WE TOLD YOU SO | Back 4 Blood Song Feat.
Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 лют 2025
- The Ridden have risen. And in Turtle Rock's Back 4 Blood, spiritual successor to the classic Left 4 Dead series, you and your fellow cleaners are tasked with flushing them out and taking them down. You'll face breakers, hags, stingers, tallboys, exploders, ogres and all sorts of other relevant keywords for the survival of the community of Fort Hope and, quite possibly, the world.
Dan and I started talking about a Back 4 Blood collaboration way back when the game was announced! We always knew we'd need an elite team to tackle the hoard so I'm super grateful to Rustage, Shwabadi and Connor Quest for jumping on this project to help out!
Even though we'd been talking about it for ages we didn't actually decide to go ahead and do it until just two weeks ago. So this entire project was incredibly condensed vs the 2-3 months my videos usually take to work on! A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen!
And of course a massive thank you to all of my incredible supporters on Patreon for making videos like this possible!

LYRICS:
SHWABADI
Remember me? I'm that guy
That you laughed at constantly
All the time
‘Cause I'd hoard supplies
Read message boards online
So for the breakout, my safe house was boarded tight
And now look, when it's dark and dire
Can't get online to look up how to start a fire
Don't suck up to me, I know what your heart desires
All my survival rations, fashion, spare parts and pliers
I got the tools that you need
So for expertise, to me they run
So living my life as a hermit had benefits
Now about time that I had me some fun
Pick up a pistol, I'm painting the walls
Bat in my fist and I'm breaking their jaws
The bigger the git, then the harder they fall
Shouldn't brag, but I knew I was right all along
Ha!
STUPENDIUM
They laughed and rolled their eyes
When I hoarded gas and stockpiled supplies
One little societal collapse and wow!
Tell me Dad, who’s laughing now?
‘Cause now we’re ridden with Ridden, well I’ll be bidding good riddance
To the miserable existence I was so sick of living
Used to sit and kill time, now I fill my time killing
All the bitten idiots who didn’t sit up and listen
I don’t miss ‘em, nah, I never was the chatty type
Ain’t saying I’m okay with genocidal parasites
World burns, but it’s spinning and we yearn for rotisserie
That worm turned life to a deadly kind of paradise
Cleaners swapped the mop and the suds
For a Molotov, Glock and some buckets of blood
I was Armageddon prepping, you were up in the club
It’s my turn for fun, you can run but I told you so
CHORUS
As the dead come to call and the darkness descends
At the end of it all’s where the party begins
Yes, we’re sad you were mauled, but it’s hard to pretend
We’re not having a ball as we carve through your friends
So get busy running, but we saw it coming
You thought it was funny when my oven had a gun in
We were stocking up, but you were mocking all the warnings
Now we’re far too busy killing Ridden to be mourning
Yes, it’s awful to gloat, even so we just hope that you know
We told you so
We told you so
RUSTAGE
Used to always tell me I should check my head
‘You’re mental’
Now their bodies have been Left 4 Dead
Not vengeful
But I’m gunning like an FPS
No dental
This ain’t covered by the NHS
Metal to the heart like a pacemaker
I don’t need your stupid money
That’s just waste paper
I’m a game changer
Call this grave dangers
And they waking up 28 Days Later
Ain’t nobody care about their Facebook status
Know that I’ve been practicing with Space Invaders
Village became ridden
I’ve been staying hidden
I can be the one to light them up
‘Cause man, I hate my neighbours
I’ll shoot my zombie mother
Know I wouldn’t even hesitate
I left my room a mess
But now I got no need to decorate
I don’t even care about these ‘better days’
‘Cause now I’m shooting all my shots at tallboys like the NBA
DAN BULL
Oi mate, this is what I’ve been waiting all day for
What my whole life before was foreplay for
I’m a full-flavoured natural-born raver
With a great flair for appalling behaviour
Rule breaker and now there’s no lawmakers
No rules to break, so I break your face bruh
Swap it for a footprint, sole trader
Knocked through the wall like a next door neighbour
I’m bloody sick of all these Joel Havers
I’ll blaze them like a bit of rolled paper
F*ck you, I’m Millwall at away pubs
In the morning you’ll be lucky if you wake up
Cracked skulls in the old days down in Bermondsey
Now the whole world’s on a murder spree
And there’s nothing to do but disturb the peace
But better not splash claret on my Burberry
Oi!
GONNER QUEST
Gonner Quest's turn, here to spit the refrain
Got a real ear worm that'll grip your brain
Put the rave into grave til I burst with gore
So pump the volume, ALERT THE HORDE.
CHORUS
As the dead come to call and the darkness descends
At the end of it all’s where the party begins
Yes, we’re sad you were mauled, but it’s hard to pretend
We’re not having a ball as we carve through your friends
Now I never dreamed I’d become a cleaner
But I hadn’t fathomed a janitor packing heat and
Banishing these parasitic phantoms to the ether
Sanitise the planet as a freaky form of leisure
Yes, it’s awful to gloat, even so we just hope that you know
We told you so
We told you so
Wonderful !
The king himself :D
Godly great job as always :)!!
Ninth like. Love your work Stupes! I knew you were gonna be big after the scrabble rap!

