Such an important message regarding the glamorisation of rich boyfriends. Financial independence means you always have an option and I’m so grateful I had the strength to leave a toxic relationship where he wanted to isolate me and have control. If you’re reading this and having doubts about your situation please speak to someone close to you, I wish I did sooner ❤

Liv always struck me as really authentic owning her flaws. She was the most real and likeable on LI

Such a good episode. Been saying that these words are thrown too easily these days.
Guys who don’t cheer on our wins do not deserve us. That’s my biggest take from this. Having a good support system is vital when you get out of a toxic relationship ❤

I LOVED this episode. I listened to it twice and wrote notes! Paul is incredibly clever. I wish it didn't end!

So interesting. My ex is for sure a psychopath, obsessed with himself (flexed in my bedroom mirror everyday etc) and no empathy whatsoever. I lost a resident at my work and he said “so what she’s old she was gonna die at some point”. He’s totally out my life now and charged with domestic abuse but I always love getting to know more about narcissists!

Liv I was a watching this at 2am as was sick as a dog. Your wotsits advice creased me up - I was shaking with laughter!
Paul is a KING why cant they all be like him? Ive been divorced now for 7 years and heck he was talking about my ex Narcissist on tap.. so informative and loved these nuggets of advice, esp the child piece, I left when my baby was 7 and she wont take any s&&t from anyone. It can be an abusive pattern and if you dont see it you just get used to that environment it was so damaging - 17 years ! But a free bird now
I wont do the dating apps I would rather be single girl. You are AMAZING love this for you xx Keep it up honey ... you are brilliant babe

I’m loving this podcast Olivia is so authentic and Paul’s a great guest .. great advice .. as a foster carer he’s spot on about parenting.. it isn’t given anywhere near the significance that it should .. so many children and young adults have to suffer the consequences of bad or even below average parenting

5 minutes in. Love Paul anyway but now love him even more. And Olivia of course. She is one of the girls ❤ she could present love island in the future when Maya gets pregnant and moves to Monaco. (adhd at it’s finest) anyway, love the pod ❤

I fled domestic abuse with my 2 children last month. It took a long term plan and saving… and when the opportunity arose we left.

I agree with people acting in ways they've learnt. My ex-boyfriend grew up with his father hitting his mother and girlfriend. He mirrored this on to me, and all of his other girlfriends. :(

I heard "the ick" in Love Island season 2 , by Olivia Bowen.
Im pretty sure it was Olivia. Go and check it out. I always scream at TV because you always say that, but I know I heard that by Liv Bow, not even her, Even before, I just know i heard it. Ick ick ick. We, in Croatia, say Bljak
