these performed really well in a week. which means that I hope by the time the blue mountains line received their sets, this will mark the first time that the Nifs will be working full time in the blue mountain's.
Phil, can you please give me the times they depart at Strathfield station for Newcastle Interchange, eg. 07:45, 13:00 on Saturdays and/or Sundays/public holidays timetable? Much appreciated . Thanks very much. 😊
Thanks, Phil for another great video especially of this long-awaited new train. I wonder how long g before our dear old V-sets will disappear? I understand toilets re on every second carriage?
The Emu turned into a Turkey today. The 8.45 from Fassifern to Strathfield (not Central due to track work) was 2 1/2 hours late. Not its fault (failed coal train at Kotara). Revised stopping plan. It thought Warnervale was Wyong. Doors failed. We all detrained in the heat. The train left in disgrace and we waited for the next train. The verdict…. The seats were OK. It was a bit quieter than a V Set but luggage in quiet carriages is as bad as any suburban train. No, I didn’t have a bicycle. The USB is old technology and no one was using the fold down tables.
Mariyung D sets D53 and D54 hold the honours of running the very first revenue Mariyung D set service on run N814 from Newcastle Interchange to Central
Anyone know what times during the day do the Mariyungs usually run through Hornsby? Is there a way to find out on the timetables? I’ve been hoping to catch one, but never been able to.
Hey phill, do you know around what month the k sets will begin to retire? Will it not be for awhile as I’m guessing the renovations on the Oscar’s will take awhile?
The xpt replacements are a good couple years away still. They still have to be tested and certified which is going to take a long time, hopefully less than the d sets though haha
The seats are a bit narrow, especially if u get one against a wall Also u were right about tbe tray tables being sturdy, didn't think they would feel as rigid as they do.. Do u know what the introduction roadmap looks like, or where I can find it for myself?
Afaik it’s going to be at least half a year, they’re getting them running on the NCC line first and eventually start expanding the the other two, I believe they’re doing BMT before SCO but I could be wrong
The d set comes both as a 4 car and as a 6 car set, the only ones in operation right now are 4 car sets. Once 6 car trains start coming into service we will see 10 car trains
The interesting thing is that i place one at the beginning and the end and one near the middle. The one in the middle doesn’t always play either so they must be putting extra
Nice to sit behind you Phil.
That’s a bit alarming 😂
There was a free seat behind him, lucky no one took that spot.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. The new D sets look awesome.
Thank you! :)
Was at Central on Wednesday waiting for the XPT to Brisbane and saw a 10-car Mariyung sitting at platform 6. Kind of wish I'd thought to take a photo!
Thanks for another ride-along. I hope to give them a go soon. Cheers
No worries mate!
I hope you are well :)

Hopefully I will see you one day on the network.
Sydney please make more videos at central
I filmed at Wentworth Falls today
The b set near platform 17 city circle
Damn it, they’re rolling out so fast, I don’t think I’m gonna get a chance to ride a v set on the blue mountains line for the last time 😢
You’ll get a chance.
I don’t know when the 3rd D Set roster will enter service
@sydneytrainsvlogs what about me
The BMT line isn’t going to be getting D sets for a while, so don’t worry you should be able to get a ride on a v set again
@@SydneywithSam are you talking to me or him
👍

Hi do you know when they will start to be used on the weekends? When I check only Oscar sets are used.
Phil, can you please give me the times they depart at Strathfield station for Newcastle Interchange, eg. 07:45, 13:00 on Saturdays and/or Sundays/public holidays timetable? Much appreciated . Thanks very much. 😊

looking forward to catch one. I thought they are 10 cars set. So they can also break into 2x 4 cars sets too from what you said.
The d sets come as both 6 and 4 car sets to make either an 8 or 10 car train, the only ones in service right now are 4 car sets
were you doing asmr?

Hi Phil happy Thursday afternoon to you and these are incredible trains
How does everyone know when different train sets are departing from [x] stations?
Nice video.
Ey Phil, when will the D sets come live on the mountains line?
Afaik it’s going to be at least half a year, they’re getting them running on the NCC line first and eventually start expanding the the other two, I believe they’re doing BMT before SCO but I could be wrong

FIVE UA-cam ads before I even get to the first minute of your video! UA-cam is getting out of control.
The interesting thing is that i place one at the beginning and the end and one near the middle.

@@sydneytrainsvlogs All five were 6 second ads. Three before your video started, and two more around the 50 second point.
