No, battery doesn't need to be replaced.
Thanks for the insight inside of this laptop, I am currently experiencing constant random bluescreens and after reinstalling windows all the drivers running cmd commands, bios updates, and troubleshooting with all the tools out there for lenovo as well, I can't make it work. The only solution might just be to have someone look at it but I dont know if I want to trust local tech shops with it, pay and it not working.
I am experiencing WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR but its so vague I dont know where to start if I look inside of it. I thought I'd clean it after 2 years of usage with a cooler, maybe that'd help?
Check the ram with memtest. If not that, then it's very likely a bad motherboard :(
How did you go over literally everything but the SSD??? I need to know how to unplug and plug it back in because my device doesn't detect a hard drive.
Literally every other video I make shows that. Remove the screw, and it lifts up slightly, then pull it out of the slot.

Great video! Thanks! Any suggestions on swapping out the cooling unit? My fan is making a buzzing noise. (Maybe a broken blade/ hitting the fan case.) I would replace just the fan, but its a lot cheaper to get the whole unit. Thanks.

This was very helpful in getting mine open. Unfortunately, nothing I've tried has been able to resolve the issue of it powering up but the screen remaining black. Any advice?

How does one access BIOS on this lenovo C940? F1 or F2 or F12 repeatedly at start does NOT work (I tried ALL the F1 through F12 keys)
There's likely a small hole in the side with an arrow shaped like a u. You have to press that with a pin while the computer is off.
@@ItsBinhRepaired I saw a video on that topic. My C940 (on the side) has 1 USB, 2 smaller charging ports and 1 headphone jack. Looking at all 4 sides, cannot find a small hole that one would insert a pin into to access BIOS...
