Let me give some insights for these songs: OH MY GOD: -When SOYEON wrote the song she wanted the audience to think "What was she thinking?" or "What's does she meant?", so she wrote the lyrics so vaguely with a lot of open ended symbolisms like the white apple and the "she" on the chorus. Until now they never revealed the true meaning behind. -She said that the "she" in the chorus doesn't mean a woman and Soyeon gave a statement saying "Music should not be bound by gender since music is for everyone." (non-verbatim). -Connecting to that, when asked, SOYEON said that you can interpret the song however you like, and for you to TRUST your self and your interpretaion. This is the story behind their 3rd Album I-TRUST (OMG is the title track). They have 2 versions, the TRUE ver. (black theme saying truth are often hidden), and LIE ver (white theme saying white lies are the ones making others like us). And it is up to us which to TRUST for ourselves. -Some theories goes like a forbidden or toxic love, lgbt love, and even have biblical meanings. -Licking the barb wire kinda meant she's ready to get hurt for trusting her judgement. I think this song is really important for Soyeon's personal beliefs and her christianity. As a lot of fans know Soyeon is christian together with Soojin. And i mean, even here there are literally crosses everywhere at the end, brought up by the dancers.The white apple, that means yes, you can bite the apple of knowledge and feel all you want cause if you feel pure with it, it's not a sin (with the right restraints obviously,lol, like..."do not kill"). And with "THAT is not a sin", THAT could mean anything. Soyeon said that the "HER" could be anything. Anything you feel pure but at the same time wrong about.The point of the song is "whatever people are saying, love what you want, cause if it makes you feel happy then that's not a sin for God". That's why she's praying to god in the middle of the song and in the chorus/title...it's a prayer in which she says that she knows it's not a bad sin since she's feeling so tempted to something she feels good and Pure with. And god could never punish her for pureness, literally. The title itself suggest she's talking to God

-HWAA is the third of the song/story trilogy. SOYEON said that to follow the story, you should listen to HANN (ALONE) >> HAN (Alone in Winter) >> HWAA (FIRE/FLOWER)
-SHUHUA (girl biting the blue flower) was SOYEON's inspiration for this trilogy and created a story where she's the protagonist. SOYEON said that SHUHUA is just "pure beauty".
-Their 4th album I-BURN have 3 versions showed in the MV. WINTER, FLOWER, and FIRE.
-Their choreo and rhythm resembles both flower and fire, having wavy and blooming/fanning movements.
-They had this song written, conceptualized, and composed after their song LION (November 2019 ) and before OH MY GOD (March 2020). But they only recorded, shot, and released it this January 2021 just to fit the "winter" season. They waited for a year just for that reason.
-The song ended so abruptly may signify like a fire being snuffed out. (or maybe there is a continuation of the story)
-Maybe it's just me, but MIYEON 8:05 looked like Boa Hancock from One Piece coz of her hair, SOYEON 10:07 looked like Azula from ATLA, and SHUHUA 10:10 10:18 looked like Mulan.
Fun Facts:
-Minnie (red hair) and Yuqi (short hair deep voice) both wore wigs during the MV shoot. But they really dyed and cut their hair for the following promotions.
-The snow on the ground was salt, and the girls are splashing each other with it.
-The burning blue flower that Shuhua had was a reference from a line to their song LION, showing that may be their songs are really connected.

Soyeon is best female rapper present in K-pop right now. And G-IDLE is self producing group 99% of the G-IDLE songs are completely written and composed by their leader Soyeon herself. Soyeon always has hand in writing and composing each and every songs on the album. Even these two Oh My God and Hwaa are completely written and composed by Soyeon. She has also written and produced songs for other artists such as CLC. We stan talented queens.

I think this song is really important for Soyeon's personal beliefs and her christianity.
As a lot of fans know Soyeon is christian together with Soojin. And i mean, even here there are literally crosses everywhere at the end, brought up by the dancers.The white apple, that means yes, you can bite the apple of knowledge and feel all you want cause if you feel pure with it, it's not a sin (with the right restraints obviously,lol, like..."do not kill"). And with "THAT is not a sin", THAT could mean anything. Soyeon said that the "HER" could be anything. Anything you feel pure but at the same time wrong about.The point of the song is "whatever people are saying, love what you want, cause if it makes you feel happy then that's not a sin for God". That's why she's praying to god in the middle of the song and in the chorus/title...it's a prayer in which she says that she knows it's not a bad sin since she's feeling so tempted to something she feels good and Pure with. And god could never punish her for pureness, literally. The title itself suggest she's talking to God
