We successfully replaced our spider arm assembly using this video and another one since ours wasn't the exact model shown. Our washer is now working great! The spider arm was badly corroded with multiple holes noted and the corroded material had packed underneath, causing the machine to become unbalanced. It was not broken yet. We noticed it was getting off-balance and knocking loudly on high spin and immediately stopped using it until we got it repaired. We broke several spider arm bolts in removal so we re-ordered a set of 6 for $7.oo on Amazon as well as the actual spider arm. We did not replace the tub gasket, reused the old one, and so far no leaks! Make sure the spide arm is fully seated in the bearing hub and that the tub spins freely before tightening the 19 mm bolt. We also removed the top bracket of our machine to make moving the tub easier. Hopefully this will help someone!
I can't thank you enough for this video. Could not afford new machine as mine is only about 6 yrs. Learned alot while doing this. The video is perfectly done and easy to follow.
Thank you so much for this video. You saved me hundreds on labor and parts. It took time but that’s expected. This video was very informative and easy to understand. Great job!!!!
You are welcome! Glad we were able to help you out. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Great video, but you missed installing the two hoses on the front top left after putting the drum in
This is completely insane. You have to completely disassemble the entire washing machine to get to the part that is absolutely going to need to be replaced
Get to work boy
It’s easy. Just takes some time WTP G.
Maybe insane amount of work involved, I am saving an insane amount of money doing this today.
@@juicybrucie365 that’s because you don’t put enough value on your time. Trust me, if I didn’t have the money, I would definitely dig in, too. But I get paid $45 an hour so something Hass to be worth at least me spending the time on it
Very informative but at about 10:OO, I started to price a new washer.
Thank you sir
Thanks saved a lot $$$.
Good work I think some of the haters on the screws would be better to undo them without losing them
Ich bin so froh das ich die Samsung wieder zurückgegeben haben und mir eine Miele bestellt habe 😁
Die nehmen nämlich selbst hergestellten Edelstahl für die Spider arms, alles Made in Germany.
guess i got off lucky as i found a quarter in the water sump filter and everything went back to normal. when i ran a rinse spin cycle 2 times to see how it acted i would spin the drum by hand and 2nd try i herd water hitting the drum so i drained the drum and checked the filter on the drain. i had a on and off problem and a quarter flipping up blocking the flow would explain the good load noisy load problem. wife just did 3 loads 2 big and not a bump so i hope that's it.
What is the part number of the washer ring that went around the spider arm? Mine was so corroded I could not use the old one.
great video whats the labor cost for the job
Thanks a lot for video.
Sir.. When inserting the shaft after replacement, is it okay if i do not apply grease between the bearing and the shaft?
A thin coat of a compatible grease ( for example a litium soap based grease) will help it slide more easily, avoid it "catching" and protect both shaft and bearing race if later on you have a leak. If you already assembled it all I wouldn't bother.
Respected sir where is is your training centre
I have a Samsung 2007 front load washer (model WF317AAS/XAA Date of manufacture 2007) which is having balancing issues. Heavy loads like towels do not spin dry. A Samsung repairman working at my neighbor's house suggested I replace the dampers. I ordered two new dampers but have not received them yet. I have been viewing other Samsung washer owner's experience and fear the problem may be the spider ring failing due to corrosion. My question...have others replaced the spider ring, bearings and dampers and been satisfied with the result? The parts for this will total around $200 versus a new washer which is multiple times this.
It would be hard for us to say how long the washer will continue to work after the repairs, because that depends a lot on use and the condition of the washer, but I can at least assure you that if you purchase the parts from us, all of our parts do come with a 365 day warranty.
What is the size of that wave ring? Can I replace it with the rubber o-ring instead? What is it there for anyway? Thanks for a great video.
I'm sorry, I'm not finding any part listed by that name. Can you tell me the time stamp in the video that you see it so I can see which part you need?
Been doing appliance repair for about 20 years... It's never cost effective with labor or parts to crack the tub on any residential machine to replace bearings or the spider arm.
It's only worth it on Commercial machines like speed queen where you can pull the basket and bearing out from the front without removing tub.
It took me about 2 hours to get this done first time and it’s working great again…
I wish you all had a video for the Samsung flex WV55M9600AV/A5. I NEED TO CHANGE THE SPIDER ARM IN IT AND I CAN'T FIND A VIDEO FOR IT.
From what I'm seeing, it doesn't look like the spider arm is a standalone part for that unit. However, there are 4 different versions/revisions of that model number. Do you see something like an FA0001 or a V5. Something under or to the side of the model?
How can I order me the bearing and the arm spider for a samsung anybody please
Are DC97-17004A and DC97-17004B interchangeable? I have a Samsung WF405ATPASU/AA. I called Samsung parts and was told I need a "A" model. But I cannot find it anywhere. Model "B" is available everywhere. Anyone help please?
How to remove the belt and
Instructions good but lighting in some dark areas cannot be seen clearly
They designed those bolts to break on purpose engineered obsolescence
If you calculate the amount of time, labour and part costs. The best alternative for the customer becomes a new washer.
Note: in this video they are demonstrating in a very good, clean, not much rusty and almost new machine. So opening things are very easy and fast.
You do not want to do all this job and then have the machine leak because the tub didn’t seal properly. You better hope everything goes 100% in your favour cause customer is not going to pay you for labour, pay for the part and still have the repair fail.
Unfortunately the tub assembly is No Longer available. The End.
Order in Amazon if they out of stock bro, and Put in that work
128.00 for spider arm and about 3 hrs of work. Definitely not worth paying someone to do as labor cost equal new machine. If you can do yourself very much h worth the time if you have it
depends on the person my husband had this all apart in under an hour
These things are pieces of crap. I feel sorry for people who bought them
Why you even watching the video lol
Because I work on appliances for a living. I always watch repair vids to keep up with new stuff. My version of continuing education
Everything are pieces of garbage today. Nothing is built to last more than 5 years.
@@leifnevener3213 What is the best type of low-maintenance washing machine would you recommend?
