The current President of Columbia, Minouche Shafik, has a list of accolades longer than I am tall. There is no documentation along those accolades as to how successful her tenure was at these helms of business, to which she was appointed. In her book, "What We Owe Each Other, Shafik spoke of her concerns of 'cancel culture' on university campuses, and included these quotes "The point of university is to be intellectually challenged and confronted with difference." She argued that universities needed to "teach people to have difficult conversations, it is through that process of listening that you learn, you build consensus, and you move forward as a community."
Apparently, Shafik meant none of what she wrote. What is happening on the campus of Columbia, makes cancel culture seem like a picnic. It would appear, for all her so called trailblazing, when it comes to putting your money where your mouth is, she is gutless, and full of hot air. It is time for Minouche Shafik, another DE&I hire, to resign. Her cowardice has placed students in harms way, to put it mildly. She is a phony and nothing but empty words. She has no value at this campus. Resign now.

During the 2020 riots he never condemned the riots, he supported them. 2020 riots were far more financially destructive, somewhere around 25 people were murdered as a result of those rioters, countless private businesses were destroyed and he supported it all. He went as far as to say his own son had privilege that his adopted son(black) did not have. He stated laws need to change because his handsome, articulate , well dressed, A student, adopted son, had less advantages the his biological son, simply because his skin was a different color.
