SC you understand.

that way there is more suspense on what's to come :D

Was the replay progress bar on the right always there?
Is having the replay timer visible a new addition or just an accident?
Having the replay bar is no good
How about been watching the other Tourneys too? You dont mention them
Artosis, you’re an absolute pro at casting - but what the hell are your youtube titles 😂
were you drinking when you made this video title, RT?
The replay progress shows. -1 caster point.

This doesn't seem to be a pro level protoss. Just by his APM and micro mistakes. Its no suprprise Flash took him down easily
I report a too little of v zerg games. Strike 1.
I bet I could beat Flash
TvP is the most unbalanced matchup. Terran only needs to siege up and set spider mines.
Flash is great, but man... this guy seems to be throating maybe a *bit* much.
Stop zooming out so much! Sone of us watch this on our phones!! Main reason why I don't view your videos
Im watching on my phone too and have no issues
