    I usually work in the pool. But now and again in the sea. But I work very differently. Interesting to see what you are doing.

    Hi, I really like your video, it teaches me lot. Just curious why f8 instead of say f4 or lower? Second, will image get blur shutter at 100-160? Thank you!

      It's different with every image. There's really no steadfast rule for this. Typically, I don't get motion blur above 100th sec. If you wanted to make sure of this, you can definitely open up to f4 and jack the shutter up to 1'200th or more to compensate for the larger aperture.

    Good informative video, do you typically shoot using wider lenses? I feel like the wide lens really shows off the surroundings and environment. Man I want an underwater housing for my Sony. $$$ haha, might start with my go pro and see what I can get.

      I almost always shoot at 15mm. My Canon 8-15mm L series is without a doubt the best one available today. I also use this lens on my Sony a7r4 with the help of a Sigma adaptor.

    I wouldn't ask for anything physical for the eye of camera nor make light out of the water even with that jay to remain in that virgin clear water, he knows exactly what I want to render and I can feel that I am communicating with him even without the tangible existence of materials. That is why which you probably cannot understand

    could you share how to set GH5 white balance for underwater photography

    • @CaymanJason
      @CaymanJason  6 років тому

      Hi Jimmy, as I'm sure you are aware, the GH5 comes with a one button white balance. This makes a custom white balance on this camera super simple, in theory anyway. The few things that you must keep in mind are, fill the square in the lcd with your white balance card. Make sure the white card is lit by the sun or alternate light source. Thirdly, zero out your light meter when preforming the custom white balance. While the process is simple, I personally found the GH5 was unable to correctly create white at depth. I did however have good luck when using Keldan video lights in AWB mode.

    Whats your kelvin temperature for this shoot?

      Hi, I always shoot a CWB so I have no idea what temp it is. Because the light is always changing, CWB is the best way to go to get great color
