Hi jeff good video it brings back memories when I went on the ncl gem with my parents. This month is rough for me tommorrow would have been my grandmother's 96th birthday than on Friday would have been my parents 50th wedding anniversary than on the 16th would have been my mom's birthday it's rough sometimes .I enjoy watching your vlogs
It must be hard. Try to look at July as a month filled with good memories and spend some time doing things you really like to do. You'll get through it buddy! Thanks for watching!
On my last cruise on the NCL Gem I found the buffet outside was although less food options but was easier to find a seat and of course better scenery. I'm now looking forward to my Dec.cruise on the Gem from Rome to NYC.
If you wake up and you don't like the looks of the items on the buffet, can you usually just walk into a restaurant or are you up the creek because you didn't make reservations somewhere?
You're correct Richard. You can turn around and go somewhere else. Sometimes for dinner, reservations are recommended if you really want to be in a particular restaurant at a particular time but for the most part, I just walk into places when on a ship. I'm really not a buffet person (believe it or not) but in this case it was fast, substantial and convenient. I wanted to get ready for a busy day on the island. I really only do buffets for the channel. Thanks!
@@NuYawk I still remember your love for the macaroni & cheese at Hard Rock: I'd like to get a bite of it without paying the fee, but I'm sure I'd enjoy it the whole thing
Do I understand you right, are the buffets open all day, throughout the day, so you can stop in anytime? They must close at night. Can you eat something at 4am? Incidentally, are the dancing clubs open late
The buffet is open all day from around 6am until around midnight. It changes four times a day: breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snack. There is always a place open 24/7 on a ship to eat. On the Gem it was O'Sheehan's Irish Pub that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner (all very good) and they also have an open bar 24/7. Some clubs and lounges are open until 3-4 AM. There is always something to do no matter what the time! Thanks Richard!
I’m on the Quantum Of the Seas: I agree. The buffet is crazy with eggs.😆I do a buffet flyby too.🤘🤘
I had no idea you were away! Enjoy your trip and be safe! Let us all know how it was!

Yes! I liked to open air buffet as well! That sounds like an awesome cruise in December Joseph, I'm jealous! Will you spend a few days in Rome first?
@@NuYawk Not in Rome but will be in the cruise port for two nights.

Thanks Jason!
