Last winter i decided to take on a similar project on a 94 sportster. With little to no mechanical experience i did what any other person would do and took to youtube. Restoring it and fixing some mechanical issues, I can honestly say if it werent for your in depth videos my bike would still be in pieces. Got to finally ride it this past summer with no issues thus far. So glad to see your finished product after all this time. Thanks again👍

Wow, two years was over? An excellent example of the importance of persistence. Gives me a hope and inspiration. Maybe one day I will do such a project too, I am patiently waiting for the right opportunity for me. You have a lovely project ,which came to a successful end. I've done plenty of cheap bikes over the years mate, specially at the beginning, but we will be revisiting the rat and surivival style in the new year!

That looks as good as it sounds. Not usually a one for these types of bikes, and each to their own, but that's deffo a bike I'd love to tear about on. Clearly a megaton of hard work gone into this, you do right to be proud mate, good on you 👍 you're inspiring a lot of canny lads to do the same and creating discussions, especially some of your critics (I also think one of them has loads of talent too, imagine if you's joined forces).
That sounds and looks amazing , that little feel for leaks must be the most anxious part of the build! Is this one a keeper ?
Thanks Andy, not sure weather i want to keep it or not yet, it's been a huge investment, so it'll need a buyer that understands what custom built bikes are worth.. and im sure that once ive ridden it ill want to keep it anyway..!!

Sounds healthy to me! - 2nd nicest feeling in the World - when a plan comes together.
Just in time for a spirited New Year canter too; barrel liners filling to capacity with chilled, oxygen rich air, all stoichiometrically enhanced by hydrocarbons into very long words & rather short bangs by a carburetor Mr. Creosote would proudly bolt to his bucket.
No need to warm the tyres up either, the icy roads soon chill them back down again so it's a waste of everyone's time - including the ambulance crew, so why bother eh? Have fun : )

Top finish to an awesome project! What a beauty, and the sound is amazing, almost comforting, somehow lol. I do confess to a bit of melancholy at the end of each build, I know you feel excitement and are brimming with ideas, can't wait for the next one, but sometimes as a viewer it's like finishing a good book, satisfying but also a wee bit sad that it's over. Hello, I have question about conversion to 1200. Do you have some expirience with corvension to 1250 by Hammer Performance? Cause you may get more HP (80+ HP) or more, than standard about 60 - 65 HP. Im thinking about conversion for my carb Sporty 1995 and I can choose S&S or Hammer Performance. Thank you

What about ignition and timings Del... how did you set that ?
Is the idle low? Or is that how it is meant to be?
Being carb it can tick over as low as 950 and be perfectly healthy, but I'll run it about 1,000 on the road.

What about a test road?
Sounds great, don't keep the idle too low (need some oil flow). And noticed the clutch cable bracket needs securing. Hope you can get it on the road sooner than later. 👍
Sure thing buddy, tick over's happy about 950, but then it can bog off the line so normally keep it just over 1,000... and well spotted on the bracket, I'm going to have to drill the belly pan and clip it too it...!
