I purchased Your comp for the echelon. Than got full size frame from Springfield threaded barrel for the compact from Springfield because of the short y’all made on this
I'm now using a HA comp on my P320 and Dagger. The results are both measurable and tactile while shooting both platforms. I would have done my G45 but that has a Radian Ramjet + Afterburner on it. Y'all gonna end up making me HA comp the rest of my handguns though, including my Echelon now. 😄 Cheers! 🤙
I did this with my Glock 45x 17 frame and the radian ramjet. Took some modifying. Next I am doing an fde version with my 19x and I am really considering one of your comps in fde. Just waiting on my fde 17 frame.
@@believein1 I modified one of my echelon grips and made an extended dust cover to make my custom fitted aeroknox comp integrated and was surprised to find that it reduced the muzzle rise by another 15-20% in that configuration and was far easier to shoot, shorts of it on my channel
My whole plan was to do a build like this once the compact came out and do some videos on it, however I'm not full of money and bought the echelon as a modular gun so that I wouldn't have to buy several pistols to do several things and could just have one COG and several load outs, save money and space. However Springfield Armory is HIGHLY disappointing and refused to sell me just a compact slide assembly and has no immediate plans to do so anytime soon. They are basically not embracing their product fully as a modular gun and are just using that basically as a bait gimmick to buy more guns. Being an echelon owner since the first week it came out and having outfitted a large order of them to my team why should I have to buy a whole OD green model, a whole comp model, a whole compact model and spend all that money and have 4 fucking COG units when the whole point is to have 1 COG unit and several load out parts. They have really ruined the Echelon for me because of that, I refuse to have to spend another 700$ on the same gun half in shorter when I can and did buy the compact grip, magazine, and recoil assembly off their website but they outright refused to sell me a slide assembly. What a scam
so they dont plan to sell the compact slide by itself at all? Ive heard that they will eventually. I was considering getting the original full size echelon now, and then the compact slide later on to do this build. Do you think it would be a waste to go ahead and get the full size one?
@lukevaughan3975 They told me as of right now there are no plans to sell Echelon slides by themselves and that if they decide to do that in the future they will be available on the website. How long ago did they release the XD? 15 years ago? And just this year they started selling an updated OR slide for the XD? I emailed their Sales and Marketing manager and their CEO (who didn't reply, they really are soooo customer service oriented) and even told them that If I wasn't able to utilize the Echelon modularity to its fullest extent and in the process saving money and space by not having 1 COG and 4 loadouts, not 4 COGs and 4 full guns to which it was sold to me as by a Springfield sales rep then I would have no use for it and would be selling it to get a Sig P320 because I invested in a modular Echelon, not a half-assed gimmick modular echelon. They didn't care, they said well were sorry about the confusion as to the modularity of the Echelon platform and straight out refused to sell me a slide and were willing to lose not one but many customers over such a simple and easily accomplished request. It's been a year and a half now since the first Echelon was released which I bought one the first week it was out and they still don't even offer a non threaded barrel for sale for the people who bought a threaded version out the gate (like me) nor do they offer even a normal echelon slide set up if you wanted to piece one together yourself, they want you to buy full guns and that's it, yes we now offer 5 different Echelon models and no you can't just buy an OD green slide and an OD green grip to put your COG into your need to buy a whole other Echelon, what a joke and a greedy misconstrued marketing plan to sell guns and that's it. Fuck the customers if they aren't buying more guns everyone needs 5 Echelons and 5 COGS . I'm absolutely stunned at how they are approaching this platform where EVERY other company that offers a modular pistol offers customer freedom in building their own loadouts utilizing all the parts at their disposal, except Springfield, they are not embracing their own product and instead are using it to embrace as many dollars as they can when in reality if they have customer freedom they would get more customers and make more money

Yo what’s up with your warranty? Is it no questions asked life time warranty or only covers manufacture defects? Your support team has been civil and nice but terrible service and the most pushback I’ve ever seen. For a no questions asked life time warranty you guys sure do ask a lot of questions. And the worst part is I really enjoy your products and have been every day carrying your comp. Literally trusting my life in a piece of metal you machined that’s not working and then you won’t even warranty it??

If Icarus or Echon brings out a 5" dust cover frame so that Comp can sit flush on the frame, will bring a lot of eyes on the Echelon in a good way.

Man you need to do it with a Glock, use a full size Glock 17 frame and a Glock 19 slide. I think that will be dope.
I'm sure the longer frame offers a more stabilized shot as opposed to something added to the frame.
