- On the map (if you can find them at all!) they are just 15 tiny dots in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean...but together they're the Cook Islands, a unique paradise nation of warm and friendly people and stunning scenery.
Aitutaki - one of the islands - has been used as the location for the US TV series, 'Survivor'on CBS and the UK series, 'Shipwrecked' on Channel 4 TV.
You can find out more about all the Islands at www.cookislands... - the only independent, non-commercial guide on the net to all of the Cook Islands.
This is part one of a two part guide to all of the Cook Islands. And even if you can't visit them in person, hopefully this will give you an idea of why they're so special.
The film has been split into two parts because UA-cam doesn't allow videos longer than 10 minutes. This part covers 8 of the 9 islands in the southern group. Part two will follow very soon. In the meantime, escape to a different world..or as one Australian author put it, to a place "where today is forever and tomorrow never comes.
(I am indebted to an amazing man called Gerald McCormack for the footage of the kopeka and the stills of some of islands' bird life. He's created the definitive database about the islands' flora and fauna at cookislands.bis... which I can't recommend too highly. Additional stills are courtesy of Marcus Gleinig and Ewan Smith of Air Rarotonga and Graeme Whitfield of Summerfield Systems, Rarotonga)
I was so lucky to get to travel to the Cook islands back in 2006. A seriously long trip from my home in Norway, but so worth it. Such beautiful place and friendly people.
Hope to go back soon.
Thanks John for your Cook Islands videos and narration, that's awesome. Meitaki Maata

Kuki 'Airani is gorgeous.
Much aloha from your Hawaiian cousins.
Heavenly... I want to go.
Var det like øde og fredlig som det ser ut på bildene ?
Going their this summer !
Does anyone know the song at the 2 minute mark. Ive heard it before, but would like to know what it s called. Even though lastpokemon doesnt like it, I love it.
Yes, Cook Islands are most beautiful country in Oceania!

Kommer ann på når du skal reise, hvor lenge du skal være borte og hvilken hotellstandard.

I tilegg kommer hotell ( er ). I denne regionen koster 3 stjernes rundt 1500 kroner natten.
Im just gonna go there and never come back
Very disappointed about this video and the reason being is???Who ever took this video didn't take a time to explore Mitiaro Island properly for the whole world to see..There is alot of things and places on Mitiaro that people will want to know and see..I am from Mitiaro myself that's why I'm complaining..And for your info?Mitiaro is not the small island, it is the same size as Mauke and Atiu...That's why they are called Nga-Pu-E-Toru...
Jei
Jeg va rkun på Rarotonga og Aitutaki.
