That Double Rye is what got me started 5 or 6 years ago. Really enjoy those spice notes and LOVE the different Barrel Select finishes!!
I just bought my first bottle of High West Double Rye, Batch #22H12. I must first say 38 years working in a coal fired power plant has greatly reduced my smell. But on the taste it’s sweet. A little too sweet….. also too thin. It’s probably the age or the lack of more age. Thanks for your review.

I had a 2019 double rye and it was all dill pickle! I enjoyed it, and at $35 in Michigan, you can't go wrong.

I really like the Double Rye. It’s really tasty and I get the dill, spice, and grassy notes. The ABV is solid as well. What’s funny is that here (Florida) the price can fluctuate wildly from store to store. I have seen it as high as $48 and as low as $27. I wouldn’t pay $48 but will pick it up at $27 anytime I see it. It’s interesting to see you guys have such a stark difference of opinion on this. To each his own.
Bart agrees that $27 is a very good price for this one and he would pick it up.
This is interesting…I bought a bottle of Epoch Rye and similarly found the nose to smell far more like gin than whiskey. I’ve been wondering what the heck is going on because it was an overwhelming gin thing for me (and not in a good way), but online reviews don’t mention anything like that. So, based on what I just learned here, it’s a rye pine note that only Bart and I taste hahaha. 😉

Well Bart has always been the true dummy but that's why I watch honestly...wanna see what he's going to say next 😂 like the rye madness brackets when you guys were getting silly... I still watch those. My A is strong 😂😂

Looking forward to trying this, bought a gift pack with this and their bourbon and 2 cool glasses for 44 bucks. So, 20 bucks a bottle. It would have to be really horrible to not like it at that price. It runs 35-40 around here

With that 'stache Bart is reminding me more and more of the great western film actor John Russell.
He looked like a guy who could filter some strong rye through those whiskers. I prefer Campifire to Double Rye. Slainte!

There’s definitely pine-y notes in here, but I like it. I also got bubble gum notes when I added water. Mind you the bottle that I had was back in 2019. ¡Slainte! 🥃
