Getting Gilbert Arenas on the show is 🔥🔥
Respect to Gil. Talking to people who don't understand basketball or logic I'm sure is very frustrating, and some of these guys be the main ones saying "if you're not on the court, you won't understand" but can't understand what Gilbert is saying WOW
The fact ox trynna debate gilbert on players he played with/against is crazy😂
🎉
Gill literally had to repeat himself 1000 times for only one or two dudes to be able to comprehend it. And yall wonder why hoopers say shit like your not a true hooper so you wouldn't get it. Being a true hooper is more than being supremely skilled it's also the ability to dissect the game at all levels which you can clearly see most of the panel is stuck on the 1st level🤦
Exactly.. Gil knows what he's doing when he comes in these shows.. He's purposely letting u see it's really professor level thinking n a room full of 6th graders.. It's actually pretty wild.. I hope he does this with every Podcast that's swears they're hoop analysts😂😂
I love when Gil does this, seriously. Especially on his other show w/ buddy that wears a crown.
Gilbert is extremely articulate
Ox got mad mad, he saw himself with the McGee example. He believes that without the footwork's background he/others can execute this type of moves on the game. 😂 salute 2 Gil for pointing out Jokic’s skills.
Exactly and he missed the point big time when he came to in game reps and practicing in real time against defense vs in slow motion It’s just like the shooting in front of a chair analogy. It doesn’t do nothing.
Homeboy said one year of improvement in Giannis shooting is improvement over a 9 year period lmaoo. We gotta stop the 🧢 sometimes
Hakeem's net worth is
$300mil...Your paying for his time
gil kicked ass all stream
Man even when an NBA player come up here and break down this training stuff they still trying to argue him down that he wrong lol CANT MAKE THIS SHIT UP 😂
Facts
just being emotional, they're not trying to understand what he saying.
Aye Lamont BIG shit man! Proud of you! T - Boyz up ☝🏾
Giannis played soccer growing up. Its literally the sport all kids play growing up in eur
But his body type don't allow it to translate
Gil probably doesn’t know that lol. Giannis will prove him wrong with his Dream disrespect
people still don't understand. all gil is saying is that having rare talent doesn't necessarily translate to being able to impart those skills and knowledge into someone else. That's all he's saying. just because you're great at something doesn't mean you'll be a great teacher.
And sengun has improved in his rookie season from hakeem
Yes he did amd it shows
And u can see the Influence 💯
If u watch his highlights prior to the league he’s been had those moves and footwork not jus now🤦🏿♂️
Uh oh FYF for the win. Ticket has been claiming for months that he’s going to bring former nba players to the panel to talk ball and here comes FYF with Gilbert Arenas, one of the hottest sports podcasts in the world to his show. Much respect FYF you gained a supporter for good! Keep the content coming brother
How they questioning Gil’s philosophies? And steps to greatness?! I’m all In on Gil (Pause)
Nobody listens to Gil. He isn't saying "don't go to Hakeem" he's saying "don't go to Hakeem for 50k" all these dudes who don't got money and don't hoop are like "nah it's fine 50k isn't that much for an NBA player anyways but that's not the point. Hakeem should be charging 5k for a week max. 50k for a week is more than most people make in an entire year and he's not doing anything for it. It's just an Oldhead charity at this point.
Great info Gil
Blake had excellent footwork and playmaking when CP was on the bench, he brought the ball up court as well. His main problem injuries and his shooting just came too in Detroit
Hearing Gil explain n breakdown the game against these "podcast pros"breally shows u that the podcast pros really have no understanding of the level of thinking and breaking down the game that Gil does... It literally sounds like a college professor having a conversation with middle schoolers.. It's crazy 😂😂I wish Gil would do this wth every Podcast Pro who talks shit abt him 😂😂
A lot depends on what you can retain
Gil is 1000% right.

Y’all know Gil will argue his premise until the end of time. Right, wrong, or indifferent.
The word of the day is disingenuous 😂😂😂

Of course Ticket would have Smoked Gil
@@DarrelWashingtonJr9002 No he wouldn’t have

