This was every bit as good as I hoped it was going to be. This episode could easily air on TV in my opinion
As an arcade collector, I like the concept of this channel. I love finding guys with old arcade crap piled up in their garage and basement. That’s where I get my deals.
Not a huge fan of the fake reactions portions. "I've been there before" and when he gets there acting surprised "wow this place is awesome". Seemed too forced. Also, walking in "where is he? He's gotta be in here somewhere" camera man is literally standing right beside him. "Oh, there he is".
Make the show your own. The concept is great, just don't mimic the fake reality TV shows out there.
Looked professionally done to me
I thought it was well done, just need work on sound quality
I scoped it out ahead a time but Ralph had actually never been there before
Also all the pickers lingo "I'm at $25 on this, would you do $20" etc. It felt like it was almost a parody. Do your own show, not an arcade version of another show.
@@bryantgillins3510 that's called negotiating LOL
Dude, this is awesome!!! It's like American pickers, but better because it's stuff i'd actually buy.
Agreed!
Indeed! 👍
I Love the format of this! As someone who lives in the UK, we barely had any arcades at all in the 80s and 90s, unless you visited a seaside town on a holiday. Pleas keep doing episodes like this and give this old arcade fan some much needed nostalgia and experience in picking for himself! Great content. :)
love the new series but man you guys gotta be safe. jeez. not only no masks but hugging , shaking hands. be smart we want you to be around to give us great content.
Neat concept. I’m a bit skeptical you’ll be able to find ongoing caches of great stuff that someone is even willing to negotiate on, but maybe it will work. I think focusing on some history and stories around the games and machines is good otherwise it quickly becomes “aaaand here’s yet another SF II CE.”
I do feel like it’s a bit tone deaf to show up to the guy’s place right now without masks when he is wearing one, and shaking hands repeatedly and all that. Even if you guys quarantined proactively before going to film the episode it just felt really distracting and super-obvious that he wasn’t real comfortable with the situation and there you were kinda acting like we weren’t in the middle of the whole pandemic mess.
Cool pilot. Maybe think through the optics when you’re traveling around and meeting different people.
Cant do anything because of this pandemic crap. It's been a year now. Common, tell me that everything we been doing, mask, washing hands, not touching the face, and vaccines and quarantines and 6 feet apart and no more than 10 in a room, has done nothing? No one I knew even got the flu past year. Somthing is up. Let these guys reopen without condemning and stop listening to the news, and look around.
@@jimd4609 Troll elsewhere.
@@BobMcCouch I'm not trolling. I mean really, where is the flu? I looked up the numbers of deaths in the us that the cdc publish every year around December, it was a even lower than the previous years. You have to go to the cdc.gov website to get the facts. Some websites and news outlets will say those charts are wrong. How would they even know? What authority they have to say that when its published on a government website? I encourage you to go to the website and see for your self.
@@jimd4609 The flu? WTF are you talking about? Of course the flu numbers are lower, because (reasonable) people are actually following the CDC’s general guidelines to reduce transmission of infectious disease. If you think we don’t need to follow the guidelines anymore just because it’s been a year and you’re tired of being told to wear a mask, why not consult with the families of 400,000 dead from COVID. But I guess you’re smarter than the infectious disease experts at every health authority around the world. GTFOH with your “I did my own research” bullshit.
I’m out.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback and for watching the show we greatly appreciate it
Amazing show!! Super engaging and looking forward to where this will go. Flynn's spot was a treasure trove. Can't wait for ep 2!! 🔥🔥🔥
The camera work by his son was exceptional. No issues. Well done! I like where this is going.
I really can not comprehend why this video has dislikes!! Come on guys!! I wonder who dislikes this videos. Trolls and haters are everywhere I guess!! 🤷♂️
@@tmz90 Thanks for the support bud, appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment! 🙏🏼
Not being able to see the marquees while prices are being discussed would be the one note I'd have regarding the camera work.
Dude! Dude! you guys nailed it! this felt so authentic like a real TV show the filing the intro the whole 9 yards major props to u guys as long as you bring'em, I'll be watching'em
I really enjoyed the show. There's something about watching people find, buy and repair these old games, its so satisfying. I remember being young and dying to see what was inside the cabinets. Once I got a job working in an arcade in high school, I still had that curiosity about and would sneak around opening the games to see what was inside haha. Seeing these games get fixed and cleaned up is fascinating to me. Part of it must be because I'd love to buy these myself but lack of space is making that tough. So, I'll live through you guys and these videos! Keep them coming!
I digged it! thanks for creating this Ralph, really fun and unique show. Can't wait for the next episode man
Don’t want to be rude but if your seller is wearing a mask I think common courtesy would tell you to wear a mask too.
agree. wear a frickin mask.
I can assure you this is an important topic to us you guys, he was only wearing one to protect his identity not his health, when we politely asked him if we should wear one he said no problem don't worry about it
@@arcadepickers1682 that’s all well and good but that doesn’t come across in the video at all. It’s not a good look when one person is wearing a mask and the rest aren’t.
Congrats in advance to you and Cory on the first episode! Even if you and Justin don't have any 1up Weekly content planned, an after-show an hour or 2 after the pilot releases (after enough time to watch it) would be cool. I'd assume a live simulcast would bleed views on the episode, and we don't want that. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Jason
This is awesome. I want to thank you guys for including prices and negotiating, please please keep that, it helps tremendously for us as fellow collectors.
Thank you so much for the feedback and we appreciate you watching
That guy was Covid conscious but you guys didn’t get a Ffff! No mask, shaking hands over and over and standing near him. He definitely seem a little nervous. 😂 Set a good example during the picking pandemic guys. We’re not through this yet!
Good for you noticing that too. Thank god I live in Canada. That wouldn't fly here.
Ruined an otherwise great experience Yes, I was also really disappointed by the lack of Covid-19 precautions. Cory obviously uncomfortable. Just unacceptable. I see people like this every day and it makes my blood boil. I won't put up with people too lazy and inconsiderate to be respectful of other's health and safety.
