When her mom shows up, I cry EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Everyone talks about "Into the Unknown," but this is the song that really fits me in the feels!
Same!
You know me too. What got me was when all the images showed around her. I was like " oh my god that's her life. When she was born, when Anna was born, when they played together with her powers. When the accident happened and everything that happened after that including the death of their parents and then the girl she saw, that was her mom." And this has to be my favorite of the Frozen songs. I like it more then Let it go.
“You’re the one you’ve been waiting for” hits me so hard every time
I remember watching it in theaters and this scene had me in a pool of my own tears
Yeah this is one of the few movies to make me cry in the movie theater and it's this part right here. This moment elevated Elsa to being the most relatable Disney char for me because her journey from the first movie to this one, it's my journey just minus the magic stuff lol. The line that hit me the hardest was this, "I've always been so different, normal rules did not apply." That's when the tears started to appear.
The only other movies I can think of that made me cry are the following- The Last Unicorn, Titanic, The Lion King, Land Before Time, and An American Tail.
The line "you are the one you've been waiting for" gets me every single time. It's like the first movie was about loving and trusting your family and friends and working together with them, and the second movie was loving and trusting your own strength to stand apart as well.
I tear up at that line every time. Into The Unknown is an amazing song, but honestly, Show Yourself is the best song in either movie.
YES - and that is what makes it so powerful!! Because it's such a hard thing to do - especially for Elsa who was always afraid of hurting someone...she finally realizes she can be who she is and not hide anymore...she can - "SHOW HERSELF". LOL. But your point is spot on!
Same 😭
I cry every time to it, it hits so hard emotionally. 💙
2nd 1st move
Show Yourself is so underrated. Best song of the movie, not only Frozen 2 but all of the Frozen songs. Unpopular opinion, this to me is way more better than Let it go, that is huge, but Show yourself.... chills and tears.
I cry with this song for sure
The emotional impact of this song had me in a chokehold for about a week. I was like "What's wrong with me"
I agree 100% - this is the absolute best Frozen song - both movies AND the Broadway show - although Monster and Colder by the Minute from the Broadway show are both close behind!
It's one of my top 10 favorite Disney songs I've ever heard.
It definitely is not underrated lmao
I love how Idina Menzel is able to give just enough force to her to her singing and grow it to culmination - what many cover singers often lack.
That song always gets me. I cry every time! The words are so powerful and can apply to our lives - “YOU are the one you’ve been waiting for…” lean into yourself, embrace YOU!
Aurora sang the high background vocal, and sings her own version of "Into The Unknown". A lot of people will suggest "Into The Unknown", which is good and has a lot of great covers of it, Acapop Kids did one for example. However I suggest you check out "Lost In The Woods" and "When I Am Older", both are less serious and so much fun.
Lost in the Woods!! I saw the movie in the theater and that took a bit to process. I wasn’t sure what to make of it at first. Whether to laugh, or feel bad.
If you like covers of these Disney songs, I recommend giving Caleb Hyles a listen here on UA-cam. I especially like his cover of Show Yourself and Let It Go
Aurora’s cover is so beautiful!
I don’t think I’ve ever cried in theatre before watching a Disney movie but holy crap. The “I am found”??? And then harmonizing with her mother? I bawleddd
This song made me BAWL my eyes out when I first watched it. Best song in the Frozen franchise, period.
Dude, I'm a grown man and I absolutely BELT out frozen songs. They slap. Don't apologize or justify liking any music. Good video!
Edit: I'd love to see your take on "The Next Right Thing" from this movie as well. Talk about not pulling punches.
The next right thing makes me cry every time I sing it... yet I keep doing it. 😭💔
i love a lot of a of the Disney songs. Think most of my favorites are from the Tarzan movie.
Also for those that say Disney movies are for kids, I pity you for not enjoying life enough.
Nothing wrong with grown adults enjoying kids movies/old cartoon shows.
@@Cordaran I agree on both points :) I enjoy Disney movies as much now (if not more), as i did 20 years ago. Also the Tarzan soundtrack is an absolute banger! Phil Collins didn't need to go that hard, but he did. And man am i glad he did.