Dead serious.
That was awful and I love it

Sorry, can't talk. My next door neighbour just knocked THROUGH the wall. Very inconsiderate.
You crushed it in this one Dan!!!
This was really good your voices are amazing
your character was an Ok impression of us cockney's, gave me a good bubble china.
the hood move towards the end was more a thing the wannabe's try to pull in an effort to look hard when it just makes them look like a joke.
but still enjoyed your impression.

I like how three out of the four were proper doomsday preppers, and dan bull comes in like, "I was born to crack skulls". He's just been living the rough and tumble life, so he's the only one who adjusted without all that preparation.
Funny
Explains why paranoid people get violent, they’re the smart ones
Everyone else was completely ready for the apocalypse, he survived because he refuses to die
He has clearly earned his place
Agreed, all the more emphasized by how he just yeets Rustage aside at the start of his verse. Some doomsday preppers are pretty tough dudes, but British hooligans of the sort Dan was playing are (in my experience) just plain crazy.

Dan Bull's character is a walking Bri'ish meme and honestly that's the most fitting role for his voice in a song like this

Honestly Connor, this song was too good as it is. I don't think us fans could have handled you as well.

I question if Dans character knows if it's a zombie apocalypse or if he just is happy he just is grateful these people are letting him curb stomp fools.
I just noticed all of the writing on the walls. There's always details I miss in these! My favorite bit of writing I noticed was
*"NO ESCAPE"*
"I escaped!"
"No you didn't, Daryll. You're still here."
what about "I found an orange pen!"?
@@gamerhurley Or " that's cold bro" when the father informs the wife that he's taken the kids to fort hope.
When it shows the icons of the collaborators at the beginning, in the top left corner, you'll see my favourite :D
"Maybe we're the zombies?"
"Shut up, Dan."
"I think my apocalypse is...
pen is running out.
IS ANYONE MAKING NEW PENS?
DAMN!"
“ANYONE SEEN MY DOG?”
“Food is low. Just sayin.”
Writing on the wall from the beginning:
"IT WAS IN THE WI-FI!"
"The worms were in the wifi?"
"I read an _ARTICLE_.
EDUCATE YOURSELF"
Dang, that beat, and that chorus. It’s just so bopping I almost forget I’m jamming to a song about a zombie apocalypse. Great job, mates!
This may get lost in the sea of comments, but I wanted to tell you that I passed my survsafe management exam today!! Your songs helped me focus while studying and calm down if I got overwhelmed by all the information, so I felt that you should celebrate as well. Thank you for helping on my journey. Even if you really weren't there, you helped more than I could have asked for.
Congratulations, friend! :D
If you don't mind me asking what's Survsafe? Is it something to do with food?
@@meteorx6076 it's a food safety certification, I've had that one plus the liquor card before.
@@meteorx6076 They are correct, it is a food safety course that kitchen staff in America (and possibly other places as well though I'm not sure) have to take if they want to cook or work in the kitchen professionally. In order to take the exam you need to basically memorize different times and temperatures for food so that it's safe to eat. We also learn how to keep food from being contaminated, and to help keep the kitchen clean, at least in my class.

