Any video/interview with John is worth watching. I have yet to hear a pair of his speakers in person, but hopefully that changes soon. Great video and I can only imagine what an amazing experience it must be to sit in John's office and listen.
I own the o/93 for 3 years now ,few months ago I had a chance to listen to the o/baby at a local show and was surprised how big they sounded but even more was how they "disappeared" into the room. Well done John 👏
I really enjoyed that, Ken. Showing the trip to Dumbo and the Navy Yard really set the scene. Great mix of new speaker design, passion for music reproduction and gear talk. Bringing your own choice of LPs over must’ve been a treat! Hopefully you get a pair for an extended listen at some point. Looking forward to you views and feedback when that happens. I'm not going to lie...I'm not a speaker expert...and barely understood 25% of the tech speak. What I am, however, is a audiophile of high-quality music. And at a price range of $5-$6K, these are entry to mid-entry level bespoke speaker system for a serious listener of music. And to fully appreciate these speakers, you'd probably need another $6 - $10K in a mid-high end turntable, cables and receiver. So, basically, we're talking about a $15,000 system...give or take. Cool video...that Tony Williams solo was amazing!!!
Are these available at American Sound of Canada? Michael Fremmer just did a really good tour of their store on his channel The Tracking Angle, but I don’t think I spotted them, unless I missed them.

I know you run a jazz forum, but did you listen to any rock or pop music with vocals? I've seen so many videos of New Yorkers reviewing these speakers but I haven't heard any mention of anything other than jazz, classical or instrumentals.
That’s a very good point. I listen to old rock music on them such as creamer Elvis Costello or Jethro Tull. But most modern rock on vinyl is not recorded very well. I had a couple mastodon LPs, they sounded like shit though the CD sounded good. If I knew of well recorded contemporary rock albums I would definitely use them. I have played Radiohead on them many times.

It's hard for me to visualize any recorded music reproduced in a different room environment to sound as if The musician(s) are transported into your listening room. It may very well sound like a fabulous reproduction of the drums that Tony Williams is playing. I don't think it will ever be possible to transport the sound within the boundary of the recording environment and get it to sound like it's right in your listening room. It would have to have the exact same room acoustic characteristics which is highly doubtful.
I'm an owner of Gibbon Xs. I'll be visiting my daughter in NYC on October. Is there an opportunity to visit Devore Fidelity and listen to your speakers in its native habitat? Thanks!
I stated in the intro, there is no way a road microphone can capture the full Fidelity and frequency range of a pair of oh baby loudspeaker. These speakers are anything but thin. Bring your glasses

Fascinating story about the tweeter, agreed that you hear with your entire body, espoused in the past by Vladimir Lamm, now passed, great music.

And there’s something wrong with that? I think it was an ingenious idea to take the super high-quality Tweeter and put it into a lower priced speaker.
