Not trying to be all doom and gloom but you can't treat recessions as independent and identically distributed random variables / events. There are causal relationships between some of them and the reality is they are highly complex events that can't be generalized in such a way. Also, no one is ready for the Taiwan black swan event. Is it the Typhoon or will it be something else? We don't know but there will come a moment soon where the supply chain get's disrupted for GPUs and when that happens it's going to be a big red day for all. Not saying we need to make plans around it but if your mind isn't open to the notion that it will happen then you won't be ready to trade accordingly.