I agree! I had to stop watching, it made me very uncomfortable and I felt so bad for the only guy wearing a mask. Please be respectful and more cautious if you make future episodes. You can't pretend there isn't a pandemic while shooting something like this. Use common sense please.
Let me clear the air here you guys, Glen was only wearing a mask to protect his identity everything off camera he had no mask. We were all tested prior to filming and only the three of us and the cameraman were present on his private property. We are very conscious to this topic and we'll make sure to respect these rules moving forward in upcoming episodes
@@arcadepickers1682 well I think you should put up a disclaimer on that. Second, what is he hiding from ?
Whoever edited this is a total stud!! Nice work! Looking forward to more episodes!
Our editor is Mason you can see him in the after the episode Q&A, without him we would have no show
Fantastic show! just came across this. Cant wait for the next episode.
Exactly the kind of show I’ve been looking for “ARCADE PICKERS”. Great job gentleman 👍🏽
Thank you very much we appreciate that sincerely
Awesome job guys. That place is heaven.
I just got around to watching this. Excellent production quality, Ralph! Fun to watch 👍 I'll be watching episode 2 next.
The Rising Sun on that street fighter bath stage. Awesome video !
Just remember: An Arcade is a room where a whole bunch of games and pinball machines and such were kept that you visited. Like a laundromat. You don’t call a washing machine a “laundry”. You don’t call an arcade game cabinet “an Arcade”.
Ralph and his lack of knowledge about terminology make this channel unwatchable.
You guys are kidding right
Dude this is such an awesome idea!!! Look forward to seeing more episodes
Thank you so much for your time and watching our show we greatly appreciate it and there will be more to come for sure
Ralph - Love the Arcade Pickers show man! It should be on broadcast TV. Thanks for the unlimited energy to create all of this content.
Awesome job guys! I think it is just fine the way you did it. It for sure has the American Pickers feel to it. Which I used to love watching that show! And thanks to Flynn for letting you guys come over and film while checking out his amazing collection! And mad props for the great deals you got over there. Hey and it is cool you guys are in Arizona! I am in Mesa myself.
Thank you so much for watching and for your feedback and cheers from Mesa that's where I live, more to come
This was so awesome thanks Ralph, and a great production.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very cool but I just want to play but I have full respect for those who can build a cabinet. Without you I wouldn't be able to play.
Wow very high production value. Great job guys.
Awesome work! Love that you’re doing this and can’t wait for more.
That intro was on point
Thank you very much for watching you guys and thank you for the feedback more to come
Man I was excited just in the Title itself. It brings back so many memories I had in the mall playing those arcades. I can't wait to see where the show goes. Great job to everyone involved. 👏
This was 1000 times better than I expected it to be. Nice job guys. A&E needs to pick you guys up.
Thanks man, much appreciated 🙏🏼
We really appreciate your feedback and thanks for watching
Really enjoyed this one! Keep up the great work guys!
Great video! I Love to follow these arcade road trips! Keep the good job Ralph (a far away french viewer)
I didn't want the episode to end, great episode man and looking forward to the rest of the season.
Sweet thanks man we appreciate it
Well this pretty much exceeded all expectations. Very nicely done guys. I wanted that Total Carnage marquee I saw!
Thanks bud, means a lot 🙏🏼. I really appreciate you watching!
@Retro Ralph! This is brilliant! I did not know what to expect. I am impressed. Magnificent quality and such a great concept. More of this please!
I have been "Arcade Picking/restoring" since 1989! Good job on this episode! Always grab as many CRT's as you can!!! They are gold!!!
Nice work guys. Great idea.
I'm sure being around all those arcades is like being a kid in a candy store, this was a fun intro to all the adventures both of you will embark and I will be tagging along with you guys if that's ok. Looking forward to more arcade adventures oooon the next one!
Thanks so much that means a lot to us
Love the show :) ... watching the show and eating breakfast. Perfect 👌
Man the negotiating is a real hoot. I personally would have told you to get to stepping in this case because it's not the seller's responsibility or concern regarding to what you might want to do to flip something later down the road. Why would I care about you wanting to make money off of something you're buying from me? That is one of the dumbest things that you could say to a seller because you're really making a gamble on whether or not they're even going to deal with you. This was definitely a really cool episode though in general and I look forward to seeing the rest of the series!
Congratulations Ralph! Really enjoyable. You have a bright future ahead of you.
Dope show!! I love picker shows and you guys did a great job can't wait until next episode.
Thank you so much for watching
Pretty cool. I know who Flynn is and picked up things from him here and there. I bought the Operation Wolf cabinet in the video and am doing a full restore on it. I’m local in AZ and do full restores of games. He had a K7000 sitting outside with the rest of the tubes. I repaired it and it looked brand new again. Diamond in the rough.
Oh man, score on both the Operation wolf and the K7000, nice work!
This was way more then what i thought. Good jobs guys. Street fighter heaven. Ohh yeahh. I cant wait to see more espoide.
Thank you so much for watching
Great Team, Great Show....!!!
Awesome job guys, look forward to the next one
I enjoyed this! Nice concept and execution. Look forward to seeing more.
I live in the same area so it's eye-opening that all this stuff has been stored around here right under my nose.
Good job guys and great first show!! I was blown away by the camera and overall quality. Great to see a lot of arcade treasures still around and ready to be restored. Ready for the next one!
Really enjoyed this Ralph. Its hard not to when you get to see whats out there and try to restore our childhood. I hope it continues and I know the show will only get better. I also hope we get more than 4 to 5 episodes but I know thats the end goal. Amazing idea for a show and look forward to future episodes
I can totally see this getting picked up by a network. Great work! What a fun show!
Ready! Let's Rock Ralph!
Dude, this was so good. You and Cory have good chemistry on camera for this and I can only see it getting more polished. This is perfect to pivot and get away from all the BS you got sucked in. Keep moving forward your way, cheers
Thank you so much for watching there is more to come don't worry
Lots of FUN!! Great Start!!