Fans got to stay in a fans place sometimes. The fact it was a debate of skill that became natural to the body vs trying to learn something without having that skill nor the body movement to do it. Great debate , but lord it was frustrating
what Gil's talking about doesn't apply just to basketball, but everything. All he's saying is that having rare ability doesn't always translate to being able to teach it to others. Teaching and doing are two different skillsets. That can be applied to playing a musical instrument, singing, writing, anything. Additionally, Gil is saying that part of a teacher's responsibility is meeting your student where they are. That means every student may have to start at a different place based on their current state, most can't start off with the advanced course if they're learning something for the first time. If they need the basic fundamentals first, then you have to start there.
People who are ultra talented can't always impart that talent or knowledge to others. And the reverse is often true, the best teachers are not always the most talented at using that skill, but they can impart information better than most. But because Hakeem is NBA royalty we're not supposed to say stuff like this. It's not a slight to his legacy, just saying that great at doing doesn't equal great at teaching.
Fyf salute
It's not about how much you charge its what someone is willing to pay. This is low key pocket watching.
Sorry for pocket watching
Gilbert is talking about teaching a style of play that is not being used in the NBA today.
So making an investment in learning an alternative style of play when you are already successful with a style that works for you makes no sense in the first place
Akeem was playing in the post. Centers today want to really play like a guard so for a center learning a new style that he has no need for the move in today’s game is ignorant.
When Gilbert spoke about the learning curve in the ability to learn in a class I disagree with.
Every student can improve their grades if they put the effort in or put the work into the studying part which requires time and effort.
Now some students may need to study 📖 more than others. Improvement is based on the individual’s ability to work consistently with dedication.
No player is going to learn a new skill set if in a game the player is playing as a point forward. Lebron and the players today play from a wide set with barely no post players.
Gilbert does make good points based upon his teaching skillset. This is where I disagree. Not everyone teaches a skill set the same way
I trained my son to box 🥊and my son learn the fundamentals from me and I never boxed 🥊. I knew the fundamentals and my son barely got hit.
Gilbert writes his instructions down which is a plus. I agree with some of what he is saying but not all of what he is saying
I mess with Gilbert 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its not what you say, its how you say it.
Pump fakes are a part of the game. It's effective if you're a good shooter so i don't think the moves are underrated. It would be like say you can't go for a steph curry pump fake from 3.
Ox debating just to debate
Salute
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
lol this Big Ox dude just wants to argue. He pretend to ask legit questions and then is mad when Gil doesn't answer him. You can't credit Hakeem for Kobe's game. Kobe had the footwork his whole life. MJ was a post up guard later in his career and Kobe been working on those.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Should be a good one😅
Why some of these dudes SO booty tickled on Hakeem's behalf? 😅
Man it's a coaching problem not a hakeem problem.. them niggas is 7'0 they coaches growing up should have been taught them these moves.. stoudamire said himself he had no moves or knowledge till he got injured and went to NYC that's not his fault dude was a kid coming into the league coaches and training suppose to help the kid within the organization he shouldn't have to go find out teachers to teach him what he show know. The middle school and high school coaches let these kids play on skill instead of teaching them
Gil sound like JayRob 😂😂 MotorOil gang dumb strong rn
Giannis learning post moves is exactly what he needs. You can't run through players everytime. A player like him absolutely needs go to post moves. Don't understand how gill doesn't see this.
Post 😂moves won’t work if Giannis can’t shoot 😂 it’s useless
He needs a jumper, thats no way around it
@@okeythegoat2332 shaq had post moves and couldnt shoot. its where you catch it at on the block
He does get that, thus him saying Giannis would do better training with Duncan than Hakeem. All lost play isn't the same and Gil understands that. He also understands what type of post play would benefit Giannis the most based upon his movement and body type.
lmao they killing Javale for no reason

ox knows nothing about basketball dear lord
Ox is a joke ngl 😂
This is the problem with internet culture. You have a man wearing scrubs at his job arguing with an nba player who made all nba 3x and trying to tell him about basketball. If Gil was trying to tell him about his job he wouldn’t even listen to him but Gil supposed to listen to him?? Gtfoh
Lmao not soccer player!
Olajuwon is worth 300 million dollars so what's he's charging for is his time.
Do you expect him to fly from England where he lives back to Houston to teach for free?
They ask him for teaching because they either watched him dominate growing up or have seen tapes on the man and were impressed enough to seek his knowledge.
These players are wanting to learn a specific skill set that only Hakeem has, and he's showing these players who come to him what they ask for, and it's up to them on how they incorporate it into their games.
It seems like you're expecting everyone who ASKS him for help to be Dream 2.0 the next season.
Also that "overrated" dreamshake helped Olajuwon win an MVP in 94, and back to back Finals MVP'"s, so it must've worked pretty well.

🏀 NBA's New Giants Clash: Chet Holmgren vs Victor Wembanyama's Explosive Preseason Duel 🏀
The NBA preseason just gave us a glimpse of a thrilling rivalry brewing between Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama! Their face-off on the court was a spectacle filled with high-flying actions and remarkable performances. 🌟
Gil training is training... I agree that you have to correct incorrect tendecies.. but I disagree that you can't teach people to do new things.. I do agree that you can't teach any move or anything in a week. You have to take the week worth of training and carry that into your daily routines to master whatever it is you are learning. I don't think anyone believes that a player us going to be Hakeem after a week.
No one should ever speak on you again fam. You get legit people to pull up
Players like Dwight, Kobe, LeBron, KD, Giannis came to Hakeem and ALL had MVP szns afterwards (Career offensive szn for Howard’s case, Giannis TBD). Gil is being disingenuous and too literal.

@@straightlead8 if you look at the post up stats the following szn, hear them talk about what they learnt and added to their game the following szn and watch film. You’d see the correlation dipshit
Notice how Gilbert achieved the opposite with Hakeem ... the more he talks about and convolutes himself ...the more Hakeems moves becomes more popular and he gets googled more !!
Gilbert is also lying.. about Hakeem born natural skills Hakeem came into the league with bcos half the skills Hakeem had on post moves were not there when he entered the pro... what he had
at time of entry was his defense esp. blocked shots and not even steals !!!
For you to agree with him just proves even more of you not knowing basketball at all. If you know how to play with your back facing the basket, that already makes you difficult to contain because the defender can’t put his hands on you. Why do you think Kyrie Irving or even an old cp3 is difficult to guard? Because they know how to move with their back facing the basket.
👍, sorry coach K... You're right
