You should do progress videos of plants watered weekly with BYN fertilizer versus no fertilizer (or slow-release fertilizer). I'm seeing the biggest difference on my geraniums. 😆

In the front garden I have fifty two pots of perennials, four flower beds and six pots of annuals on the windowsills. I water the pots with a watering can every couple of days in the evenings or when they feel dry to the touch. We are lucky in Ireland we get a mixture of rain and sun which make the gardens lush. I'm retired now and wake up at five in the morning so I might water the pots in the morning.

We are in the 70s overnight, so I need to water twice a day. 5 am and 5 pm. And I always use my Beat Your Neighbor fertilizer every Saturday. The flowers look amazing!

I Have to water 2 times per day in central Texas. Up to 105 in day sometimes and low 80-85 evening.
Lots of wind. I think I need to fertilize more than once a week. What do you think?

Water plants and the lawn in the morning. Wet plants and lawn at night can cause rot, fungus, and it attracts insects. 👋

One question I have along these lines. I water in morning and do fertilizer Friday with my beat your neighbor fert. I often use a moisture meter, so I don' have to pick everything up. At what reading on the meter would you say watering is required? If the meter is in the wet zone I don't water. If it is in dry zone, I do water. But what about when it is in the moist zone? Is it best to not water until it gets a bit more into the dry zone, or would you recommend a lite watering? I have started using a quality soil with the hydra fiber and Belden 12" baskets, which seems to do a good job with water retention. Last year I used coco liners, so I was watering daily with those, but with the new soil and baskets, having a difficult time on when to water as they retain water much better.

Get a feel for the day too. Is it going to be sunny and warm? Cold and dreary? Those all play a factor in the decision. If the meter is reading just in the moist and the day is going to be sunny and warm, I like to err on the side of watering. If not I like to just let them be.
