    The kitchen is empowering for EVERYONE! Not just women. Everyone needs to touch and get to know their food. Everyone needs to touch the Earth and grow at home. We are biological creatures. This physical body needs interaction with the soil to function properly. Getting to know your food and how it functions with your body will have everyone understanding the choices you make. Man or woman. Everyone needs to get in the kitchen together! Commune together.

      @@baileyhefner1668 there "not being a point" is the grand cosmic joke. We're not going anywhere. Life only requires that we eat, sleep, excrete and multiply until we eventually stop. Everything else is entertainment. Different levels of comfort depending on economics and what you desire. From the Giant and Powerful to the meek and insignificant, everyone is wanting to be "remembered" and "successful". No one in your life will ever know exactly who you are because we'll never be able to experience everything you've gone through to get to where you are. Not even your own family. Not even someone who lives with you. How well do you know any of the great ancient Greek heroes? Who will remember us? No one. That's not the point. The point is, this is our time, here. This is the Only time we have. Spend it with family in the kitchen. You do not get it back.

    There's nothing wrong with choosing to be in charge of the household, but saying "society has it wrong" is saying that this is the only choice for Christian women. Christian women should also have the choice to be succesful in other ways and not have their fellow Christians judge them for it as if it's wrong.

    Why does it matter? If a woman feels empowered in the kitchen, that’s fantastic for HER. But some women might not thrive in the traditional role. Maybe her husband is better suited for certain domestic duties. I am saying this as a very traditional wife who DOES spend a majority of my time in the kitchen. I can at least acknowledge it’s not for everyone

      It matters because we've been taught to be career women since childhood. It's a different perspective from the mainstream "independent woman" ideology

    • @theoldhermit2601
      @theoldhermit2601 5 місяців тому +9

      @@amandap8214 no mainstream figure has ever said women can't or aren't supposed to be stay at home child takers and doing house duties. Many mainstream figures have said and many still do say that women shouldn't ever have careers and only have a place at home, however.

      There are literally former ACTUAL trad-wives who didn’t make money creating content that are warning young woman about the travails of having “a man be your plan”.
      It would be wrong if it were the other way around. I just don’t get the obsession with gender roles. Some people enjoy cooking, some don’t. Maybe both do or maybe both don’t. As long as their is communication and shared love for each other I think it’s just natural to do whatever it takes to help the other one out in whatever form that is.

    Ladies, if you have a son, empower him in the kitchen as well. Otherwise, some random lady on the internet is gonna laugh about him eating a plate of plain ground beef. As a mother, thinking of my son being talked about like this in public makes me sick

    Psalms 31 was written by the peeping Tom who had a woman’s husband killed on the frontlines in hopes to be with her.
    You two teach young women predominantly because it means a lot to you. I’m not saying that they couldn’t but why don’t you both have your husband’s give their opinions, instead??
    I think the reason the two of you do this is because you feel it’s helpful for young woman to hear these things from someone whose been there. So why wouldn’t God have a woman write this Psalm? Does that not give you pause?
    Also, you are both basically describing in practice the same things most modern feminist would describe. Collaborative parenting. I wouldn’t spend time even leaving comments except that I can tell the sincerity in which you do this with.
    I would just say that if you could reach out to a few actual secular non-believers and ask them what they actually believe versus a pastor or someone’s false depiction of them. You will see that your beliefs aren’t that different.

    Super thankful for this video as a single woman, and super thankful for both of you as women who firmly stand on what the Bible says. As a short testimony: I actually used to be a hater 🫣 but then God opened my heart years later to see the beauty of Jesus through the Gospel, and now you guys are one of the top resources I go to on seeking topics for godly living. Thank you for your perseverance and all that you guys continue to do as a ministry! ❤️
