I was hoping you would show how you handle the tshirts without stabilizer and not stretching the fabric and keeping it squared. Any special ironing? A massive amount of pins? 7:32
When you sew cotton fabric around all of the tshirts it stabilizes the stretchiness. I quilt on a long arm. To quilt on a regular machine I spray glue ...no pins
I know it is a rather old vid but does the quilting on the shirt designs affect the designs themselves? Are some types of shirt design s better to use than others? Example: shirts that are prone to flaking off design with normal wear wouldn't work but I assume most others would wear well long term even in quilt form
Most of the shirts wear very well with normal use. Quilting does not affect the shirt design. My machine quilts nicely over numbers. The only problem you might have is if the design is raised. In this instance you would need to just quilt near the design and not over it.
