I think the one in the movie took their keycaps from a video mixer/wipe effects control panel. At least that's what it looked like when looking at a freeze frame taken from the movie.

I tottaly want one. To bad the cylinders didnt rise up like in the movie and have the red button in each on. But on the other hand. Bad ass job :). Must of took some time

Uh...you forgot a step. The purpose of screwing those bolts into the sockete was to pull the four cylenders up from the control pannel to gain access to four buttons to press and activate the next task in the self destruct sequence. Sure, it's shiny and pretty and seems a near perfect replica of the self destruct control pannel, but you forgot that one function...technically you failed.

The thing you forgot was that those cylinders, once the screws are screwed on, eject slowly then require a slide button to be slidden.
It would have to be built into the ground for that I think.
Oh and he forgot to add the reactor to that too.

You could mount actuators and motors underneath easily enough. Contact propology. They can probably retrofit this for oyu.

It won't detonate because you never released the priming mechanisms. That is the only reason the assist bars are there..