I think Adults should've start to realize by now that animations aren't just for kids anymore. These things are marketed for kids to push their parents to consume the materials and creators made somethings in there for parents and adults to enjoy too. I dont know why we have to always remind people that here we are adult 20 something watching a Disney movie like you are going to be labeled as a big baby if you dont... Soul, Encanto and Inside Out, these are movies that an adult would definitely appreciate and if you are an adult who didnt get those messages, then you are a baby.
Show yourself is definitely the best song from both movies
Luv your reactions to the disney songs! Another from Frozen 2 is "Into the unknown", luv the message it sends and its just as amazing. Thank you for ur songs as well!
This is actually Show Yourself x All Is Found,
and the transition always gives me goosebumps. You'll understand why if you watched the movie full for the first time.
the lines "come to me now open your door< dont make me wait one moment more" gives me goosebumps and also when her mother shows up and the lines "ah ah ah ah" this song is very underrated for a disney song.
I've listened to this song over and over for at least 10 times, and "I am found" literally tears me down EVERY SINGLE TIME :'000
Everyone in the comments is saying that everyone always recommends "Into the Unknown" but everywhere I've seen "Show Yourself" is the favourite, like it's not really underrated, everyone who's heard it loves it
Hey I'm 31 and I am a die hard Disney fan. Nothing will ever break me of that. I will continue to love it even when I get to be a ripe old age.
Everytime i listen to this song I just get goosebumps all over man
Me tooooo
Thank you, Brad, for your reaction to Frozen 2, the song Show Yourself, and the amazing voice of Idina Menzel.
The softness and power in this song is unmatched. Idina has many flaws but the softness she can emulate in her voice that goes right into raw power is very hard to emulate. This song and clip is so well made. The part "You are the one you've been waiting for" always draws some tears from my eyes. It's so powerful.
This is my absolute favorite Elsa song. I wish more recognized. Everytime her Mom comes in I get chills. It’s such an awesome self acceptance song, finding who you are, inspirational, etc.
I have listened to this song so many times, and I still cried during this video. It's a masterpiece.
She has such a beautiful voice.
Thank you for not screaching your opinion like a banshee. I really liked your reaction. I subscribed.
i watched both movies in the cinema
this was probably my favorite moment out of the movies
when the music really kicked in it was just magical
i still get goosebumps every time
Its insane how much power Idina can fit into her tiny body.
This whole soundtrack gives me goosebumps, glad someone else agrees
This is the reason I love Disney movies. The music and the message is always so strong
Elsa singing with her mother brings tears every time
5:33 is my favorite vocal part of the song, the way she says born is amazing
My favorite visual part is how she burst open the pillars blocking the entrance as the beat drops
I love that even without the context for the reprise of the lullaby it's still amazing. It's even better when you know that and have the context, but this song is amazing in every single moment :)
This song brings me to tears every time!
The other singer is Evan Rachel Wood who was in the Beatles musical “Across the Universe” and plays Delores Abernathy in HBO’s “Westworld”.
“Are you the one I’ve been looking for all of my life?”
This guy: “Yeah”
Always makes me cry especially “you are the one you’ve been waiting for all of your life”. What’s funny is they kinda advertised an earlier song “into the unknown” as the new “Let it Go” keeping this one under wraps. But your are right definitely the new “Let it Go.” Also if you haven’t don’t into the unknown it is great. And Anna has a heart wrenching number that I can’t remember the name of
This song makes me cry every time lol
Mate got a 4 year old daughter so I know these inside out! Also again awesome Shirt!!! BEST IN THE WORLD!!!
I'm a 35yo man, and I'll watch the hell out of some Disney! No shame! Helps that I have a 3yo daughter, too.
Found you randomly. Disney plus has a making of frozen 2. This song is discussed plus more. But it makes me appreciate this song more. Worth a watch. I want to say it is like a 7 part series.
This song is objectively more powerful and more emotional than Into The Unknown. This is Frozen 2s Let It Go 100%
chills. actual chills.
It is a very incredible movie! 😍😍🤗
Please check out all the songs from Frozen 2
This song gives me chills because Elsa finally gets the answer she's been waiting for about her power.
The only songs I love from Frozen 2 are -
* Somethings Never Change
* Into the Unkown
* Show Yourself
This is an exceptionally well written piece of music. The layering of instruments as the song gets more complex, and more powerful echoing Elsa's confidence growing through the lyrics. Allowing the words "Show Yourself" to speak for themselves without any music and then to echo the syllables with followup musical beats. Throwing syncopation in there for a bit with what she is singing. Key changes are always powerful moments in a song... and then to realize that it goes from Elsa thinking she is looking for someone else... and really all she ever needed was to accept herself... to show herself. You are the one you've been waiting for.
