@@gabrielguerrero5103 any on Amazon that's higher than 18watts out of the USB C. If you use a normal 18watt battery bank your max brightness is 25%. So my answer is look for one that's over 18watt unless 25% is bright enough.

The 40 watt version has a very fragile case and a very noisy fan. 60 watts has the same drawbacks?
I've had a really good experience with my M40 as long as you don't press on the back when the fan is running. From my tests, the Zhiyun G60 fan is quieter than the Amaran 60x fan.
Great video!!! but background in the forest is moving too much by itself. Maybe less stabilize your footage so it's less warping.
How do you think they compare to say the 60-100X from Amaran ? Because these zhiyun ones are more expensive and less powerful
I think the fair comparison here is the G60 vs the 60X, since both are 60 watts and comparable brightness. If you get the base model G60, it is the same price as the 60x. (Both should be $200 USD) However, if you want to attach a big softbox then you need the G60 with the combo kit, which will cost an extra $50. At that point you will need to decide if the extra $50 is worth having a light that is roughly have the size and weight.

that is cool but - I need something universal to add extra light to take an interview indoors as well as use extra light for photos outdoors.... budget is around 400$ ...i haven't started earning money but don't want to waste couple of 100 for unuseful for both scenario

What softbox diffusers would fit with the X100? Is it a universal mount?
I only know that the softbox diffusers would fit with the X100.
I’ve used a smallrig 33” soft box and an aputure mini no with no problems. The adaptor was more capable than I expected. I love these lights. I have the 100x, the 60 and two 40w to cover my bases on the go. They’re so small and powerful!

You didn`t say anything about the fan and how noisy it is...
That's because it's quiet enough that it wasn't a factor. Keep in mind I'm using the x100 to film this video and it's about 3ft behind the microphone! Not sure the exact dB since I don't have an SPL meter yet!

The portability of these lights is spoken about almost like that's the only thing to consider. And let's face it, most people are buying this FOR that reason; the portability factor. Right? Of course. But the size and weight of the light is almost a distraction from the real consideration. The size and weight of the power option. Let's ignore the wall-plug barrel plug power brick option because most people will not be interested in that, or using it very often, because there are marginally more expensive lights for in-studio work that are much, much better than this.
The small form factor is the selling point here. But that goes straight out the window when you realize you need a large, heavy power bank to power the light. So this is a problem, especially for the cube sized 60W light. The problem is slightly less of a problem for the 100W light because is comes with a handy power bank handle. Nice! What's not nice though is that it only lasts for 30 mins at full charge and then what? We're done shooting? No, we're still shooting but we're just shooting without a light. So these lights look really cool, and I'm sure the size to output is amazing.....but the power limitations is one major, underlying issue that prevents these from being portable and convenient to use, which is supposed to be their unique selling point. In other words, these lights are not light, and not portable, because the PD is part OF the light in reality.
The only reason someone should buy these lights is to buy the 100W version if they only would need the light for a quick shoot under 30-40 mins in which case the power bank handle grip becomes useful and convenient. Other than that these lights are not quite what they appear to be.
🇦🇺 All AUD $ - X100 = $719, 60W pocket = $399 and the 60W combo = $549 - All Plus shipping $$$ Anyone still going to pay 💰 that much for these? I’m saving up for a few of the Sirui brand lights for my studio 👌🏻

Compare that with godox SL 60 and find out that it's 5 times brighter wich means this chinese little light is about 10-15w in reality.
