  • Atiu is also known as Enuamanu which means land of the birds. But there's much more to this, the third largest of the Cook Islands in the South Pacific. This is an introduction to a unique place where tourism is still in its infancy. Visitors can expect to be treated as guests and discover fascinating places and warm and friendly people.
The music is Atiu Enua (Kapa Rim) bny Piritau Nga. It's from the the islanders' award winning performance at Te Maeva Nui, 2007.
I gratefuly acknowledge the opening footage of the kopeka from the Cook Islands Biodiversity and Natural Heritage website (cookislands.bishopmusuem.org) - an extraordinary piece of work by Gerald MaCormack of Rarotonga which I urge you to look at.
You can find out more about Atiu and the other 14 islands of the Cook Islands at www.cookislands.org.uk -- the most detailed guide on the net to an unspoiled South Pacific paradise.