I love movies from every studio out there... but Disney has an extremely talented group of writers, artists and musicians and they absolutely know how to get to the core issue of a story that hits everyone in the feels in some way. It's unfair.
I'm also extremely annoyed that this is NOT the piece from the movie that got all the public attention from Disney. They promoted Into the Unknown as the big number. Maybe to avoid spoilers or something, I don't know. It's catchy and fun, represents a turning point, but Show Yourself is powerful. Like you said, it's the stand up in your seat and cheer song.
Dude I love the way you understand the song’s meaning. The way you explain it to us and shit.
I am just happy I found your channel ❤
Interesting fact.. they had such a hard time writing this song it almost didn’t make it into the movie.
Fun fact/ this song was almost cut completely because no one could agree on the “ path “ for the song. To me, it’s the best song in the movie and the fact it couldn’t be as popular as into the unknown because of spoilers is a real shame.
Disney’s Frozen became a Broadway. It also went on tour and performed in places like Japan, Germany (I think), and London. You should check out the OBC recording of the Broadway and react to Live performances of songs from the show. Here are some songs from it -
* Dangerous to Dream
* What Do You Know About Love?
* Monster
* Colder by the Minute
* Hygge
* I Can’t Lose You
Frozen 1 was on broadway and now tours and shows in other countries ( not New York )! It's one of my greatest dreams to star as Elsa in Frozen 2 on Broadway or live top production. It has been such a big part of my journey and i connect with her story and the story of Frozen & Frozen 2 so so much. These movies to me are so powerful and healing for the world. Thank you for sharing your gifts! I just found your channel and love your energy :) Enjoyed watching this
I would like to recommend the german version, Willemijn Verkaik‘s voice is another level although I really love Idina. Willemijn also sang the Netherlands version because it is her heritage.
Hey - better late than never :D This is my fave song from the movie
i'd suggest checking out "into the unknown" next.. that's the Let It Go of the second movie lol (also consider checking out panic! at the disco's version.. *INSANE* vocals)
yeah this was hands down my fav from the movie! into the unknown was the one that popped off from this. its good but this one is my fav
This was a sleeper of a movie. Sneaks in and grabs you by the emotions. If you want to react to one that’ll do a number on you, do “The Next Right Thing”
Next Right Thing is also a banger. Frozen 2 gave not only Elsa a banger (as expected), but it gave Anna the chance to show her character depth and have to come to terms with her crippling dependency issues. Should definitely look at that next
Disney has some of the best songs that is only really appreciated by adults
Yeyyyy!💓💓💓💓
Me and my friends actually did this song in a winter concert for my musical theatre class at school and the song was split into parts so me and friends could sing it each part would be what matched our vocals and it was really good and one of my friends could actually do the high Ah’s that was near the beginning of the song
You should do Lost in the Woods in Frozen II. It's Kristoff's big number. They did a great job writing a song to match his character.
Great reaction you should react to Into The Unknown from this movie there is also a Panic at the Disco cover of Into the unknown both are fantastic.
I'm 35 and I still love Disney movies!
Actually, it's more like middle of act II. But the ending is really something. I cried watching that song again (and I watched it already so many times). You should watch "Into the Unknown" that has the Dies Irae too. And the final "The Next Right Thing" which means so much to anyone who feel they lost everything and they don't have the strength to continue.
When all my mental health issues gets a bit though i come to this song, cause i think it all comes from holding my moms hand at her last breath at me being 19 and her the young age of 54.
So whenever i feel done with life I need a picker upper I just need my mom.
I LOVE this song, especially since we got to see frozen 1, but did not get to see frozen 2 together
i honestly love all the songs from this movie
I cry every single time I hear this. To me its that good... However in hindsight it doesn't take a lot for me to cry so....
This is a eurovision song contest song to me, dont get me wrong, i love ESC ❤️
beggin you to regularly react to some claire crosby!!!! shes an incredible 9 y/o singer! her family is so talented and theyre very underrated imo! she also recently did a fantastic cover of "surface pressure" from encanto
A vocal group, I believe you enjoy, Voctave, has an amazing cover of this. No video of a performance yet, just the song off their most recent album. 😊
Can someone explain why this song always makes me cry😭😭
Voctave does a version of this as well.
