In this Live My Disney Experience App Tutorial, I am walking you through how to take an account that you manage, and merge it with an account that someone has created.
My Disney Experience has a way to do a lot of things. The challenge is that not all of those things are simple to figure out. So I create these My Disney Experience App Tutorials to help you use My Disney Experience, or MDX for short, as easily as possible. This help you save time, and frustration, planning and enjoying your Walt Disney World visit.
A lot times when we are visiting with friends or family, we start to create profiles for people in order to make plans. But sometimes those we are visiting with will create their own My Disney Experience profiles so that they can make plans for themselves. When this happens we need to go through and combine the accounts, which is what we are doing in this My Disney Experience App tutorial live.

Just making sure I understand. Ive shared the plans by invite to give my nephew access to his ticket but I show up in his friends and family list and he can see my ticket in addition to his ticket. I want to be sure the lightening lane reservations we make separately dont interfere with each other since he will be off doing his own thing and I'm managing for 5 others. Does sending the invite to connect prevent this or is it just giving him visibility and the ability help manage the larger group?
My 17 year old is going to Disney World with his school. The website won’t allow us to add a payment method and I guess it’s due to his age. Do you know how I can set up his account to be able to do mobile ordering or buy genie plus through the app? I already linked his park pass, so I don’t know how to go back to set him up under my account and if he would be able to pay for things if I manage his account.

But, the one question that I would ask is if his account is managed by you or someone else. If it is, then you would need to create a separate My Disney Experience account linked to his own email. If you have an account that is managed by someone else, there is no way to set up in app purchases like mobile order or genie+
So first thing is to make sure that your son has his own account linked to his own email, and then you should be able to connect a card to do the above.
Can I add a baby to the list? Just to have an avatar at the App.
Yes! You can add anyone to your My Disney Experience with a Managed Account. The baby just won't have a ticket to link, and won't be able to be included on things like Lightening Lanes or Virtual Queues.
Do magicbands/passes without reservations transfer?
When you merge an account any magic bands and tickets will merge to the new main account. So if you have a magic band or a park ticket that is attached to a managed account and then merge them through the process in this video with an regular account the magic bands and tickets and any plans will switch over
How do I share my young child's info with my wife? She doesn't see him/her on her F/F list on her account?
A couple things
1. You want to make sure that you have your list set to share your family and friends list
2. Have your wife go to her family and friends list and add a guest, from there select to add family or friends through connected guests.
As long as your family and friends list is set to share then your wife should see your child’s my Disney experience account that you are managing.

If I merge an account with DAS, will it still be there?
That's a great question that I actually don't know the answer too. That would be a question that you really need to talk to Guest Relations for, or someone at the Guest Experience Team tents through the parks. Sorry I couldn't help with that.
