Как быстро летит время! Уже несколько лет, как Ульяна Лопаткина оставила сцену, и давно Нинель Кургапкина не с нами. Замечательно, что есть такие записи, возвращающие нас в Золотой век русского балета!
do it! I am learning it, just started some months ago. It's wonderful, and although it's difficult, it's amazing how fast you can understand little things.
Her chainé turns are beautiful! And they look like they are in fifth instead of first, is this the Russian style? I've always been taught to do them in first but I know that there is more than one way.
Cath Cart It's a variation for a female dancer from the ballet 'Le Pavillon d'Armide' that's usually included in the grand pas from 'Paquita'. Check out the video titled _Variation from "Le Pavillon d'Armide"_ for a wonderful rendition of the solo.
@ca358721 haha sorry for replying to a 1 year old comment. But yeah, i know exactly what u mean! Russian is a very difficult language to learn and i'm sure it is a little weird to hear it when u don't know what they're saying. it is odd in a good way :)

I saw Ulyana performing live recently - she had audiences mesmerised in every single piece she did! She has incredible stage presence and control.
Learning from the best - Kurgapkina. ♥
Sublime !
i don't understand how you could criticize a dancer like her...
fabulous talent!

What an odd thing to say :)
@blondebunhead I know your comment is old but they're in first. I think her long, thin legs that make it look like fifth.
