Much respect I got to start doing this some and this video really helped take some of the uncertain things away. All though I wouldn’t want to do this every day this video help me feel more confident about trying this thanks .and all these men and women stay safe. The company I just started employment with prohibits us from standings in the middle of the road. We're also required to wear hardhats. You need cones too. Tapered from the yellow line towards the outer white line. It should be at 50-100 feet with no less than 6 cones for the tapered portion. You also need a buffer zone between the designated work zone and the flagger's position. The flagger's truck should be at a designated spot at the far end, opposite the flaggers position. We also put four cones around our parked trucks.
I'd have a bad attitude if drivers were doing stupid things and if they did something crazy because I pissed 'em off, they'd be gettin' charged with a felony, so...

In Washington state the flagger must have a airhorn or a whistle to notify of any problems.
Am I certified now to work for the Dot this summer?

Just stating there are multiple safety violations that my company would freak out about in this video demonstration.
Now we need a video for pedestrians..."stop, look (both directions) and listen" then cross when safe.
Oh no they just cross them get mad at you when you almost run them over. It’s like they forgot they have a part to do too🤦♂
