Thanks for coming along, it was great to have your support! I did plan to come by and mount a Gopro, but since W&P days seem to go by fast I completly forgot it.. DShK would definatly be nice..
Fantastic video. Thanks from all of us in the Dilligaf Squad (T34 & T54 Crews). It was great to be involved. We've got to get that DShK on the T54 sorted for next year eh? We've got some footage from the tank turrets to edit and post sometime. See you next year
Thank you for your comment, I noticed a lot of views suddenly :) This is late 80s gear so according to the pictures we have they were used. Along with sneakers and jackboots offcourse. I have pictures of them if you want :)
Fantastic Video, oh my god. I also filmed this battle from the hill, although compared to my footage, the intensity in this video is just off the scale. Awesome vid.
Ah I see! That's cool. Nah not looking to broadcast, I'm going to be there this year and just fancied shooting in the arena, looks like a good experience. Cheers!
It all depends who you are shooting for :) I made this video for our own team so I didn't really ask permission.. However if it's for broadcast or such you should contact the organizers I suppose..
Just curious are AK74's a lot harder to get over there? As far as the AKM's use in Afghanistan it was mainly the Afghan forces that got the older AK47 rifles and AKM rifles while the Soviets were using the 74 pretty extensively by the invasion of Afghanistan. The AKMS(Underfolder) was in use by Russian special forces alongside the AK74. Still very cool reenactment hopefully I will make it to one of these.
Yes, 5.45x39 weapons and blanks are a lot harder to find.. A lot of the weapons that are found on the market today came from warzones and are then either deactivated or used for movies. And they pretty much only use 7.62x39 there.. Some new weapons can be had, such as the PKM's we have here.. Those were brand new in cosmoline from Poland (yet still from the 80s..so they had been in storage). Reenactment does mean you sometimes have to compromise..
HAHAHAHA......although this must have been a cool event to participate in, and they got so much soviet hardware down packed, they could have at least brushed up on some russian words, cuz like, there is NO such word as MEDICA in russian. Other than that cool re-enactment PS, soviets won all the battles in Afghanistan, and got out of most of the ambushes, it’s the politicians who lost the war.

have to say i'm impressed indeed,
AKM in 7.62x39 (Blanks) and PKM in 7.62x54R (Blanks)
Where is this War & Peace show?
Good work. :)
My only complaint was people wearing beroyzka which wasn't made til 2000
We might be able to sort something out. Come and find us during the week, look for the "Russians" with a guard tower and a 0t-90 (BMP variant)
Excellent job FW!
Oh, the pain of a tankist xD
Too bad they only had AK in 7.62 , in afgan there was almost only 74 in 5.45
I wanna to notice that Soviet Army didn't use tactical boots, soldiers used only jackboots.
But awesome video, cheers from russian man :)
We only had KZS.. And some KLMK oversuits.. Which both are perfectly correct for Afghanistan.. :)
Just like us :(
excelent vid! where can I buy muslim's clothes? like in the beginning
My bad
it happens:)
We all said that he should wear a panama, and carry a normal rifle but he did not listen to us :)..
Отличная постановка
Yeah it was all serious until the one guy says davai like five times in a row and makes it clear that's the only word he knows in Russian...