I've been playing Back 4 Blood non-stop and this song is going to be my new soundtrack for the game! All 5 of you knocked it out of the park and props to you Stupes for rocking a Hoffman look perfectly! Love the neon on the walls as well like they're in a club
if i had a nickel every time the subscribe button was made out of blood i would have 2 nickels, it isn't much but it's strange that it happened twice
The oven gun joke reminds me of a show called Psych. One of the characters is extremely paranoid and keeps 9 emergency guns, one even being in a bowl of peanuts.
I just noticed when the chorus began, The "SAFE!" on the wall had the words "NOT" above it. I just love the details in this video, not to mention the song itself.
Ok so we got: survivalist, conspiracy theorist, gamer and Bri’ish.
Honestly, as someone who would probably die pretty quickly in a zombie apocalypse, I wouldn't even be sad if this bop was playing.
It doesn’t matter if I like the game or not, the song Stupendium drops will always be amazing. And I love this theme, instead of an analysis of the story or anything like that, it’s a comedic take on the characters. It’s great.
It seems so fun to film, I hope you guys liked it! it is actually one of my fav songs
What a FANTASTIC birthday present! You and your boys did a great job! I am very pleased.

Havent played the game, but I dont have to in order to see this song is an absolute banger! You guys did an amazing job, with great lyrical cleverness as always and an amazing atmosphere! Again, an amazing job and happy Halloween!
Same here
The game gets really hard and unfun to play at the end
Honestly I just love how cleanly structured this song is. The parts flow into each other so naturally its beautiful. You can tell from just looking at how it's made this is from a master of the craft
Holy Stupendium! In your verse you play around with words like a musician with their instrument you’re word play is off the charts! Honest pure brilliant talent
Thats brilliant, never expected such an big and awesome crossover. I never felt better to hear`"i told you so"
The Joel Haver bar is such a unique reference that you really had to be here in this niche youtube community at this time to see. I love it lmao
haha seriously, i had to rewind to make sure i heard it right 🤣
I know about Joel Haver but I don’t get the joke
what is it supposed to mean?
@@TheIT221 Im not speaking with authority here but Im mostly certain its a reference to his cartoon tutorial. Once Joel released a vid showing how he did the VHS style vids, a bunch of people started making their own but usually credited Joel Haver in the title of the video itself
@@reecehatton8469 ohhhhh that makes sense thank you for helping clear it up

Shwabadi comments: what brilliant opening. A classic and lyrically impressive version of “I told you so”
Stupendium comments: As always my favourite. I mean it’s hard to describe exactly why I like your verse so much. But really enjoyed all the small gimmicks.
Rustage comments: my favourite verse in this song, a really awesome gamer bit. Filled references and that delightful bass voice.

I *was* expecting a Halloween special from you, but not this early, and not with this game either (not that I’ve heard of it, another one from this year)!
Great job on this one! Excited to see what the rest of the year brings!
"exploders, ogres and all sorts of other relevant keywords..." Even the video descriptions are cheeky, and I really appreciate it. Excellent song as well, props to all involved!
again, another excellent song greg. really liked the lyrics in this one, and the fact that there's like 4 guest stars is insane. probably your best song yet. i'm not lying.
This is the perfect vibe for a song about this game. It's all about taking back the world and proving those of us left are going to not just survive, but thrive. It ain't the end of the world, it's the start of a bloody party.
I also appreciate all the game references in the lyrics. xD
The amount of detail and effort poured into every undead crevice of this video is already god-tier enough, but then there's the banging song with all of the talented artists! Excellent job!
I can just appreciate that the zombie- despite just mumbling around- has lines, that is such a great detail!
Amazing work as always- all of you! ^^
I am really never disappointed by the sheer quality you put out every time. Always some new music genre. Always an original perspective on the game's setting. Always an new concept, set, instrumental, and text. Always some puns in there that you only get the 10th time listening. And always loop potential. Seriously, I have no idea how you manage to get out bangers this frequently and consistently, but I'm not complaining. I've only played a handful of games that you cover with your tracks, but it honestly doesn't matter since the music's good every time no matter what. Keep up the good work (and I hope you're still getting enough free time to actually play the games you cover, but if I look at the quality and amount of uploads, that seems impossible)
