    That's a nice shotgun. I recently bought an old Wingmaster that was used at a vocational school in Idaho as a police academy gun. It has the old electro pencil engravings on it and everything. That's why I bought it. I love history stuff. Anywho, that's just gonna be a shop gun. I want a gun like what you have there. I had my heart set on a 590 as well, but it seems like Mossberg just don't want your money anymore because they are either out of stock everywhere or if you can find them, the prices are super inflated. On the other hand, the Rems are very available and cheaper. Looks like I may have to end up going for one of those. I really wanted a Mossberg because of the safety difference, but I think I could get used to the crossbar. Nice video.

      Thanks buddy! I’m a Mossberg fan 100%! It took me a little while to get used to the Remington , but after I did, I love it!

      Thanks Bobby! I like the 870 tactical, even if it’s a little limited compared to my old wing master .
      It is great in the role it was built for!

      I have the 870 and like it a lot! But I would rather have the Mossberg! 😂

      Just curious if your 590A1 has rifle sights or ghost ring sights instead of just a bead front? I ask because I have the 590A1 SPX with ghost ring sights. The front sight was installed so crooked I can't zero the gun. Replacement barrel from Mossberg was same. My 590 wouldn't cycle Federal ammo for some reason until I replaced the mag follower. My 870 tactical so far has been great with no problems. Probably can't go wrong with either, but nothing but bead sights for me from now on (of course they could install a bead crooked too I guess).

    • @Hunting4Hookers
      @Hunting4Hookers  3 місяці тому +1

      @mr.iowegian Mine came with ghost rings but I sold them and put a tru glow fiber optic sight on.

    Great video and memories!! I love the 870's and 1100's, but I have never owned a tactical 870. I guess the only tactical firearm I have is my AR's. I have owned several shotguns over the years. I have had the Mossberg Model 500 and really like it. I considered it the poor man's version of the 870 and that was only because back then that was the only good pump shotgun that I could afford. That looks like the light I have on my AR or my SKS, can't remember which. Congrats guys on wining Mike's t-shirts!! Again, great video Mike.

    P.s I have a lot of shotguns ,my favorite for home defense to anything is a Stevens 301 12 ga. Rigged up she weighs 7 lbs. She has a slide on illuminated front sight now. An extra recoil pad, shell carrier on stock #3 rounds and inside the pouch 10 extra rounds. Giving me a total of #14 rounds. Lightweight easy to shoulder and carry and deadly results. Don't get caught up on capacity and speed. It all comes down to just one shot. So go belly button to feet. You hit him I'll bet you the milk cow he does not stand back up. And my kids love milk. Peace.

      😂 I love it!
      A lot of folks look down on Stevens shotguns . But Stevens shotguns are awesome!
      A few years ago I bought a Stevens 320 with full pistol grip stock , heat sheild and ghost ring sights for $269!
      I couldn’t believe it!
      Shot the heck out of it with fine shot and buckshot .
      The gun was a tank and shot and shouldered great!
      A buddy didn’t have a shotgun and was a truck driver. He wanted a scatter gun to leave home with his wife while he was on the road.
      I gave it to him and he paid the $25 too FFL it to his name.
      I didn’t want his wife going John Wayne on the neighbors and it get traced to me!
      I should have my butt kicked for getting rid of that thing!
      Thanks for the comment buddy! I appreciate it!

    #3 things. #1 If you need all those shells ,you're dead anyways. #2 Has anyone ever seen someone who has been shotgun blasted??? Trust me on this , it will just take #1 round. Shotguns devastate humans. #3 I bet money that gun rigged up as is weighs 10-15 pounds. The light should never be used for self-defense. Ever. T.V. is lying to you. A light says ""I'm right here"" exactly to the inch. The bad guys are going to love you and your gun light. Cops do not attach lights. They hold it in their hand and the pistol in the other. If you want to go professional killer look, Rambo 3. You're all set. I have a pair of N.V. goggles I use instead of flashlights. And since human beings can't see I.R. light. I feel like I have the upper hand. Your loads are wrong as well. First round should be a high brass No#4 100 bbs coming at their belly button at 1360fps. Second round should be high brass No#4 buckshot #41 pellets coming at their belly button at 1360 fps. Every round after that should be #4 buckshot. The game winner will be who hits first. #100 bbs will mutate flesh into something unrecognizable. The bad guy will want his Mama. There won't be any fight left in that dawg. He will not get back up. Carried -Absolutely ...!!! Real life= 1 hit anywhere on the bad guy. Just one hit and it's game over. When I was taught killing. We were taught to shoot for the belly button. There is no body armor made for belly button to legs. While he is screaming and cussing to high hell. You can take your time on the mercy shot. This way also deters other would be bad guys. Trust me on this. Nothing like a screaming blubbering bad guy to deter other criminals. And a shotgun is the magic. Peace.

      I get your points !
      My take is if the poop goes down in the middle of the night and I’m asleep in my boxers I don’t want to go looking for NV goggles, and getting my special forces groove on.and the light is so I can see if it’s my wife or the bad guy lurking in the dark.
      I can somewhat agree on the side saddles, but it does expand options.
      I took some tactical shotgun classes hosted by ex law enforcement and military operators who suggested how a home defense battle shotgun should be geared up.
      While I’m not totally on board with all of it, that is how I set this shotgun up.
      I respect your opinion and I really do appreciate the comment! Different opinions is how we learn and green from other’s insight!
      Thanks for watching and leaving a comment I really appreciate it buddy!👍

      Thats dumb! A light on any weapon is beneficial to positively identify a target or non target as well as blind your target if desired. If you don’t want to be seen then simply don’t turn it on. Its better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. Same goes for the spare ammo at your fingertips. It takes practice to be proficient with your reloads.

    • @thebigfellar7178
      @thebigfellar7178 Рік тому +1

      @@isaidme0 Dumb is relative to the untrained, and unknowing. Do you really think trained military or police really use flashlights in a life-or-death scenario, if you do, you are ""untrained"". As a small example ""Why does every military in the known world use Night vision and silencers""???? Too much T.V. can be bad for your health. Bad advice can get someone killed. There are millions of "Rambo's " running around out here who were "Special Forces"" Decked out with all the coolest new gadgets. And just attending shooting courses, trained by other former Special Forces"". And watching all the Y.T. Special forces instructors. I can assure you when they come for you at night, you'll never see a thing. Trust me on this. Nor will you hear them either. Or we can have your team equipped with all the new stuff and bright white flashlights and talking on their cool headsets. You're funny. Peace.
