    We can enhance the performance of the original ear tips that come with the IEMs through a simple tweak, eliminating the need for expensive replacements. I utilized a small strip of Blu Tack, wrapping it around both nozzles stems of my IEMs behind the silicone ear tips' flaps. To ensure effectiveness, I straightened the flaps attached to the nozzles before wrapping the Blu Tack strip and then covered the flaps back. This tweak imparted the IEM with a combined sonic character of both silicone tips and foam tips.
    The results were noticeable - passive noise isolation improved by nearly 70%, the bass and sub-bass became tighter and more controlled, the treble revealed more details, vocals gained a crisper quality, and the soundstage exhibited an extension. This tweak worked remarkably well for IEMs using single BA driver, such as FIIO FA1 and other budget IEMs like those from KZ, CCA, and TRN. You can experiment with different impacts by applying half or full-filled strips of Blu Tack on various shapes and sizes of ear tips' bores. My favorite improvement is achieved by wrapping a half-filled Blu Tack on round-shaped and large bore tips. Feel free to explore and innovate, as there's nothing to lose.

    Sir how to identify right size of spin fit ear tip for my ears as a m currently using bl03

    • @headphone_zone
      @headphone_zone  3 місяці тому

      The easiest way to determine the size of SpinFit ear tips for your ears is to check which of the stock tips fit you best. For example, if the stock medium tips on your BL03 work well for you, then most likely the medium SpinFit tips will be a good fit. This way, you can ensure a comfortable and secure fit for your IEMs.

    Comply is excellent in comfort and sealing effect but fails miserably on longevity, for me the lifespan of comply eartips is around a month or at max two.

      @headphone_zone  Рік тому +3

      Hey there, the lifespan of foam eartips can vary on factors such as usage, maintenance, and individual ear conditions. While Comply eartips are known for their comfort and excellent sealing effect, it's important to note that their durability can vary for different users. It may be worth exploring alternative eartip materials, such as silicone or hybrid options, as they can offer a balance between comfort, durability, and sound isolation. Finding the right eartips is a personal journey, and it's important to try different options to determine what works best for your specific needs and preferences.

    Just a little bit, but these little bit add on accessories in combination can cost much higher than expected, I believe these brand manufacturers should keep the warranty around for 3 years like rha did, it was very helpful in many ways and also if some kind of INSURANCE can also be provided to preserve our investments on a longer run

    Зараз маю 5 пар IEM і купу різних eartips. З кожною парою доводиться тижнями шукати саме ті, з якими вони будуть звучати найкраще на мій смак. Різниця просто колоссальна, але це ж всього лише шматочок силікону на кінці навушників...

    I don't understand the obsession in the audiophile community to go deeper. Personally I feel it irritating & uncomfortable; and on top of it, if this would have been true, then the over ear headphones hadn't been in the culture. It would be great if companies can focus on getting just the seal correct instead of getting closer to the eardrums.

    • @headphone_zone
      @headphone_zone  Рік тому +15

      Hey there, it's understandable that different individuals have varying preferences when it comes to audio experiences. While some people may appreciate the deeper insertion and enhanced bass response that certain eartips provide, others may find it uncomfortable or irritating. Achieving a proper seal is indeed crucial for optimal sound quality and isolation, and companies should strive to offer a variety of eartip options to accommodate different preferences and ear shapes. It's all about finding the right balance between comfort and sound performance to suit individual needs.
