Awesome collection, very impressive, I am in east SF bay but I don’t think we have the wasp in our city. I just started my collection 1 year ago. Thank you for doing the video. We need more people in this area doing fig videos, most are from east coast.

By the way, you may have wasp if you live in the southern part of the east Bay. A friend of mine lives in Foster City and they have wasp there.

Which city do you live in? Wasps should be pretty much everywhere in the Bay.

I live in Saratoga. Yes, wasps are pretty much in most cities, especially, if you are not at the coast. I heard in some parts of SF, they don’t have the wasp.

Our stories are parallel, i have ove 80 trees and over 60 varieties. I started in 2019 with 1 but buy 2021 was up to 3 after that learned enough to root my own cuttings . I live in a 7a zone and see zero to over 100 degrees, so very challenging

Nice collection! Since you live in California, do you get caprified figs? Do you keep any caprifigs in your collection to encourage fig wasps in your garden for pollination of your trees?

Yes, I do. I have a few capri figs, I guess four. One of them gave some figs this year. The rest are small. I expect them to start fruiting from the next year.
