Just remember that every 3 feet of elevation gets you one mile of coverage(seeing further over the horizon). looks good.

Johan, If I understand correctly you installed the nylon insert that goes around the backstay and clamped the unit together and were still able to slide it up the backstay? Getting ready to install one and trying to have it all straight in my head.

Would love to see a review of this radar. Anything to report? Does it work as advertised?

It's massively overpriced. 1300 euros for a mount! Many radars (including Furuno DRS4W) cost the same or slightly more than this. Scanstrut make great quality stuff but the pricing of some is just outrageous.

I'll let you know if I agree. I have Raymarine Doppler 2 installed now paired with Axiom 9, Seatalk, and AIS700 transponder. I have Sirius XM weather and the Axiom cannot seem to overlay radar, AIS, or weather. So...I am learning my lesson on a different install. We'll see if my ipad gives me more flexibility with Digital Yacht AIS NOMAD, Navionics, and Furuno First Watch. If it is junk, I will be the first to admit.