Loved this guys! I look forward to the up coming episodes! With you guys in my backyard, I love that you are trying to fix up what was huge to us as we grew up in the '80's and early '90's. I will probably be buying a fixed up cabinet from you Ralph. Keep up the great work...

Been waiting for a series like this for years!! Much respect to you guys, and well excited to see Episode 2! Always a fun hunt, spotting a machine in the wild.
Thank you so much for watching and for giving feedback we greatly appreciate it
Really well-done video Ralph! The young camera dude did an excellent job, be sure to let him know he did GREAT. I really like the on-the-road type of thing you got going here, might be on to a big series. Keep up the great work 👍 I've done a few of these pickups in the past (x1 multi-cade, x1 FB Markeplace find and one sitting by a dumpster -gutted) and it's exciting bringing home an original cab. The only original cab I own is a 1980's Defender, I need to re-cap it (again) lol
Thanks for watching bud, I agree...Cory’s son did a great job. I gave him a 10 min crash course and he did his thing, pretty cool! I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment 🙏🏼
Gotta say it totally lived up to the hype in my mind. Something I can watch again and again to spot everything in the piles of treasure.
Much appreciated thank you

Omg, Ralph. This is it, dude. What a great format. You’re gonna hit Netflix with this.
Thanks for watching bud, Episode 2 comes out in just a few days! I'm super excited for you to see it!
This should be on tv kind of like American pickers
Everything retro is coming back, don't be surprised if a network picks it up
Eye candy of a show
Great first episode! Looking forward to the rest of the series. Hope you plan to do follow-ups on the restoration/builds for each of the cabinets you pick up
Thank you very much for watching and for your feedback, we will definitely be showing some of the restoration process on some of these cabinets

“It’s final thoughts time!”
Great first show! The filming was great, content was really interesting and kept me engaged, audio could be balanced out a little bit, but overall I loved it. Great job! One last thought... Justin would be a great guest on this show. The chemistry you guys have is really something special. Don’t lose that!
“Til the next one”
Looking forward to this 🥳
Great job guys! 👍🏻👏🏻
Great show. Will keep watching.
Dragon's Lair main issue is the marquee. It protrudes from the cabinet. You'll have to rebuild that part. But good news is you can run dexter/merlin combo and bring it back running rock solid. Bezel on the street fighter is to a Championship Edition since it shows that you can play as the boss.
Great job, guys! I look forward to seeing what you have done with the cabinets that you purchased. Can't wait to see the next episode.
Thank you so much that means a lot to us
Best show ever! A paradise for eyes.

I’m digging it. May I suggest some updates in the next episodes and a flashback to where you picked things up? Kinda like a before and after of cabinets you fixed up. Keep up the great work.
