Colm M Hi Colm! The word “stan” is actually a new word, I think Gen Z came up with it? Not sure. But anyway, it comes from Eminem’s song “Stan” where a man called Stan is obsessed with Eminem to the point of insanity. People started using the word “stan” to mean a really crazed fan at first, then just “a really big fan” and then people started using it as a verb. To “stan” something is to be a big fan of. So Roblox here means that they are a huge fan of how hard she works.
Yea, also I believe that she actually makes slime herself which is crazy considering someone her age. Some people are like 8 or 5 years older than her, and those people still need help on making slime, since they make slime with their staff. But, Marisa, just works by herself I think. Right! If someone came up with a more eco-friendly slime, maybe made from recycled materials, I’m sure it’d be a hit. She simply has a business that is driven by a niche supply & demand that's able to maintain a stable equilibrium _as a business._ Essential workers in general require a social network that ensures that they are adequately compensated rather than treating those essential services like a profit-driven institution. Even things like the postal service doesn't exist to make money, _it exist because it is necessary._ Same with grocery store employees, garbage truck drivers, fire fighters, medical professionals, etc. That's why those things are funded at a government and institutional level, because they can't be allowed to be subject to the whims of supply & demand, nor can they be exploited and undercut by competition for profitability slashing employee wages to support a bottom line. Assuming you live in America - that's absurdly gutted and rampantly abused in the name of capitalism. That's an issue that has to be solved systemically & politically - and no amount of girls selling slime will ever have an impact on the mechanics of those employees' monetary compensation or lack thereof.

I'm confusion are you saying your name is Stan...like Stanley? Or like a typo saying that you stand with her?
And, also, how she runs 2 social media programs, with over 600 k for each one

Every generation has its slang but what confuses me is that I'm Gen X, early 40s, and I'm shocked that people still know who Eminem is? I so badly want to say Eminem was a big deal "back in my day," but that makes me feel really old!

She is so passionate about it, and it is good to see someone chase their dreams. But the fact that Slimes are non-biodegradable, plus the craze for slimes never ceases to exist, which is disturbing. Only if there were green alternatives to it. No hate to her tho, it is the people. :(
Right! If someone came up with a more eco-friendly slime, maybe made from recycled materials, I’m sure it’d be a hit. But slime also seems like a market where greenwashing could be very, very easy to get away with, so as consumers that feels like something for us to watch out for if a “sustainable slime” hits the market.

It’s funny to me how some people are like “how is she making so much money from something that isn’t even a trend anymore?” Lol but guys just because something isn’t a trend or isn’t as popular as before does not mean you still can’t get things out of it, if she’s making 50k a month from something that was a trend like 4 years ago then slime obviously hasn’t died, it never will.. it just isn’t a trend anymore so of course not as many people are gonna have interest in it.. but there’s clearly still people out there that are doing it :) good for her tho like fr

@@iknowexactlywhoyouare8701 -and those two things have _nothing_ to do with each other. She simply has a business that is driven by a niche supply & demand that's able to maintain a stable equilibrium _as a business._
Essential workers in general require a social network that ensures that they are adequately compensated rather than treating those essential services like a profit-driven institution.