Thar ah ah ah ah is auroraaaaaa
when i say i bawled in the cinema it was 🚰🌊🌊🌊
i am brazilian and most of the songs translations just got me i will never complain about how we dub the disney movies but show yourself lost so much power its my fav disney song so far and i miss a lot of the meaning in portuguese the line you are the one you've benn waiting for man that just put so much of me toggether sometimes its actually insane how a kids movie makes me feel everything
The whole film looks like it was staged for Broadway. The music and the graphics is just unreal
I strongly suggest into the unknown and next right thing their also amazing
Just so you know, the little boy her younger version mother is holding is her father.
Into the Unknown is just as good if not better! Do it next please!
The song you're thinking of from Toy Story 2 is "When She Loved Me"
good reaction i would like you to react to disney songs in different languages
ok but like you have GOT to watch frozen 2 into the unknown!
The lyrics are for so you can understand the so g quite more because you can't really see the lyrics in the video so i wrote the lyrics myself and it took forever- rip hand
Lyrics:
Every inch of me is trembling.
But not from the cold.
Something is familiar
Like a dream i can reach, but not quite hold.
i can sense you there
Like a friend I've always known.
Im arriving,
And it feels like i am home.
I have always been a fortress
Cold secrets deep inside.
You have secrets too,
But you dont have to hide
Show yourself.
Im dying to meet you.
Show yourself,
its your turn.
Are you the one I've been looking for, all of my life?
Show yourself.
Im Ready to learn.
Ah-ah-ah-ah
*(Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah)*
I've never felt so certain
all my life I've been torn.
But im here for a reason,
Could it be the reason i was born?
I've always been so different.
Normal rules did not apply
Is this the day?
Are you the way?
I finally find out why,
Show yourself
Im No longer trembling,
Here i am
I've come so far,
You are the answer I've been waited for, all of my life
Oh show yourself
let me see who you are
Come to me now.
Open your door.
Dont make me wait,
One moment more
Oh, come me to now
Open your door,
Dont make me wait,
One moment more
Where the northwind,
Meets the sea
There's a river,
Full of memory
Come my darling.
Homeward bound.
I am found
Show yourself,
step into your power.
Grow yourself,
Into something new.
You are the one.
You've been waiting for.
All of my life.
Oh show yourself
Ah-ah-ah-ah
*(Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah)*
Ah-ah-ah-ah
*(Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah)*
Ah-ah-ah-ah
Show yourself kinda sounds like speechless.
In a country so filled with broken homes and absent parents Disney knew exactly what they were doing when this song was written. It speaks to kids with families plagued by absent parents and it speaks to kids whose parents, while not perfect, did everything they could and loved with everything they had. Fucking Disney... Come a long way from Sleeping Beauty.
There’s a Kirstie ft Voctave cover of this song!!! You haaaveee to check it out! 💗
This is mine and my 7 year olds jam. It makes me tear up every time, especially if you know the context of the movie. Side note: I’m convinced that this was the songwriters clever way of implying the popular Elsa is gay theory. The lyrics come off that way to me anyway. Of course it can be interpreted other ways as well, but the whole idea of showing your true self makes men think of coming out
You should react to Caleb's version
Legallll
Go watch the movie!!
@BradSteele Can you do a reaction to The Land Before Time 3 song Kids Like Us?
It's such a beautiful song. My favourite, though, is definitely The Next Right Thing.
I really can't believe your watching the clip and haven't seen the movie so you have no idea what's going on. I really hope you watched the full movie after all.
u should react to into the unknown
Into the Unknown I'd the big song from Frozen 2
check it out in German :)
i refuse to believe you havent heard show yourself since the movie came out 😅
The movie itself doesn't pull any punches.
You should check out Anna's song, The Next Right Thing. It hits hard.
Don't be shy react to the Spanish version 8)
I love the song but personaly i like the Latin american better, Carmen Sarahi is God
Anyone can enjoy Disney.. Doesn't matter if you're grown or man, who cares? it's a movie its not like you're becoming a princess yourself lol
Hi please doing reaction to UN1TY So Bad
